Chapter 620 Orc Tower
When the two bolts of crimson lightning shot high into the air, Yvonne and Rory were not the only ones, who accelerated their momentum.
Sven, Kathrine, and Victoria couldn't help but feel a sudden pressure weighing down on them as well.
Ben, Katja, and Nicolas may not be able to tell the hidden meaning behind the bolts of crimson lightning, however, that didn't mean they were unable to comprehend that there was more than one could see at the first glance.
"Great, Dilan killed most of the Blood Orc Shamans!" Ben exclaimed loudly. He never doubted that Dilan wouldn't make it, not after he saw how Dilan had been able to reattach himself to his body after it had been split in half, and even less when recalling the terrifying killing intent Dilan had focused on him.
Ben began to shake at the mere thought of the killing intent. He couldn't help himself at that time and since then he began to doubt the actual rank of the seemingly undying Ascender.
Katja, who was several hundred meters away from the battlefield, standing next to Sven on top of the largest Inn in the surrounding area, knocked an arrow smoothly on the thin bowstring before she pulled it backward. The Archeress aimed for a quarter of a second and released the arrow before knocking a new arrow on the bowstring.
"It is great, but isn't he way too fast? Don't you think that he might have worked a little sloppy? No offense, by the way," Katja asked before she pulled the bowstring back again.
She released her second arrow and repeated the same process over and over again using the sheer infinite amount of arrows at her disposal.
"Dilan doesn't take offense about something like that, and he doesn't work sloppy. If he missed a few Blood Orc Shamans that can only mean they were not near him!" Sven declared and he sighed deeply.
"Why are you sighing? And why the hell does it look like Victoria and Kathrine keep increasing their pace? How the hell can they be newly advanced Demi Gods?? They fight almost as desperate as if something terrifying is about to happen?!" Katja complained, distracted by the wandering shadow that attracts her whenever she took aim at an opponent.
Victoria targeted her opponents using a silent but deadly tactic. She appeared behind a bunch of opponents, kills them, and disappears after she finished her job.
As for Katja, she can shoot rapidly but she usually doesn't waste her mana. She can shoot more than 60 arrows in a minute, with each of her arrows killing one opponent.
Being able to kill 60 fourth Tier monsters, which are in possession of a powerful sub-bloodline, was not something one could take lightly.
Unfortunately, Victoria made things more difficult for Katja because the Archeress didn't want to attack her comrades.
It was not like Kathrine made things better by fighting in a wild and savage manner as if she was a frenzy beast that had been caged and not fed for several years. She looked like a starving lightning wolf, with the sole difference that her slaughtering was more terrifying, by leaps and bounds!
"Oh, they? Well, they can tell where Dilan is going. Our Plan A failed because it looked like the remaining Blood Orc Shamans were with the Apostles, probably to report to them about the crow Dilan killed earlier," Sven made it sound nonchalant but Katja and even Nicolas looked at the strategist for a moment, their eyes filled with confusion.
Nicolas used his wind magic to support Ben in the fight, accelerating his movement speed. At the same time, he had focused on the creation of typhoons to throw dozens of Blood Orc Champions through the air.
Yet, everything came to a stillstand when he and Katja realized the meaning behind Sven's words.
"So you mean…he is fighting against the Apostles and a bunch of Blood Orc Shamans with spatial affinity at the same time?" Nicolas asked, raising his voice for the first time. He was not angry but simply astonished, not understanding how everyone could keep their calm when Dilan was about to face a dozen Demi Gods.
"Here they are, our guests," Sven suddenly added, and everyone, including Victori and Kathrine, tensed up.
They expected Dilan to appear with a dozen Orc Apostles by his side.
However, contrary to their expectations there were only Williams, Felicia, Rory, Yvonne, and Siegfried appeared at their battlefield nearly at the same time.
"Looks like the lot of us finished our job…well, seems like Williams and Felicia failed a little bit…" Sven said rather lightly which caused Felicia's cheeks to turn red before she couldn't help herself anymore as she burst out what was on her mind.
"What the hell is Dilan doing?!? He destroyed my camouflage with that weird-ass terrifying speed and he charged toward the Orc Tower while sending us away!! How the hell did you guys survive with a jerk like him? He probably doesn't even know how the word plan is written!!"
Felicia's face turned tomato red and she started to breathe loud and heavily. Everyone looked at her, but nobody really knew what to answer.
Only when Williams sighed out loud did the attention turn away from Felicia and toward Williams.
"There were three Blood Orc Shamans in the tower and they broke through my illusion within half a minute. I don't know why the Orc Apostles didn't attack and kill me immediately but it looks like they expected Dilan to come…or they waited for all of us to come? I actually don't know what is on these monsters' minds but they saw through my illusion and still didn't act…not yet, at least!" Williams sighed deeply as he revealed what was going on, and it was just a moment later that a thunderous explosion occurred at the center of the settlement.
A highly destructive shockwave that destroyed everything in its way swept all over the settlement, tearing apart the buildings that obstructed it before they impacted the ten Demi Gods and the lightning-clad Siegfried.
Several seconds passed until they could see something again as debris and rubble obstructed their sight.
Yet, what was unfolded in front of them was terrific.
The tower collapsed…
