You're My Only Star

Song Xing Xing waited for Lu Xun in his office until Huo Yun Chen's matter was resolved. Hearing that the negative news about her friend had been suppressed, Song Xing Xing let out a breath of relief.

When Lu Xun walked into his office, he found his girlfriend sitting on the sofa while looking at the phone in his hand. He did not have to guess that Song Xing Xing should be looking at the news regarding Huo Yun Chen.

Knowing that she was concerned about Huo Yun Chen made him a little unhappy. However, if he did not pressure his staff and let them solve the matter quickly, then, his girlfriend would continue to worry about the other guy.

Rather than letting her worry about that person, Lu Xun would rather have her girlfriend focus on him.

"You're back." Song Xing Xing flashed him a smile and watched as he walked over to him.

Lu Xun grabbed the phone from his girlfriend, tossed it on the sofa, and leaned over to hug her.. "The matter is already resolved. Stop looking at it already."

Song Xing Xing chuckled upon noticing that a certain someone was sulking. She wrapped her arms around his waist and pressed her lips on the corner of his lips. "You worked hard."

Lu Xun wanted to continue and complain however, the brief kiss had made him a little distracted.

"Are you that worried about him?"

"Don't think too much. Huo Yun Chen is only a good friend. He has been through a lot after his accident a couple of years ago. It's a pity if someone like him was suppressed because of something he did not do."

Lu Xun continued to stare at the girl in his arms without saying anything.

His intense gaze made her heartbeat accelerate. She did not know what he was thinking at this moment. Song Xing Xing bit her lips and did not dare to make too much movement. "Didn't you say that my cousin asked to have dinner together? Are we still going?"

Lu Xun finally released her from his embrace. He pushed the glasses on the bridge of his nose and looked at his wristwatch. "We'll leave in ten minutes. Wait here for a while. I'll have to talk to Bei Yuan first."

"Oh." Song Xing Xing nodded. She closed her eyes as Lu Xun leaned over to peck at her forehead. Then, she watched as he walked out of the office.

It was the weekend but her boyfriend still had to run around here and there.

The car parked in front of the restaurant and Song Xing Xing walked out with Lu Xun.

After giving their name to the server, the two of them were ushered into a private room.

Song Xing Xing had expected that she would be seeing her sister-in-law and her Xiao Jun. But once she walked into the room, she found that her cousin, Song Yi was alone.

She greeted her cousin and asked, "Where is my sister-in-law and Xiao Jun?"

Song Yi shifted his gaze from Lu Xun to his cousin. "Xiao Jun had a little fever. Your sister-in-law would not be at ease to leave him alone with his nanny. She let me come over alone."

After Song Yi was married, he was always with his wife. It was rare to see him without Han Yue Xiu beside him. Her sister-in-law's presence could make the atmosphere lightened up. Therefore, Song Xing Xing had never worried too much to be around Song Yi. But now that Han Yue Xiu and Xiao Jun were not around, Song Xing Xing could not help but feel uneasy.

"Your sister-in-law wanted me to check on you," Song Yi said. "Are you alright?"

A smile bloomed on her face and her heart felt a little warm at her sister-in-law's concern. Han Yue Xiu had always worried about her and would often call or text her whenever she can.

"I'm fine," Song Xing Xing said. "Later, I will give my sister-in-law a call."

Song Yi nodded. "Just don't call her too late."

"Un. I know."

"Have a seat," Song Yi said. He shifted his gaze to Lu Xun and nodded. "President Lu."

As they took their seat around the table, a waiter walked in to deliver the menu and poured some water for them.

When their food arrived, both Lu Xun and Song Yi began to talk about some business matters. Song Xing Xing sat at the side while eating her food quietly.

As time passed by, she was no longer as anxious as she had entered the door. Song Xing Xing was beginning to believe that her cousin merely asked her to this meal because his wife had asked him to.

However, just as they had finished their meal, Lu Xun stood up and left the private room to make a call. The moment Lu Xun walked out, Song Xing Xing could sense that the air around her seemed to be different. Turning around, she found that Song Yi was staring at her with an unreadable expression.

Her heart skipped a beat, wondering what was up with her cousin.

"What is your relationship with that man?"

Song Xing Xin was a little dumbfounded upon hearing Song Yi's question.

"That celebrity that you were having a meal with earlier today," Song Yi explained.

"Huo Yun Chen?"

"En. That's him." Song Yi grabbed the glass in front of him and took a sip of water. "What is your relationship with that man? I thought you were seeing Lu Xun?"

Song Xing Xing almost choked on her saliva upon hearing her cousin's question.

"Cousin, don't worry too much. Huo Yun Chen and I are just friends. You know that I have been playing that mobile game. I met him through the game and we became friends. Other than that, there's nothing else going on between us."

Song Yi lowered his gaze. "That's good. I would not know how I should face Lu Xun if my cousin was seeing another person behind his back."

Her heart burned with anger. "Do you think I'm such a person?"

Song Yi did not answer and continued to take a few more sips from his drink. "You know very well that I don't care about such matter. Whoever you are dating, it is your private matter and I won't interfere. Just that..." Song Yi made a dramatic pause. "When the rumor about that celebrity came out and his location was revealed, the first person that Lu Xun had looked for is me. From the look at it, he is really concerned that your identity might be revealed to the public."

Of course, Song Yi did not tell his cousin about the other matter that Lu Xun had asked for his help. However, the moment he heard his request, Song Yi knew well that this man was really concerned about his cousin.

Her eyes flickered. She did not expect that it was Lu Xun who had looked for Song Yi and had him interfered with the incident.
