Chapter 172: All 3 Ascended!
What a glorious day this was for Portalia, the common populace, the humans of them, vampires, phoenixes, demons, gomen, witches, elves, and dwarves of them all celebrated.
For them to welcome 3 celestials above their world is an achievement worthy of year-long celebrations; however, in the case of the Portalians, those who were above and truly knew what was going on weren't so happy.
Leona didn't take long to ascend after Alexaner—just 5 days, celestial time.
Draco was still on his spot and got up to welcome her, alongside, Alexander, Love, and Life, once again.
The greeting wasn't long after a few smiles nods and introductions, Truth appeared.
"I see you're all here." He said before he took a look at Draco and nodded. Draco nodded back and kept staring at him, alongside the others.
"There are some things you have to know now that you're celestials and responsible for an entire world. Before we go into the details of our situation, let's first talk about the duty of a celestial and their tiers." The group were surrounding the circle on the ground, where the ascendants come through.
Draco, who already knew most of the information, still kept his ears attentive if he was to gain anything new, while Alexander and Leona, who didn't know much, were completely serious.
The first thing Truth did was explain the duty of a celestial, how they were supposed to oversee the world and protect it from enemies, then he switched to how they can gain achievements and rise up in power before he moved to the most important part.
"Now if you look deep within your soul, you can find information about yourselves, and one thing that must be bugging you is why does it say you're Demi-Celestials?" Truth stated, Alexander and Leona, who had truly wondered what was going on, were happy that they would finally get answers.
"Well, you see. Celestials have tiers, and every one who ascended is nothing but Demi-Celestial. Demi doesn't mean that you aren't fully a celestial or anything like that, it just means that you're within a trial period to see if you're truly worthy of taking up this burden, you can also think of it as the last tribulation." he explained.
"After blessing the first talent and gaining a few achievements, you can easily ascend to become a lesser celestial. Now, this is when things get fun." Truth's hands were dancing all over as he explained before they stopped when he mentioned the fun part.
"It is only a matter of time to become a lesser celestial, and keep in mind that a celestial, even a Demi one, is automatically immortal; You can live for eternity as long as your world is intact since you guys are still bound to the world. Us, on the hand." he said as he pointed at Love, Life, and then himself.
"We're not in any danger. Once you become a lesser celestial, you are officially recognized by the great mother, and even if your world is completely destroyed with all the life within it, you won't suffer much aside from having to look for a new world." he explained.
"But remember, becoming a celestial doens't mean you're unkillable... yet!"
"The first few tiers aren't much of a guarantee; if someone kills you, you die once and for all; however, if you reach higher ranks, you won't die even if you're killed, no matter what."
"Don't be scared or feel intimidated. Being a celestial is all about being cautious and taking your sweet time. You have eternity in front of you; why famble it all just for faster progress?" As Truth spoke, his goofy attitude started to surface once again. Speaking with the young people made him drift away from the encounter he just had with his dearest friend, whom he will never meet again.
"Now if you're smart and know what you're doing, you can always ignore my words and do what you want. I won't stop you; however, you're responsible for your every move." His tone went heavy for a second before he just eased out.
"Well, you have nothing to worry about as long as you're within this floor, hahaha." He laughed. Love and Life, who were wondering what was up with Truth being all elderly, finally let up a sigh.
"Excuse me for a second." Life wanted to give her own lesson as she stopped truth from saying any else.
"Even within this 100th floor, you have to respect everybody and know what youdoing, Everybody here is independent but we're still working towards a single goal—well, not all of us, but most of us. We're here to protect our home world and, at the same time, reach our highest potential." Truth nodded at hearing this and the young ones followed.
"Don't forget that for a celestial, there's no upper limit, as long as you take your time, you can reach the peak." Love was added with a wink, tingling the spark of motivation within the hearts of her son and Leona.
"All in all, what I wanted to say was that you should calculate your every step and never form a bad relationship with someone you can't afford to mess with." Saying this, the mood turned gloomy for a second as Love, and Truth's gazes darkened.
"We'll come to that soon. There is something more important that I'm sure all of you want to know." Truth smiled to ease up the mood and said.
"The tiers." he stated.
"The first is a demi-celestial, and then lesser; what comes after? Well after that is the High Celestial rank. This is the last tier you can die within; after this, you're part of the truly immortal ranks of this battleground."
"This is also the rank most of us here are within... Unfortunately, something much higher doesn't allow us to reach higher ranks." Even if Truth wanted to put an effort into keeping the mood and motivation of the youth there were some things that had to be said.
