You're My Only Star

Once Song Xing Xing had calmed down, Lu Xun pulled her back to the sofa and let her sit down. Seeing that she was still not willing to talk, he then took out the food that Assistant Bei Yuan had brought for them. 

He picked up spring rolls and turned to her. Once the scent of food get closer to her mouth, Song Xing Xing intuitively opened her mouth and took a bite. As she looked up, Lu Xun was looking at her with a smile on his face.

Her movement halted, realizing that she had been lured by food.

Initially, Song Xing Xing wanted to continue and ignore her boyfriend. But the moment she could smell the food, she was tempted and had opened her mouth. As she chewed the food in her mouth, Song Xing Xing scolded herself that she was too weak against this attack.

Lu Xun smiled and was wise enough not to speak a word and continued to feed her with food. Seeing that she had opened her mouth each time he fed her with food, Lu Xun guessed that she was no longer as embarrassed.

"I only paid for your game credits and that made you very happy?" Lu Xun asked after some time.

Song Xing Xing nodded. She took out her phone again and logged into the game. "Because you helped me to purchase some game credits, it had helped me to increase my VIP level." She showed him the screen. "Look at this. I even got this costume because I have reached a certain level. Isn't it pretty?"

His gaze stopped at her ID name which was on the top of the screen. Lu Xun had not thought that it would be this easy for her to show him the game screen.

What's the use of him sneaking around to peek at her screen for the past few days?

If he had offered to pay for some credits, he would find out that his girlfriend is 'Not Your Little Star' much earlier. 

Looking at her ID name again made him a little depressed. However, when he saw the look on her face, showing off to him the new costume that she had received, Lu Xun quickly soothed himself and smiled. "It's pretty. Is this the character you're playing?"

"Un. I'm a healer." Song Xing Xing looked at her character that stood in the middle of the swamp and tapped her fingers on the screen. Swiftly, the characters spun around with blue winds surrounding her. A while later, her character jumped up high and shot some arrows down to the swamp. "Isn't this is cool?"

"Mhm…" Lu Xun nodded again. "It looks really cool."

Song Xing Xing watched Lu Xun with her eyes wide. "Why don't you register an account too? Then, we can play together?"

Lu Xun was drinking some water and started to cough when he heard her suggestion. 

He really wanted to play the game together but he was too embarrassed to tell her that he has been playing 'Legends of the Sky' for a few months. Lu Xun was curious to know her reaction upon knowing that he is Player 99, but he was afraid that she might laugh at him.

"Let me help you to install the game and register an account for you. I'll help you to choose your character and class." Song Xing Xing stretched her hand as she asked him for his phone.

Once he recalled that he had installed the game on his phone, Lu Xun knew that he have to make an excuse.

If he tell her that he was not interested in playing games, would she get disappointed?

Lu Xun let out a cough and lowered his gaze to the food on the table, "Actually, I have installed that game in my phone."

Song Xing Xing looked at him strangely before she finally understood what he meant. "You have been playing 'Legend of the Sky'?" She held his arms and stared at him with her bright eyes. "Why didn't you mention this to me?"

"I'm not good at it. Previously, it was my nephew who had helped me to install the game." Lu Xun decided to disclose the account that Jia Xuan had helped him install. "Afterward, I didn't play much."

"Let me look at it." Song Xing Xing was just too excited that she had found out that they might share the same interest.

For someone who had been playing the game from the very beginning, she loved it when she could find another person who might share the same love on the game.

Seeing the look on her face, Lu Xun did not have the heart to turn her down. "Let me see if I can still remember my log-in details." Lu Xun let out a breath when his girlfriend turned to focus on the food on the table. Then, he clicked on the game, logged out from the 'Player 99' account, and logged in to the account that he had registered with his nephew.

The music from the game filled the room. Lu Xun looked at his pathetic character with a low level and sighed. To compare his character to Player 99 character… it was like heaven and earth.

Song Xing Xing leaned forward when she heard the music. "So, you're a gunslinger."

"Mhm… My nephew is also a shooter. So, he picked this character for me so that it would be easier for him to teach me."

"Perhaps, I've met your nephew previously in the game." Song Xing Xing flashed a mysterious smile. "What's his ID?"

"I think he used the name, 'Potato'. But he rarely got the chance to go online. His mother was restricting his time to play games."

Song Xing Xing laughed. "Let me add you as my friend." 

Lu Xun watched as she tapped her fingers on her mobile and soon, the friend request notification appeared on his screen. 

"Quickly accept my friend request."

"Alright." With her instruction, Lu Xun finally added her as his friend. He stared at his friend list for a long time and sighed. Just like this, he had become friends with his girlfriend in this game.

He got what he wished for but Lu Xun did not know whether he should be happy or not. After all, he did spend a lot of money to purchase Player 99's account.

Suddenly, his screen was filled with flowers. 

"I'm sending you some flowers to increase our friendliness level. When you collect them, you can send me some flowers too."

"Alright.

"Your level is pretty low. Next time, you can team up with me and I'll help you to defeat some monsters." Song Xing Xing looked up again as another thought came to her mind. "That's right, you still have another meeting after this right? How about you give me your phone? I'll help you to play and level up while you're in meetings."

Lu Xun stretched his arms to touch her cheek. "Are you going to wait for me until me I'm done?"

"Well, I don't mind.. Your office is pretty comfortable to hang around."
