You're My Only Star

A light flickered in the nurse's eyes when he saw that the person who stood in front of her was none other than the popular celebrity, Huo Yun Chen.

Her legs subconsciously stepped back. "Huo... Mister Huo?"

Huo Yun Chen caught the change in the woman's expression the moment she recognized him. The complicated look in her eyes was very hard to ignore.

His gaze lowered until it reached the nametag on her chest. However, the nurse quickly moved to cross her arms on her chest.

When Huo Yun Chen lifted his gaze again, the nurse was staring back at him with her eyes wide.

The corner of his lips twitched.

Why was this nurse looking at him as if he was a pervert? He was merely looking at her nametag, alright?

Huo Yun Chen let out a cough and waved the empty bottle in his hand. "Nurse Xia, sorry. I was only looking for the water dispenser."

It was then that she realized that the man was looking at her nametag a while ago. Xia Yu shifted her gaze to the bottle in his hand. Then, her gaze moved to the crutch under his armpit. It was then that she recalled that the person in front of her was also a patient.

Her eyes changed again. This time Xia Yu was looking at him in anger. "Don't you know to press the call button and ask for help?"

He let out a cough. "I didn't want to bother anyone." It was late at night and everyone was still asleep at this time. He had thought that the nurses should be resting at this time. He also knew that he should only press the call button in an emergency. He merely had a sprained ankle. Huo Yun Chen did not want to cause panic to anyone.

"You're not supposed to walk around," Xia Yu continued to speak, ignoring his excuses. "Celebrity Huo Yun Chen, have you forgotten that you are an injured man? Don't you want your legs anymore?"

Xia Yu thought that Huo Yun Chen was a little strange. After she was stationed at the VVIP ward, Xia Yu was used to meeting all sorts of people and tried to cater to their demands. She wouldn't mind helping him to refill his bottle with drinking water. It was better than watching him made his injury worsen.

Huo Yun Chen became speechless when he was scolded out of the blue.

He only told her that he wanted to get some water. Why would she scold him like this?

Moreover, no one had ever scolded him like this. The nurse's eyes were too piercing. It gave him the feeling as if she did not like his presence. A thought came to his mind. It couldn't be that this nurse was one of his anti-fans, right?

"If you continue to walk around with that feet, you might have to prolong your stay in the hospital, don't you know? Have you forgotten what the doctor had said to you? You shouldn't put too much pressure on your ankle."

Xia Yu watched as the man opened and closed his mouth a few times as if he had something to say. She hesitated for a few seconds before she spoke again, "Go back to your room. I'll help you to get some water."

Huo Yun Chen pursed his lips and nodded. "Thank you, Nurse Xia." He watched as she stretched her hands at him and placed the bottle into her hand.

The nurse continued to stare at him, making him feel uncomfortable. Just as he was about to turn around, the pain in his ankle started to throb again.

Huo Yun Chen gritted his teeth as he tried to suppress the pain. However, someone had held his arm, supporting his body.

"Is it painful?"

Huo Yun Chen turned to the nurse, wanting to convince her that he was fine. However, the words he wanted to say were stuck in her throat when he noticed the concern in her eyes.

"Wait here. Don't move around."

His eyes followed the nurse as he leaned his body on the wall. A few seconds later, he heard some creaking sounds coming from the side. He followed the sounds and saw that Nurse Xia had returned with a wheelchair.

The woman gave him a feisty look before she spoke again. "Sit down. I'll push you back to your room."

The nurse was too fierce that Huo Yun Chen had no other choice to listen. He sat down and was pushed back to his room.

Xia Yu helped him to turn on the light before she helped him to get back on the bed. Then, without saying a word, the nurse went out again.

Huo Yun Chen finally heaved a breath in relief when the nurse had left. He looked at his throbbing ankle and thought that they seemed a little blue compared to a few hours ago.

Now that he was alone, Huo Yun Chen began to think about the sounds that he heard coming from the nurse's station. He was very sure that someone in the nurse's station was playing 'Legend of the Sky'. However, before he could see that person, the sounds had suddenly stopped and Nurse Xia had suddenly appeared.

The door was pushed opened and the nurse walked into the room again. This time, she was carrying his bottle of water in his hand.

Huo Yun Chen watched as the nurse placed the bottle on his bedside table within his reach and thanked her.

Xia Yu was planning to leave when she realized that the celebrity was alone. "Where is your assistant?"

"I sent her home to rest." Huo Yun Che grabbed the bottle and drank a few mouthfuls of water. The frown on his face disappeared when his throat was moistened. "My assistant is a woman. There's not a lot of things she can do to help."

"Then, you better ask your management to send a male caretaker to look after you," Xia Yu said. "Remember, before the swelling stop, you cannot walk around carelessly."

Huo Yun Chen flashed her an amiable smile. "Thank you for your concern, Nurse Xia."

Xia Yu narrowed her eyes at him and her gaze turned complicated. She turned around, wanting to leave when she heard him speak.

"Nurse Xia, I have a question." Huo Yun Chen waited until the nurse turned to look at him before he continued. "Are you the only nurse on duty tonight?"

Xia Yu chuckled. "Of course not. There are a few nurses as well."

Huo Yun Chen was in deep thought as he heard her reply.

Xia Yu's gaze fell on his half-emptied water bottle. She thought about his question and her face suddenly turned a little red. "Nurse Wang is a male. I will ask him to come in and help you."

The nurse left the room and closed the door behind her.

Huo Yun Chen thought about her words and found that they sounded a little strange.

When Nurse Wang entered the room, Huo Yun Chen finally comprehended that Nurse Xia had misunderstood that he needed to go to the toilet.
