Chapter 171: Alexander’s Arrival!
It was only a few minutes later that Truth rose up from the ground. The first thing he did was tap Draco's shoulder with a smile.
"Thank you, young man." And he turned his back to return to his spot, once again taking out a jar of booze as the first one had fallen to Portalia from Truth's shock.
Draco guessed that the old man needed some time alone, so without a single word, he just left the scene, teleporting back to the center where he ascended.
Now that he was able to just settle down and restructure his plans, he wanted to take things slow and the first thing he could do now was...
"Zero." There were some promised rewards he had to take, and he would be lying if he said he wasn't looking forward to the potential boons.
Zero, with her dark hair dancing, appeared next to Draco, who was sitting inclined on a beautiful cherry blossom tree.
"Are the rewards enough for you to level up?" He asked. The most important thing for him right now was for the system to keep up with his progress and continue being a reliable tool even within this higher realm.
"Indeed, Host. It should be enough to get me halfway through the second upgrade." Zero replied, her words putting a smile on Draco's face.
"Very well. For now, just take enough to level up, we might need the rest for something else." he ordered her.

"Status." Draco ordered the system to show his stats that he hadn't seen in years.

"Not bad." Draco nodded and then looked up at the sky, his mind wandering.
As Life has said before, time passed differently within this realm. Draco didn't feel it until 3 days passed and the tower opened its ground for the second ascendant to appear.
It was, of course, Alexander.
Draco smiled, feeling his presence. The scene that was going to play out now was something Draco looked very forward to.
Alexander was overwhelmed by the feeling of strength he was feeling at that moment. He then felt the atmosphere around him and it hit like a truck.
The calm feeling, the sound of the breeze, the warm scent—everything just made him feel right at home. Yet he had a feeling that something bigger was in place, something much more important.
"Well, that didn't take you a long time, did it?" Draco got up from his place and teleported all the way over.
This time, the ones to welcome Alexander weren't many—just Life, Love, and Chaos.
"Oh, Draco. You're already here? Yeah, man, it seems it wasn't that hard. Though, I probably didn't achieve better results than yours." Alexander looked at Draco and smiled. Seeing a familiar face in a new environment was always nice.
"Hmph, isn't it quite rude of you to ignore me when it's our first ever meeting?" A soothing voice that Alexander was far too familiar with rang through his ears.
Alexander, surprised, confused, and shocked, turned to look at the source of the voice, thinking he might just be hallucinating or that Draco was playing a trick on him.
"M-mom?" His eyes opened wide as he couldn't understand what just happened.
"That's right. Did you miss me?" Love smiled sweetly as she teleported right in front of Alexander, opening her hands wide for him to hug her.
"Come here." she asked. Alexander, who couldn't understand a thing from what was going on, remained still.
Draco was on the side, smiling at the silly face Alexander was making, and Love also smiled and the air around her calmed down.
Instead of forcing the hug on him, she just retracted her hand, got closer, and patted his head.
"You did well coming this far. I'm sorry if I wasn't a good mom." she said, expecting a specific reaction from Alexander, however...
"This shouldn't be right. No, it shouldn't be like this." The young man fell into a dilemma by himself, his gaze still on his mother.
"What shouldn't be like this?" Love, confused by what he said, asked.
"Well, of course, you being here. It wasn't part of the plan." He replied, looking straight into her eyes and explaining, as if he was saying the most obvious of facts.
"And why is that, young man?" Hearing this, Love took a second to understand before she squinted her eyes, not quite liking the answer she just got.
"Wait, wait, calm down. I didn't mean it like that." Alexander, seeing the gaze his mother was giving him, got scared and raised his arms.
"What is it, then?" Still with the annoyed gaze, Love asked.
"Well, you see, I made up my mind and all that in that last tribulation that I wouldn't ever be able to see you and that I should just forget and leave everything behind before ascending. I even thought that I would use this chance to focus on myself and grow stronger than ever, then I would come back and bring you all from Portalia without anything hindering me. And now...
you just had to..." Alexander spoke what was on his mind and stopped before he said anything that would put his ears in danger.
"Pfft, hahahaha. Right? I guess I can't blame you. Well, who are you to complain? You got your dear mother to babysit you as a celestial. Now come, we have a lot to catch up on." Love suddenly laughed it off and sneakily inserted her hand on his and teleported him all over her private quarters.
Draco saw this and just shook his head with a smile.
