You're My Only Star

When Lu Xun arrived to pick up Song Xing Xing, Song Yi has not returned home. This was also her intention as she did not want the two men to meet.

Han Yue Xiu gave Lu Xun a look over before she invited the man into the house. 

The moment Xiao Jun saw Lu Xun, the little boy kept staring at him for a long time, wondering what was this man doing in his territory. 

The little boy sensed that his auntie was about to leave and started to cry. Xiao Jun gripped his auntie's blouse tightly as if he did not want to let her go. Even when Han Yue Xiu tried to pry her son's hand away, Xiao Jun continued to cry. His face was full of tears and his face reddened.

It took Song Xing Xing a while before she could coax the little boy to sleep.

Fortunately, they still managed to leave before Song Yi got home.

Once the car leave the residence, Song Xing Xing finally heaved a breath of relief. 

"Are you sure you would be able to stay at home by yourself?" 

"It's fine. You have seen it yourself. I can still walk. As long as I'm careful, I'll be alright."

"Last time, you forgot about your injured ankle."

Song Xing Xing narrowed her eyes dangerously at him. Why was he reminding her about this matter?

Lu Xun seemed to notice the way his girlfriend was looking at him and quickly realized that he had made a mistake. Even if it was a fact that she had forgotten about her injury, he should not have mentioned this matter to her.

He let out a dry cough and spoke, "I'm just worried about you." His mind reeled to find something to change the subject. "What do you want to eat? Let's get something to eat before I send you back home."

"No. Don't tempt me with food. These past few days, my sister-in-law has been feeding me well." Song Xing Xing poked at her waist and said, "I'm gaining weight."

Lu Xun glanced at the girl beside her and thought that she did not look any different than the last time he saw her.

However, this also made him a little disappointed. He had not seen her for a few days and wanted to spend to take her on a dinner date. In the end, he listened to her and sent her back to her place.

As they were nearing her apartment, Song Xing Xing asked Lu Xun to stop by the supermarket near her place. After leaving her house for a few days, she would need to restock the food in her refrigerator.

Lu Xun put on a face mask and came out to accompany his girlfriend to shop for groceries.

The corner of his lips started to twitch as he pushed the trolley around the vegetables and meat area. 

Someone had just said that she had gained weight and needed to control her diet. However, looking at the ingredients in the trolley, it was full of meat, vegetables, and a few seafood items. It seemed as if Song Xing Xing was planning to cook for a small party.

Her ankle was still a little swollen but she was walking around as if she was not injured at all. Fortunately, she could still use the trolley to support her body and walk.

Although Lu Xun was worried, he saw the happy look on her face and decided not to say anything.

Song Xing Xing picked up a packet of fat chicken wings and turned to look at her boyfriend. "What do you want to eat? I can cook something for you."

Her eyes lit up as she spoke, making him a little bedazzled. "You're planning to cook?"

"Un. Un. The ingredients look fresh. It would be a waste not to make something delicious out of it."

"Just make anything you're good at. I'm not picky about food."

Song Xing Xing placed the chicken wing into the trolley and started to plan what she wanted to cook for dinner. 

The two of them walked around the supermarket and bought a lot of things. At the counter, Lu Xun paid for the items and pushed the trolley back to his car.

Lu Xun parked his car at his usual spot and helped her to carry her luggage as well as the groceries into her house.

Once she get inside her house, Song Xing Xing started to clean up her apartment. She watched as Lu Xun put the groceries into the kitchen and suddenly recalled something.

"The other day, what did you and my cousin talk about?" Song Xing Xing asked. "I asked my cousin but he would not say a thing."

Lu Xun turned around when he heard her question. After pondering for a while, Lu Xun continued to organize the groceries they bought. "Nothing much. Just a little this and that."

Her eyes narrowed. This answer only made her grew curious. Song Xing Xing walked over to him and asked again, "What this and that?"

"He just wanted to know whether we are really seeing each othe.,"

Song Xing Xing found that his answer was unreliable. If that was all that Song Yi wanted to know, he would not have asked her to stay in her room, right?

Seeing that the man would not answer her, Song Xing Xing started to poke at his waist. "You're not going to tell me?"

Her touch felt a little ticklish. Lu Xun turned around and grabbed the misbehaved paw. "What are you worried about?" 

"Since this matter is about me, then don't I deserve to know?" Song Xing Xing pouted when he only replied to her with a smile. She flashed him a cute look on her face and continued to poke at his waist and chest using her free hand. "Tell me, alright?

Before she could continue to urge him, Lu Xun had quickly grabbed her other hand and pulled her body closer. Then, he leaned closer and pressed their lips into a soft kiss. He released a hand and ran his fingers in her hair, preventing her from moving back as he parted her lips.

Her eyes widened at the unexpected kiss.

He released her only for a few seconds to allow her to take a breath. Then, he leaned in again and continued to kiss her lips.

Feeling his lips softly massaging hers, Song Xing Xing closed her eyes and responded to his kiss. Her hand rested on his chest before it slid upward to his shoulder.

Once she was breathless from his kiss, Lu Xun finally pulled away. He rubbed his thumb against her reddened lips and stared at her half-closed eyes. His throat rolled upon seeing this beautiful scene. "Song Xing Xing, next time, don't poke around carelessly, alright?"
