You're My Only Star

The next morning, Song Xing Xing woke up with a jolt.

Someone was knocking at her door and the sound almost made her feel as if that person was trying to take down the whole building.

Song Xing Xing opened her eyes in a daze and realized that she was nestled in someone's embrace. The event from midnight resurfaced in her mind and she recalled that Lu Xun was in the same room, sleeping beside her.

She look up and met his gaze.

Lu Xun leaned forward and pecked at her forehead. "Good morning."

Hearing his thick voice made her feel a little shy. Song Xing Xing lowered her head and whispered back, "Good morning."

The knocking on the door continued, causing the couple to jolt.

"Sister? Are you still sleeping?"

The couple stared at each other as they heard Song Wei's voice. They could almost imagine what it would be like if Song Xing Xing opened the door for Song Wei.

It would be chaotic.

Instantly, the couple made a tacit understanding to continue and stay in bed quietly until that boy finally give up.

However, Song Wei continued to knock on her door seemed as if he was not going to give up until he see her.

There were brief seconds of silence before the knocking continued.

This time, the sound seemed to come from Lu Xun's door.

Lu Xun stared at the girl in his embrace helplessly. He was beginning to wonder if he should sneak out through the balcony and return to his room.

Song Xing Xing did not know whether she should laugh or cry in this situation. She had not done anything with Lu Xun last night but was still afraid that her brother would misunderstand.

"Song Wei?"

The couple who were hiding in the room continued to listen to the commotion going on outside the room when they heard Long Fei's voice. They looked into each other, wondering what was going to happen next.

"Mister Long." Song Wei's voice was very respectful. Now that Long Fei was standing in front of him, Song Wei finally realized that he was at Long's residence.

He was too eager to look for his sister that he had been knocking on her door non-stop.

If Long Fei misunderstood that he was trying to run down his house and kick him out of this place, then what was he going to do?

Long Fei shifted his gaze towards the door. "Are you looking for your sister?" He watched as the young boy nodded and smiled. "I think I saw her and Lu Xun walking around the lake a while ago. They should return shortly."

Song Wei was stunned. When he could not find both his sister and Lu Xun, Song Wei's wild mind was telling him that the couple was hiding in the room together. Thinking about what a man and a woman could do made him uncomfortable. This was why he was eager to find his sister.

With Long Fei's explanation, Song Wei exhaled in relief.

He turned around, wanting to head to the lake to see his sister but before he could take another step, Long Fei had already stopped him.

"Song Wei, come with me." Seeing that the young man was watching him with a puzzled look, Long Fei decided to explain. "You drank too much yesterday. I already asked the kitchen to prepare something to help you with a hangover. Go eat first before the food will get cold."

In the room, the couple continued to listen to whatever was going on outside. Once they were sure that everything had turned quiet again, the couple looked at each other and laughed.

Suddenly, hiding in the room from Song Wei felt a little silly.

"Fortunately, your friend, Long Fei is around. I wouldn't know what to do if Song Wei continued to knock on the door."

Lu Xun bobbed her nose with a finger. "Get up. Let's get ready before your brother would return."

Song Xing Xing recalled the way Song Wei had knocked on her door and quickly get off her bed. Before she headed to the bathroom, Lu Xun had already scurried out as if escaping from something. Song Xing Xing thought that the way he walked was a little strange but before she could inquire about it, the man had already left.

She quickly put this matter aside from her mind and went into the bathroom to get ready.

The phone on the table buzzed as she came out of the bathroom. Song Xing Xing glance at her phone and saw the countless birthday wishes from her friends.

Just as she was replying to them one by one, her phone screen changed, indicating an incoming call.

Seeing the name on the screen, Song Xing Xing quickly slid her hand on the screen to answer the call. Her mother's smiling face appeared on her screen.

"Xing Xing, happy birthday."

Her lips curled into a smile. "Mom, thank you."

Ye Ling Feng looked at her daughter and was quick to notice that the surroundings were a little different. "You're still in D Town? Is it fun?"

Previously, Song Xing Xing had called and informed her that she was going to D town for a vacation with her Lu Xun. Ye Ling Feng knew that Lu Xun wanted to celebrate Song Xing Xing's birthday together and naturally had no objection to that.

"Un. The place is very beautiful." Song Xing Xing told her mother a little bit about the place and recalled that she needed to tell her mother an important matter. "Mom, is dad is with you?"

"He's right beside me." Ye Ling Feng turned to her left and frown when she looked at her husband.

A few seconds later, her father's face appeared on the screen.

Song Chen smiled brightly when he saw his daughter. "Xing Xing, happy birthday."

"Dad, thank you."

"I' have prepared a birthday present for you. Come back to Y City soon and take a look at it."

The father and daughter chatted for a while before Song Xing Xing's expression suddenly turned serious.

"Mom, Dad, I have an announcement."

The husband and wife looked at each other. The look on their daughter's face was making their thoughts run wild.

"Guess what happened last night?" Song Xing Xing raised her hand and flashed the ring on her finger. The smile on her face turned wide. The happiness on her face was too evident.

Song Chen stared at the ring with a blank mind. He could not understand why his daughter would want to show off a new ring.

Meanwhile, Ye Ling Feng saw the ring and immediately knew what was going on. "Lu Xun proposed?"

Her eyes turned into a crescent and Song Xing Xing nodded in excitement. "Mom, I said yes."

Song Chen listened to the mother and daughter's conversation and finally understood what was going on. Instantly, his face turned a little dark.

It was only a while ago when that brat came to him and ask his permission. Song Chen did not expect that Lu Xun would act this fast!
