You're My Only Star

The moment the elder man spoke, Lu Xun's expression turned a shade darker. He did not seem too pleased to see them. However, he still nodded to greet them. "Mr. Shi, Madam Shi."

Song Xing Xing glanced at the couple and immediately guessed their identity. The woman's face... was very similar to Lu Xun's ex-girlfriend.

"Are you having lunch here as well?" Mr. Shi asked.

"Mhm..." Lu Xun nodded.

"I didn't expect that I would run into you here. Lu Xun, I still wanted to apologize to you."

Lu Xun held his girlfriend's hand tighter and spoke again, "Mr. Shi, it's getting late. I won't stay to chat with you."

The elder man had an embarrassed look on his face. "It was clear that the man had no intention of listening to him."

"Grandpa..." A little boy suddenly appeared beside Mr. Shi. He stared at Lu Xun for a while before he hide behind his grandfather. Then, he continued to peek at Lu Xun while hiding.

Song Xing Xing's gaze followed the direction of the voice and saw the boy as well. Looking at the way the boy was staring at Lu Xun gave her a strange feeling.

Her thoughts were running wild and it made her mood grew sour.

Lu Xun was unaware of what was going on. He merely glanced at the little boy before he left with his girlfriend.

Once they were away from the restaurant, Song Xing Xing gave a soft tug at her boyfriend's sleeve. "Lu Xun, slow down."

Hearing her voice, Lu Xun finally stopped and turned around. "I'm sorry."

"Who are those people? Someone you knew?" Song Xing Xing decided to pretend that she did not know anything.

Lu Xun heaved a breath. "En. They are Shi An Na's parents. After they retired, I heard that they moved to Y City. I did not think that I would run into them here."

It was at this time that Song Xing Xing remember that the first time she ran into Shi An Na, it was in Y City as well.

"Then... that little boy?"

"He should be Shi An Na's son from her previous marriage. I heard from Yu Han that she had brought along her son when she returned to the country. It should be that kid," Lu Xun said. It seemed that Shi An Na had let her parents look after her son while she stayed in Capital City.

Seeing the strange look on his girlfriend's face, Lu Xun could guess what was going on in her mind. Suddenly, he did not know whether he should laugh or cry. He leaned forward until they were staring face to face and flashed her a smile. "Song Xing Xing, Just what kind of strange thought do you have in your mind?"

Song Xing Xing blinked and looked back with an adorable look on her face. "Me? What did I do? I did not think of anything."

His lips curled into a teasing smile. "Song Xing Xing, it couldn't be that you're thinking that I have a child outside, right?"

"I didn't." Even if the thought might have crossed her mind, Song Xing Xing was not going to admit them. She could only blame herself for watching too much drama. "You have told me everything about your past relationship. And I trust you."

Lu Xun stretched his hand and patted her head. It seemed that his girlfriend can be a little silly.

"Trusting me blindly like this... Song Xing Xing, are you not afraid that I will fool you?"

Song Xing Xing clicked her tongue. "You must be a fool if you want to try to fool me."

Lu Xun pondered over it and knew that it was true. If he does something that would wrong with this girl, there will be a lot of people going after him. At that time, not even his best friend, Zhang Yu Han would take his side.

Not that he was planning to do anything of that such.

Taking a deep breath, Lu Xun held her hand and kissed her on her forehead. "Come on, let me take you home."

"Oh." Song Xing Xing lowered her head, feeling slightly unwilling upon knowing that she will have to part with him.

Earlier, he had agreed to go for a walk. But after running into the couple, Song Xing Xing guessed that her boyfriend should no longer be in the mood. Each time that he ran into his ex-girlfriend, Lu Xun would usually be in such a mood.

Lu Xun had broken up with Shi An Na for years but it seemed that the woman still had a big influence in his life. As the thought came to her mind, Song Xing Xing felt a little sour. However, she cannot say anything regarding this matter.

After listening to Lu Xun retelling her about their past, Song Xing Xing knew how badly Lu Xun had hurt from the breakup. It might take him a long time to completely heal from it. As the girlfriend, she had decided that she will stay by his side and be his little sunshine until he forget such an unhappy event.

The two of them boarded the car. Following the direction that her girlfriend had given him, the car soon arrived in front of the resident.

Lu Xun looked out the window and stared at the big house in front of him. As compared to his house in Capital City, this place is definitely bigger. He could already imagine the large garden in the backyard.

"We're here," Lu Xun spoke after a brief silence between them.

"Will you be alright to head to the hotel alone?"

"Are you worried that I might lose my way?"

Song Xing Xing pouted. "It's dark outside and you are not familiar with the road here. Of course, I'm a little worried."

"Then, once I get to the hotel, I will give you a call, alright?"

Song Xing Xing nodded. "Oh." She turned to alight from the car and stopped when Lu Xun tugged at her arms. Before she could ask him what was going on, the man leaned over and kissed her on the lips. A soft sigh escaped her. Her hand rested n his cheek as she reciprocate his kisses

After a while, Lu Xun pulled away and pecked at her forehead. "Go inside. Remember to tell me what your parents had decided."

Thinking about letting her boyfriend meet with her parents turned up her mood and Song Xing Xing had pushed the meeting with Shi An Na's relative in the back of her mind.

She alighted the vehicle and walked into the house. The moment she stepped into the living room, the light suddenly lit up brightly.

Her eyes narrowed as she tried to adjust the lighting. When she finally get a clear look, Song Xing Xing found that a figure had suddenly emerged. It was her father and he was standing in front of her with a stern look on his face.

Her heart shook and Song Xing Xing suddenly felt very afraid.
