You're My Only Star

On Sunday morning, Song Xing Xing woke up early in the morning and took a cab to Lu Xun's place. After giving out the address, Song Xing Xing took out her phone and logged into her game to kill some time.

As she was walking around the groove and talking to a few NPC to activate some extra quest, Song Xing Xing noticed that the mail icon on the top of her screen was blinking.

She clicked on the mail and was surprised to see the name.

After disappearing for more than a week, General Huo had finally appeared!

Not Your Little Star: I haven't seen you in a while. General Huo, where did you disappear to?

General Huo: Sorry. I had to head overseas to shoot. It was a last-minute thing. I did not have the chance to tell you about it.

Not Your Little Star: Are you going to appear in a new project?

General Huo: I got a new endorsement project. Little Star, next time, you can see me in the Minty advertisement.

Not Your Little Star: Congratulations.

General Huo: Thank you. Little Star, did you miss me?

Song Xing Xing hesitated as she read his message. After a while, she began to type again.

Not Your Little Star: Actually, I have something to discuss with you.

General Huo: This is about the marriage system in the game?

Her fingers hovered on the screen. It took her a while to answer him.

Not Your Little Star: Uh-huh. How did you figure it out?

General Huo: A few days ago, Grasshopper told me about your online confession. According to him, it has become everyone's talk on the server. Such a big matter as that... of course, I will hear about it. 

Suddenly, Song Xing Xing did not know how she should bring up this matter to him.

General Huo: So, President Lu is also playing this game?

Not Your Little Star: Uh-huh. He started playing recently after his nephew introduced this game to him. You should know his nephew as well. He is that little fan with that ID name, Potato.

General Huo: I did not expect that the little boy would be President Lu's nephew.

There was a brief silence between them before Huo Yun Chen typed his message again.

General Huo: Little Star, are you going to tell me that you won't be able to team up with me?

Not Your Little Star: ... Do you mind?

General Huo: I guess I have no choice. After all, President Lu is also my big boss. I don't think I can fight with him. What if he blacklisted me after I steal his girlfriend away?

Song Xing Xing laughed.

She knew that Lu Xun had a huge barrel of vinegar. If she had teamed up with Huo Yun Chen, she might make him unhappy and the two of them might even start to fight.

It might seem as if this was a small matter but Song Xing Xing regarded her relationship with Lu Xun as very important. She did not want to ruin their relationship because of a game.

Not Your Little Star: General Huo, I'm sorry.

General Huo: It's fine. I know that this would happen the moment Grasshopper mentioned that confession to me. However... Little Star, you can't get away easily.

Not Your Little Star: What do you want me to do? If it's something that I can do, then I will do my best.

General Huo: Nothing too hard. Little Star, I just wanted you to have a meal with me. Is that alright?

Not Your Little Star: General Huo, you always asked me to accompany you for a meal. Don't tell me that you're secretly a foodie?

General Huo: Haha. Maybe I am?

The two of them chatted for a while until the cab finally arrived at Lu Xun's place. When she alighted from the car, Song Xing Xing saw that her boyfriend was already waiting for her at the gate.

At this time, he was wearing a dark blue shirt and khaki shorts, giving him a laidback appearance.

Her eyes lit up and Song Xing Xing rushed over to him. "Why are you here? Have you waited long?"

"I calculated your arrival time and thought that you should be arriving around this time." Lu Xun stretched his hand to her. "Come on. Auntie Wei heard that you would be coming today and had prepared a lot of food for you."

Song Xing Xing followed his lead and finally saw that he was leading her to a scooter bike which was parked next to the guard's house.

"It will take a while for us to walk. It's better if we take a ride." Lu Xun patted at the seat of his scooter. "Hop on."

Song Xing Xing gave the scooter a look over and noticed that this scooter bike seemed a little old. "Why do you this? It doesn't seem as if this is something that belongs to you."

As compared to his Maserati, Song Xing Xing thought that this scooter bike was a little humble. 

Lu Xun smiled. "Well, it's mine. This is the first scooter that I bought with my first paycheck. It might seem a little old, but it is still functional. I'm having a hard time parting with it. When I move over, I decided to bring along this scooter to Capital City." He sat down and turned to his girlfriend, motioning her to sit behind him.

After a brief hesitation, Song Xing Xing slid onto the scooter and gripped his shirt tightly.

Lu Xun laughed. He pulled her hands and wrapped them around his waist. "Hold on tight. Just like this."

Before she was able to say a word, the scooter had already moved forward. Song Xing Xing yelped. Her body jerked forward and Song Xing Xing subconsciously held his body tighter. 

Growing up, she had never ridden a scooter or a motorcycle. Therefore, she was a little worried that she might fall when the vehicle had suddenly moved forward.

The scooter bike stopped immediately. 

Lu Xun was about to turn around when he began to notice that Song Xing Xing had her face and body plastered to his back with no space between them.

His throat rolled. "Are you alright?"

Song Xing Xing opened her eyes slowly and realized that they had not left the guard's house. "Sorry."

"Are you scared? Is this your first time riding a bike?"

Her face turned a little red. "Un."

Lu Xun chuckled. He patted at her hand and spoke. "Don't be afraid. I'm here. Xing Xing, I won't let something bad happen to you."

Song Xing Xing took a few deep breaths to calm down. Then, she loosened her grip around his waist and eased up. "Alright. I trust you."
