You're My Only Star

As there was still a lot of time before the working hours ended, Lu Xun decided to bring his sister back to his place so that she could rest after that long flight.

On their journey back to his place, the two of them chatted about Lu An Ran's life and her little family in C Country until they reached the house.

Seeing the tall building in front of her, Lu An Ran took out her phone and started to text her husband that she had arrived at her brother's place.

Then, Lu An Ran watched as her brother helped her to carry the luggage in the trunk and spoke, "Brother, you haven't told me about your girlfriend. Is she the same person as the one who had rejected you previously?"

Lu An Ran has been worried about his brother a lot. After he had broken up with his ex years ago, her brother had not dated anyone else.

The last time she met her brother, he had mentioned that he was rejected by a girl that he had liked. After those failures, Lu An Ran was worried that her brother would give up and stop thinking about finding his other half.

Now that he had started dating someone, of course, Lu An Ran was curious to know what kind of person her brother is dating..

No one knew how shocked and happy she was when she saw the picture of her brother and his girlfriend's cat that he shared with his circle of friends. She then tried to find news about her brother and found the news of him admitting that he was dating someone.

Her brother has been dating his girlfriend for a while but he had not said a word to her.

Knowing that he will continue to hide things from her, Lu An Ran decided to head to Capital City to find her brother.

As one of the closest people to her brother, of course, Lu An Ran wanted to know just what kind of person is her future sister-in-law.

"Mhm... She's the same person that I have mentioned to you a few months ago."

Lu An Ran's eyes lit up upon hearing his words. "Really? You finally made her changed her mind?"

"I took your advice and began to pursue her seriously. After a while, she agreed to date me," Lu Xun said.

A faint smile curled on his lips as Lu Xun thought of the time when he had to chase his girlfriend. Fortunately for him, Song Xing Xing did not make it too difficult for him.

He lured her mostly with food until she decided to go out with him.

Lu An Ran has been observing her brother as she listened to him talking about his girlfriend. Seeing the smile on his face, Lu An Ran was a little stunned.

This was the first time in a long time that her brother had such a look on his face. It seemed that her brother was serious about this girl.

Seeing the happy look on her brother's face, Lu An Ran could not help but feel relieved. Now, she was looking forward to meeting his girlfriend even more.

As the two of them entered the house, Lu An Ran looked around and saw that there was a cat's treehouse at the corner of the room.

"Brother, did you get yourself a cat?"

She recalled that his girlfriend had raised a cat and thought that perhaps her brother was doing the same.

Lu Xun followed her brother's gaze and said, "No. My girlfriend lets me look after her cat sometimes. I bought some toys for her cat so that he would not get bored when he comes over again."

Lu An Ran turned to look at the cat's toys at the side and thought that his brother had probably bought too many toys. From the look at it, her brother was ready to let the cat stay at his place forever.

"Go ahead and rest in your room," Lu Xun said. "I will call you when the time comes."

"Alright." Lu An Ran carried her luggage and headed upstairs to the room that she had previously stayed at.

Because she had left a few clothes at her brother's place during her last visit, Lu An Ran did not pack a lot of things with her when she came to Capital City.

Her luggage only contained some toiletries and some important documents. Her big luggage will only be used to carry some souvenirs for her husband and son to C Country.

Lu An Ran walked into her room and looked for her clothes, planning to get change before she take a nap. However, as she browsed through the clothing in the wardrobe, Lu An Ran began to notice that something does not feel right.

It seemed that some of her clothes were missing.

Thinking that perhaps, her brother had moved them somewhere else, Lu An Ran walked out of the room to look for her brother.

Seeing that he was still on the phone, Lu An Ran decided to wait until his call ended.

"Brother, did you moved the shirt that I bought the last time?" Lu An Ran spoke as he had finished the call. "I remember that I bought a few new clothes and put them in my room."

As Lu Xun recalled the shirt that his sister mentioned, his expression began to change. For a moment, he did not dare to look at his sister. "That... I'll buy you a new one."

"Huh? What's wrong?" Lu An Ran did not mind that her brother buying her some new clothes. However, she still thought that this situation was a little strange. "Don't tell me that you have thrown them away?"

That clothes are still new. It would be impossible for him to throw it away, right?

"No." Lu Xun looked away and looked at his sister with an awkward expression. "Last time when my girlfriend slept at my place, I let her wear your clothes. I'll compensate you with new clothes, alright? You can buy as much as you like."

Lu An Ran gasped.

His girlfriend had already spent a night at her brother's place?

"Brother, just how far has your relationship progressed?" Lu An Ran held on to her brother's arms and stared at him with a hint of excitement.

She had only left for a few months, but there was already so much progress? Lu An Ran thought that she will need a lot of time to process everything.

Lu Xun let out a chuckled. He stretched his hand and patted her on the head. "An Ran, just go and rest first. I have already talked to her and she agreed to have dinner together. Whatever you wanted to ask, you can ask them after meeting her."
