You're My Only Star

Outside the residential area, a few reporters continued to camp to find out the identity of President Lu Xun's fiance. However, a few of them has chosen to give up as well, knowing that they would have better luck if they chase after another celebrity.

For the past few weeks, Song Xing Xing has been using Lu An Ran's Volkswagon Beatle to the studio. Lu Xun had never used his sister's car before and no one was able to link this vehicle to him.

The reporters watched as her vehicle come and go for days but none of them could guess that the person they were looking for passed through them almost every day.

Song Xing Xing thought that the only thing that came out of this was that, she no longer needed Lu Xin to send her to the studio before he went to his office.

Lu Xun might not like this arrangement that much but Song Xing Xing thought that it was good that he could save his time from running around here and there.

Soon, a new scandal about a celebrity broke out and the public attention was no longer on Lu Xun and his unidentified fiance. The public was too busy scolding this celebrity to care about Lu Xun and Song Xing Xing.

When Lu Xun arrived at his office earlier that morning, Special Assistant Bei Yuan greeted him at the elevator with a bright smile on his face.

"President Lu, someone is here to see you," Bei Yuan reported. "He's waiting for you in your office."

His brow rose. Lu Xun picked up his pace as he headed over.

Lu Xun did not have to ask for that person's identity to know who that person was. Bei Yuan has worked for him for years. The people who were allowed to wait in his office were not that many. It couldn't be his fiance as that girl had only parted with him a while ago to head to the studio.

He pushed the door and saw his friend, Zhang Yu Han sat on the sofa, reading a newspaper.

"You're here early."

Zhang Yu Han raised his head and put down the newspaper in his hand. "Took the earliest flight this morning. My wife had a meeting that she needed to attend."

In the end, this person only came to find him because he needed to kill some time as he waited for his wife.

Lu Xun had eaten plenty of dog food from this friend that he was now immune to their PDA. Moreover, he was no longer a single man. His parents were coming to meet Song Xing Xing to discuss their wedding.

"Shareholder meeting?"

"Mhm..." Zhang Yu Han nodded.

Lu Xun walked over to the small pantry in his office and poured himself a glass of water. "Are you that free? Previously, you always head over to your hotel for an inspection." He raised his head and asked, "What would you like to drink? Coffee? Tea?"

"Coffee would be fine," Zhang Yu Han said. He watched as Lu Xun walked over to the door and spoke with the secretaries outside his office. When his friend entered the room again, Zhang Yu Han then spoke, "Coincidentally, I have a few matters that I needed to discuss with you."

"What?"

"I heard that you are getting married soon. Since I have already said that I will sponsor your wedding, of course, I have to come and figure out the details from you."

Lu Xun halted. It took him a while to recall their previous conversation. "I was joking." They have been friends for a long time and Zhang Yu Han often helped him before he moved to Capital City. Lu Xun did not want to take advantage of his friend. Besides, he could still afford to have a wedding.

"I'm not joking." Zhang Yu Han smiled.

The two friends continued to look at each other for a while before Lu Xun finally heaved a sigh. "Fine. Then, just let me use your hotel as the venue."

Zhang Yu Han shrugged. "I heard that this time, it was Anna who had caused trouble for you again. Lu Xun, you are too soft-hearted. This was the only reason why she had dared to cause trouble for you again and again."

"Initially, I only wanted to give her a chance, knowing that she still has to support her parents and son." Lu Xun chuckled. "I did not think that she would continue to cause trouble for me."

He no longer loved that woman. He only sympathized with her after learning that she was divorced from her husband. Back then, she had left him for a bright future with the man she chose. Lu Xun was bitter but in the end, he still hope that she would be happy with her choice.

Who would have guessed that the person that she chose to make her happy would still divorce her?

He had finally moved on but Shi An Na wanted to return to their past.

Bei Yuan entered the office to deliver a cup of coffee before he quickly left.

Zhang Yu Han took a sip from the hot coffee and looked at his friend again. "I heard that she had quit her job and was planning to return and stay with her parents in Y City."

Hearing this news, Lu Xun looked up in surprise. Didn't she need this job to support his parents and son? Why would she suddenly quit? He hasn't done anything to make her lose her job.

"I don't think her return this time is anything good," Zhang Yu Han said. "Lu Xun, I hope that you will not be that soft-hearted to her anymore. Or else, you might hurt the person you care about the most."

Lu Xun lowered his head and frowned. "I know."

Father Shi looked at her daughter with worry in his eyes. When his daughter had walked through the door, Father Shi had thought that his daughter returned for a few days to look at her son. He did not think that Shi An Na would announce that she had quit her job.

"It was not easy for you to finally land yourself into that job," Father Shi spoke. "Although you have to spend most of your time away, they gave you a good salary! With your qualifications and experience, do you think that you can find a good job like that one?"

Father Shi was angry. However, he still did not dare to scold his daughter too much. Each time he was reminded of how his daughter was divorced, Father Shi became soft-hearted.

A thought came to his mind and his face darkened. "It couldn't be that you are still thinking about getting together with Lu Xun, right? Anna, previously, it was you who had left him. Even if you're not embarrassed, I am ashamed each time that I ran into Lu Xun. You cannot cause him any trouble. He's going to marry someone else."

A flash of anger appeared in her eyes. Shi An Na quickly recovered her mood before she sat down and pulled her son to her. "Daddy. You are thinking too much. It's not because of him. These days, I have to spend a lot of time away from my son. I missed him and could not bear to be apart from him for a long time. What's wrong with quitting my job? As a mother, I don't want to miss watching my son growing up."

Hearing her reason, Father Shi began to hesitate. The moment his eyes fell on his innocent grandson, his heart began to soft again. "You better not lie to me. If I heard that you are causing more trouble for Lu Xun, I will personally send you abroad and never let you return." 

Shi An Na rolled her eyes. "Daddy, you are thinking too much.. I know what I am doing."
