You're My Only Star

After touching up her makeup a little bit, the couple left the hotel together. The couple held hands as they headed to the underground parking lot together.

Song Xing Xing sat in the passenger's seat and looked at her boyfriend. "Did you rent this car?"

Lu Xun drove out of the parking lot and answered, "No. This is Yu Han's. Earlier, he came over to pick me up from the airport and lend me one of his cars. It's convenient for me to move around."

"Why didn't you tell me that you're coming to Y City? I could pick you up from the airport as well."

"Didn't you say that you have to attend your friend's engagement party?" Lu Xun glanced at her. "I didn't want to rush you. It's better to tell you that I have arrived at the hotel."

"How long are you planning to stay in Y City?"

"I'll head back to Capital City the same day as you."

Thinking that the two of them will board the same flight together and head back to Capital City made her a little excited.

The vehicle pulled over at the parking area.

As a native of Y City, Song Xing Xing decided to introduce Lu Xun to her favorite place.

They were still hiding from the reporters, therefore, Song Xing Xing decided to dine at one of the restaurants under the GDB Group. Although the F&B company had several restaurants all over the major cities in the country, this particular restaurant is Song Xing Xing's favorite.

They alighted the car together and walked over to the restaurant. The waiter greeted them at the door and immediately recognized Song Xing Xing. The couple was ushered into the restaurant and seated at her usual spot.

Lu Xun looked at the menu and was surprised to see that this was not the seafood restaurant that his girlfriend loved very much.

"Just order anything that you like. I can assure you that the food at this restaurant is very good," Song Xing Xing said. "This time it would be my treat."

Lu Xun chuckled. "Alright. It's a rare chance for my girlfriend to treat me. It seemed that I have to eat very well." He glanced at the menu again and asked, "But is this fine? It seemed that this place's seafood dishes were not as popular as the other dishes."

Song Xing Xing narrowed her eyes and pouted slightly. "What are you talking about? Seafood is not the only dish that I like. I'm fine with everything else as well."

She wanted him to enjoy the food and decided to choose a restaurant they would both enjoy. If she took him to another seafood restaurant again, someone was going to spend his time peeling the shrimp skin instead of eating properly.

Lu Xun stretched his hand and touched her head. The two of them looked at the menu together and chose a few dishes together. The server left with their order and the couple chatted about this and that while waiting for their food to arrive.

The meal ended after a while. Song Xing Xing looked at her empty plate and heaved a sigh.

It seemed that after having this meal together, she will have to head home. She was still looking forward to spending her time together with her boyfriend. After all, it was not easy for them to have a date in Y City.

However, if she even think of not going home, then her parents would be upset.

Just now, Song Xing Xing had told her brother that she was heading out to meet her boyfriend. Her brother should have told their parents where she was going.

If she did not return home, her parents would definitely have a bad impression on her boyfriend. Then, it would be hard for her to convince them that she was dating Lu Xun and the man is perfect for her despite their age difference.

As the thought came to her mind, Song Xing Xing looked at Lu Xun for a long time. She liked him so much that she had the urge to introduce him to her family. Song Xing Xing had a feeling that Lu Xun and her mother would get along really well.

She leaned forward and asked, "Since you are here, what do you think about meeting my parents?"

Lu Xun looked back at her with a faint smile on his face. However, the glint in his eyes told her that he was thrilled with that idea. After his girlfriend had informed her family on their dating news Lu Xun thought that the next thing he should do is to meet her parents.

By now, her family should have known about his existence. Lu Xun could guess that one of the things that would make her parents worry would be their age differences.

Song Xing Xing is someone from an influential family in Y City. She came from a family with such a long history. Someone like her should not be lacking in suitors. Lu Xun might have a lot of money. His condition was still not good enough to be someone like Song Xing Xing. If she wanted to, Song Xing Xing could date a man who is much better than he is.

However, instead of meeting someone her age, Song Xing Xing had chosen to be with him. He have to work hard and tell her family that he really loved their daughter and that he would be good enough for her.

"You want me to meet your parents?" Lu Xun asked.

"You didn't want to?" Song Xing Xing asked back.

Lu Xun chuckled. "Of course I wanted to. Just that... didn't you tell me that you wanted to arrange a meeting with your parents next month? Would they agree to a sudden meeting like this?"

Song Xing Xing thought over his words for a while and nodded, "Then, I will ask them first and let you know later."

After arguing for a while, Song Xing Xing was finally able to snatch away the bill away from him and paid for their meals.

"Are you full? Do you want to go for a walk?" Song Xing Xing asked as they walked to leave the place.

"I'll go wherever that you wanted to take me."

Song Xing Xing had a silly smile on her face. "I know a few good places where we can have a walk."

Just as they walked out of the restaurant, the couple ran into a middle-aged couple who happen to be leaving as well.

Song Xing Xing would not think much about this accidental encounter. However, seeing how her boyfriend had halted his step to look at the couple made her feel that they should be someone he knew.

She tilted her head to one side and gave Lu Xun a puzzled look.

Song Xing Xing watched as the middle-aged couple walked closer and smiled.. "Lu Xun."
