You're My Only Star

Huo Yun Chen woke up from his sleep after sleeping for two hours. His injured ankle was throbbing and he could not sleep well with the pain.

At this time, Huo Yun Chen was silently regretting his decision to remain stubborn.

If only he did not force himself to continue filming while ignoring the slight sprain on his ankle, he would not have to suffer this much.

When his manager dragged him to the hospital, Huo Yun Chen had thought that the pain was still manageable despite the scary look. However, now that the pain killers had gone away, Huo Yun Chen was in so much pain that he had the urge to cry.

He took his phone which was on the bedside table to look at the time. It was only three in the morning and everything around him was still dark.

Feeling his throat parched, Huo Yun Chen reached to take the bottle on the side. He was disappointed upon finding that the bottle was empty.

It was then that he seemed to recall that he had drunk his water before he went to bed. He did not expect that he would wake up in the middle of the night with a parched throat.

He realized that he could call and ask someone to help him to refill his drinking bottle. However, he had no one beside him.

Because of his identity, Huo Yun Chen was assigned to the VVIP ward. The hospital had good security and they were assured that not just anyone could enter this area.

Last night, he saw that his assistant was a little tired due to lack of sleep and had urged her to go back home. Initially Lin You did not want to leave him alone. That girl only agreed to leave him alone in the hospital after he told her that he wanted to eat some home-cooked porridge.

Lin You was worried that he would not have much appetite and thought that she should ask her mother to help her prepare some food for him. This was the only reason she had left.

Huo Yun Chen thought that he could rest peacefully with no one beside him. However, he now realized that he had no one to help him.

A heavy sigh escaped him.

He wanted to ignore his parched throat but after tossing and turning in his bed for a while, Huo Yun Chen realized that he could not fall asleep like this.

After weighing his decision, Huo Yun Chen decided that he needed to drink before he could fall asleep again.

He moved out of bed slowly and frowned as his legs touched the ground.

It was painful and he could not understand how could he have forced himself too much yesterday just so that he could complete the filming earlier.

Little Star was right. He needed to look after his body well and love himself more. It was not easy for him to recover after his last injury and he did not want to go back to that time where he was so helpless and on the brink of giving up everything.

Huo Yun Chen waited for a few seconds until he was comfortable standing up. The pain was still there but he thought that he was getting used to it.

He grabbed his crutch and then, the emptied bottle. Slowly, he walked to the door, planning to head out to find a water dispenser to refill his bottle.

A deep crease appeared on his forehead as he tried to bear with the pain.

It was no wonder that his manager was so mad at him after he chose to ignore his sprained ankle.

Huo Yun Chen turned to look at his right and left, wondering just where was that water dispenser located.

Everything around him was dark and quiet. Looking at his surroundings gave him an eerie feeling.

He finally noticed that an area on the right corridor was a little bright. It was then that he recalled that the nurse's station was located there. With the help of his crutch, Huo Yun Chen turned in that direction.

He figured that there should be a few nurses who were at their station and decided to ask them for direction.

His steps were slow and steady. Huo Yun Chen focused on his steps and thought that exercising and practicing walking like this was quite good. Perhaps later, he could ask his manager to talk to the doctor and let him rest at home.

It would be more comfortable to rest at home. As long as he could move around, everything would be fine.

As he was approaching the nurse's station, his ears picked up the sound of music. As he walked closer, Huo Yun Chen began to realize that this music was a bit too familiar.

Wasn't this the background music for 'Legend of the Sky'?

He played this game almost every day and could recognize this music well. Judging from the cheery background sound alone, Huo Yun Chen could tell that the player was now in Welling Village. Coincidentally, he had visited this village a few times and fought a few high-ranking monsters nearby. 

It seemed that whoever was playing this game was a high-ranked player as well?

Huo Yun Chen was surprised at this revelation.

He slowly walked over to the nurse's station, dragging his painful legs. Huo Yun Chen was suddenly curious to know just who was the person who had played this game.

However, just as he was about to turn the corner, the music suddenly stopped.

The surroundings turned quiet.

Huo Yun Chen peeked his head out to look at the nurse's station and found that there was no one there.

The cold wind blew out of nowhere, making him shiver.

At this time, he was silently regretting his decision to come out. If he had known that the night at the hospital would be this scary, he would press the call button and let the nurse help him fetch some water instead.

However, it seemed that it would be too late for him to turn around now.

If a ghost suddenly popped out of nowhere, he definitely could not escape with his injured ankle.

His body started to sweat as his mind went wild.

He turned his body around, wanting to return to his room. However, a woman dressed in white suddenly appeared in front of him.

Huo Yun Chen let out a gasp in surprise at the person's sudden appearance. His hand was on his heart and his face paled at the thought that he had encountered a female ghost.

"What are you doing here?" the woman asked.

It took him a few seconds to realize that the person dressed in white was a nurse.

It was the same nurse who had wrongly walked into his room a few hours ago.
