You're My Only Star

Dinner with Song Yi and Han Yue Xiu went very smoothly.

While having dinner, Xiao Jun insisted to sit beside Song Xing Xing and demanded her aunt to feed him his food. Each time that Song Xing Xing fed him his mashed food, Xiao Jun would glance at Lu Xun, as if gloating that he got to enjoy this special treatment.

Although Lu Xun could feel as if there was something wrong with the way this baby was looking at him, there was no way that he would start a fight with a baby.

He continued to watch as Song Xing Xing fed the baby with food and chatted with Song Yi on various topics.

After dinner, Song Yi invited Lu Xun to his office to discuss a few business matters while Song Xing Xing accompanied Han Yue Xiu to chat while playing with Xiao Jun.

Han Yue Xiu clapped and stretched her hands to her son. "Xiao Jun, come over to mommy."

The boy stared at his mother for a few seconds before he quickly buried his head on Song Xing Xing's chest. Xiao Jun continued to mutter some baby words but everyone was able to guess that he was saying that he wanted to continue and play with his aunt.

Han Yue Xiu looked at her son who was clinging to Song Xing Xing and sighed helplessly. Looking at the situation now, Han Yue Xiu was very sure that the boy would not let his auntie leave so soon.

"Xiao Jun, your auntie Xing Xing is going back to her place," Han Yue Xiu spoke. "Let's not disturb her and go to bed first, alright? Mommy will accompany you to sleep, alright?"

The little boy ignored his mother and continued to lean in Song Xing Xing's embrace. After a while, he pulled away, looked at his aunt, and flashed an adorable smile.

Song Xing Xing looked at the baby and her heart grew softer. Suddenly, she did not have the heart to leave so early. After teasing Xiao Jun for a while, Song Xing Xing turned to Han Yue Xiu again. "Sister-in-law, let me accompany Xiao Jun a while longer. I'll coax him to sleep and leave with Lu Xun afterward."

Han Yue Xiu looked at her son and frowned. Then, she turned to Song Xing Xing again. "Would that be alright?"

"Of course." Song Xing Xing flashed an assuring smile. She turned her head in the direction of Song Yi's office on the second floor. "After all, Lu Xun is still in a discussion with my cousin brother. I'll just coax Xiao Jun while waiting for them to end their meeting."

Han Yue Xiu felt more at ease upon hearing her words. She watched as Song Xing Xing played with Xiao Jun for a while before she coaxed him to sleep.

After playing for a while, the boy was finally tired. Xiao Jun saw listened to his aunt humming a song and gradually felt sleepy.

Song Xing Xing placed the baby in his cot and turned around to look for Han Yue Xiu.

The moment she stepped out of the baby's room, Han Yue Xiu was looking at her with worry.

"Sister-in-law, what happened?" Her heartbeat accelerated.

"Nothing much. It's just that, your cousin brother had a few drinks with Lu Xun and now they are both a little tipsy," Han Yue Xiu reported.

A displeased look appeared on her face. She had told Song Yi not to drink so much and the man had invited Lu Xun to drink a lot.

Han Yue Xiu wanted to punish her husband but did not see the use of punishing a drunkard.

Song Xing Xing rushed over to the study to find Lu Xun. However, before she arrived at the door, Lu Xun had already come out of the room.

Lu Xun pushed his glasses with his finger before he looked at his fiance. "It's getting late. Let's go home."

Her eyes narrowed as she looked at Lu Xun. The smell of alcohol was strong as she leaned closer to him. "Are you drunk? How much did you drink?"

"I only drank a little bit."

Song Xing Xing stared into his eyes and finally looked away when she could not see anything wrong with him. She glanced into the room and saw that Song Yi was leaning on his chair with his eyes closed. On the table, there was an empty bottle of strong alcohol.

A brow rose. Song Xing Xing was aware that Song Yi could hold his liquor. Looking at his condition at this time, Song Xing Xing did not doubt that Song Yi had drunk a lot.

Could it be that Song Yi was the only one who had drunk a lot?

After all, Lu Xun did not look as if he had drunk a lot.

"Sister-in-law, you go ahead and look after cousin brother," Song Xing Xing said. She glanced at Lu Xun and spoke, "Lu Xun and I will head back to our place first"

Han Yue Xiu looked at her with worry. "Will you guys be alright?"

Song Xing Xing nodded. "Sister-in-law, rest assured. I can drive."

Han Yue Xiu was about to ask the couple to stay the night at their place when Lu Xun suddenly looked at her.

"Sister-in-law, we'll go back first," Lu Xun spoke with a serious look on his face. "Tomorrow, we both still have to go to work."

Hearing Lu Xun's excuse, Han Yue Xiu knew that she could not hold them at her place.

She looked at Han Yue Xiu and said, "Then, Xing Xing, you drive carefully. Text me when you reach home. At least I won't worry too much."

"Sister-in-law, I will."

"Then, I will see you this weekend to shop," Han Yue Xiu said. She had already promised Song Xing Xing that she will help her to choose a few gifts for her to bring along for Lu Xun's parents.

After exchanging a few more words with Han Yue Xiu, Song Xing Xing finally left with Lu Xun.

Song Xing Xing watched as Lu Xun obediently wore his seatbelt and frowned.

She suddenly recalled that day when Lu Xun has been drinking with her father.

Song Xing Xing did not know what had happened between Lu Xun and her father, but she remember that her father made him promise not to drink too much.

It made her curious about how Lu Xun would react when he got drunk.

Unfortunately for her, this time, it seemed that Lu Xun had not drunk too much to get drunk. She could not see how he would act when he got drunk.

"Are you feeling alright?" Song Xing Xing asked.

Lu Xun gave her a weak nod. "Let's go home first. I'll tell you if I'm feeling uncomfortable."

Song Xing Xing continued to watch him for a while.. Once she was sure that Lu Xun was alright, Song Xing Xing drove off the vehicle and head back to their place.
