You're My Only Star

Song Xing Xing heaved a breath of relief as they were nearing the headquarter.

Perhaps, it was because Assistant Lin has been working with Huo Yun Chen for years. Her driving skills got better and she was able to avoid the reporters quickly.

The car entered the basement. Suddenly, a group of guards came out and blocked the entrance. The reporters who were chasing after them were unable to enter.

After going around the place for a while, Song Xing Xing noticed that Lu Xun was waiting for them near his parking area.

The car finally made a stop and the three of them alighted.

Lu Xun gave his girlfriend a look over and finally turned away once he was sure that she was fine.

"President Lu," Huo Yun Chen greeted.

Lu Xun merely gave him a look over before he finally looked away. "Follow me."

The three of them went after Lu Xun and entered the building through his special door and went straight to his floor.

The group of secretaries was surprised to see that their big boss had appeared with Huo Yun Chen. It was rare for them to run into such a popular celebrity as Huo Yun Chen. The group of secretaries wanted to snap a few photographs but they were aware that this was not something that they should do.

Special Assistant Bei Yuan appeared with a polite smile on his face. He turned to his big boss and spoke, "President Lu, the people from the PR department are waiting in the meeting room."

Lu Xun nodded. "Help me escort Mister Huo and his assistant to the meeting room."

"Yes, President Lu."

Lu Xun turned to Huo Yun Chen and spoke, "Mister Huo, please talk to the PR staff and let them resolve this matter. I have already contacted your manager. He will come over in a while."

Huo Yun Chen flashed an embarrassed smile. "President Lu, sorry for the trouble."

Lu Xun nodded at him. Then, he grabbed Song Xing Xing's hand and pulled her over to a quiet corner. Once he had closed the door behind him, Lu Xun frowned. "Are you alright?"

He had heard that the reporters were chasing them and were worried that Song Xing Xing might injure herself. It was a very dangerous situation. If Huo Yun Chen's assistant did not have the skill, they might get into an accident.

"I'm fine." Song Xing Xing slumped her shoulders. Now that she was surrounded by his scent, Song Xing Xing felt more at ease. She looked up again and bit her lips. "Lu Xun, I'm sorry."

Although Lu Xun might not show it, Song Xing Xing knew well that he did not like much when she interacted too much with Huo Yun Chen. When she told Lu Xun that she would be having a meal with Huo Yun Chen the other day, Lu Xun was quiet for a long time before he finally nodded.

He was unhappy but he decided to trust her that it was only a meal between friends.

A long, heavy breath escaped him. Lu Xun stretched his hand and pulled his girlfriend into his arms. "What are you sorry for? It was not your fault."

For him, he would be relieved as long as Song Xing Xing would be safe.

"I did not think that I would run into something like this when I went to meet Huo Yun Chen."

"Don't think too much about it. I already assigned the best people to help Huo Yun Chen with his matter," Lu Xun said. Knowing that his girlfriend would be worried, Lu Xun decided to explain the situation. "We have already contacted the people who were working with Huo Yun Chen for that advertisement. They will come out and help to clarify the situation. The PR will do their best to clean up ungrounded rumors on him and we will take action against them."

The NEXT Bright Entertainment Agency might still be new with less than five years of its operations. However, it does not mean that they were very weak to let someone bully the artist under their agency.

Song Xing Xing nodded. "Un. I know."

Huo Yun Chen is her friend ad naturally, Song Xing Xing did not want anything to happen to him.

"That's right." Lu Xun pulled away and looked at his girlfriend again. "Your cousin, Song Yi wanted us to meet him for dinner after this."

Song Xing Xing thought about how her cousin had helped and nodded. When she met Song Yi, she will have to thank that man for helping her and Huo Yun Chen.

Huo Yun Chen's discussion with the PR managers ended after an hour.

Fortunately, with Lu Xun's connection, they were able to contact those people who were working with Huo Yun Chen. A surveillance recording from that place was taken out and the proof of Huo Yun Chen's innocence was posted.

Along with them, Lu Xun talked to the staff who were working for that photoshoot. The staff talked about Huo Yun Chen's good attitude during the photo shoot and helped to clear his name that he had a big attitude while working with them.

Moreover, they had addressed the few arguments between Huo Yun Chen and Yan Yi Xie and pointed out that they were minor misunderstandings. If one heard the interview clearly, one would find out that some of the staff had subtly mentioned Yan Yi Xie's unreasonable attitude during the photoshoot.

However, only a few rational people were able o detect that subtle hint.

Of course, by the time these people pointed out this fact, they were attacked by Yan Yi Xie's fans again. The fans were saying that Lu Xun was paying the staff to slender Yan Yi Xie.

Yan Yi Xie has been active in the entertainment industry for a long time and had a lot more fans as compared to Huo Yun Chen. It would be had for Huo Yun Chen's fans to win against Yan Yi Xie's fans.

But because of this, Lu Xun was suddenly pulled into their arguments.

Lu Xun screenshots their post and quickly posted that he will take action against everyone who had slandered him. It was then that the fans realized what they had done something stupid. They wanted to defend their idol but failed to look at the identity of the big boss. But everything was too late and Lu Xun had no plan to let them go. 

By the end of the day, the matter had died down and the topics related to the incident were deleted from the social media. No one was talking about this matter again.

Huo Yun Chen pursed his lips into a thin line as he continued to stare at his phone screen. He could not hide his surprise that this matter had ended very quickly. However, he understood well that President Lu was not helping him without reason. If it was not for Song Xing Xing, then this matter would take longer to be resolved.
