You're My Only Star

Song Xing Xing was playing with Xiao Jun when she noticed the strange way that her sister-in-law was looking at her. After a few minutes, she could no longer bear with the curiosity and asked, "Sister-in-law, why are you looking at me like that? Is there something on my face?"

Earlier, she was helping to feed Xiao Jun some pureed food. Thinking that she had accidentally dirtied her face, Song Xing Xing touched her cheek but could not find anything.

"Xing Xing, how is your ankle?"

Song Xing Xing glanced at her ankle and saw that the black and bluish bruise had receded. As she moved around, her ankle was not as painful as it was a few days ago. "It doesn't hurt as much. I can walk around just fine."

When she looked up again, her sister-in-law was still looking at her strangely. "Sister-in-law, did you have something to say?"

Taking this as her hint to speak, Han Yue Xiu walked over and spoke in a low voice. "I heard from your cousin that you are in a relationship."

The corner of her lips started to twitch. Previously, someone had told her that he was going to keep this a secret. However, it has only been a few days but her sister-in-law had already found out about this matter. That traitor!

Song Xing Xing sighed.

Forget it. She should have known that Song Yi would not be able to keep a secret from his wife. Her cousin doted on his wife so much that he would tell her everything.

Seeing that Song Xing Xing did not speak, Han Yue Xiu decided to probe further. "Last time, you have told me that you liked someone. That person is President Lu Xun?"

Song Xing Xing had the urge to strangle her cousin to death. Not only did Song Yi told his wife that she was in a relationship. He also revealed the identity of that man!

"Hmm…" Her face was burning and Song Xing Xing did not dare to look up.

Han Yue Xiu noticed her reddened face and started to smile. "I really did not expect that the two of you would be together. Previously, when your cousin had mentioned this matter to me, I was shocked."

Of course, Han Yue Xiu would still remember the first time that she had seen the two of them together. It was at the police station and Lu Xun had accused Song Xing Xing of stalking some celebrities. 

If it was not for Song Yi's interference, Song Xing Xing might have to spend a night at the police station.

Han Yue Xiu recalled their past and chuckled. 

"Did you get along with him well?"

Song Xing Xing nodded. "He's been good to me so far."

"That's good." Han Yue Xiu breathed in relief. 

"Then, the last time that Lu Xun appeared at the restaurant during my birthday... Were you together with him?"

"No. At that time, we still haven't got together," Song Xing Xing said.  "Sister-in-law, you definitely cannot tell anyone else about this. We had only got together recently. If my mom knows, then she would come to Capital City and meet Lu Xun."

"Don't worry. I won't say a word." Han Yue Xiu looked at her son and spoke. "Xiao Jun, we'll keep this a secret for Auntie Xing Xing, alright."

The little boy stared at her mother excitedly and started to make babies sound.

Han Yue Xiu looked at Song Xing Xing again. "Since your cousin is not around, let's talk about this a little bit. I heard that Lu Xun is a difficult person to get along with, especially with women. What is it that makes you like him?"

Song Xing Xing was someone from the Song family. Of course, she would have met a lot of good and capable men. They were all good-looking and successful.

However, Lu Xun was slightly older than her. Although Han Yue Xiu did not think that it was a problem for them to date, she was still curious.

Song Xing Xing froze. She did not expect to be asked about this. This question made her grew shy.

"I… don't know how to explain this well." Actually, Song Xing Xing did not know what was it that made her attracted to Lu Xun. "Just that, after spending time with him, I thought that being around him was not so bad. And then, I grew to like him more."

Han Yue Xiu looked at Song Xing Xing and had the urge to pinch her cheek. One look at her, Han Yue Xiu could see that Song Xing Xing was very much in love. A girl in love is definitely the cutest.

Since Song Xing Xing liked him, Han Yue Xiu was going to give her support.

Song Xing Xing returned to her room as it was Xiao Jun's nap time. She thought about her conversation with Han Yue Xiu earlier and decided to disturb the person she was missing.

The phone call connected in just seconds.

"Xing Xing?" His voice sounded magnetic through the phone, making her heartbeat accelerated.

"Are you busy?" 

"Not really."

Assistant Bei Yuan who was still waiting for his boss to sign a document felt the corner of his mouth started to twitch. Hearing the sweet tone that his boss was using, Bei Yuan quickly figured out who was that person that his boss was talking to.

With a sigh, Bei Yuan quickly leave his boss's office lest he would overhear something that he should not.

"How is your ankle? Is it getting better now?"

"Un. I can walk a little slowly. Since my ankle is getting better, I'm planning to return home tonight." 

Lu Xun frowned upon hearing her idea. "Is it alright? Why don't you rest a while longer at your cousin's place until your ankle is fully healed?"

"Although my cousin did not mind it, it is still a little uncomfortable to live with the couple. I would feel better living in my own place."

Each time that she preoccupied her sister-in-law's attention, Song Yi would look at her as if she owed him millions. 

"Anyway, I have talked to my sister-in-law. They will send me back to my place after my cousin returned from work," Song Xing Xing said. "I'll go and pick up Mr. Fluffball on the weekend."

"Then, how about I go and pick you up from your cousin's place?" Lu Xun suggested. 

"It's alright." Song Xing Xing thought of Lu Xun meeting her cousin again and didn't want them to meet again so quickly.

"But Xing Xing, I miss you. I haven't seen you for a few days. Let me go and pick you up alright?"

Song Xing Xing was persuaded just by listening to his voice and quickly agreed.
