Book 3: Chapter 4 (7/8)
Seeing how angry Kimaris was, Kain curiously wanted to know more about him. Kain asked, I still dont know much about you and Ursula. Would you tell me more about how y'all fell in love?
Kimaris thought for a few seconds, nodded his head, and said, Ever since I died in my previous life, I became a demon in the Thirteen Gate and fought my way up to the top. Over eight hundred thousand years ago, I was chosen to be the Demon Lord of the Thirteenth Gate after the other Demon Lord advanced into God-tier. I was very happy since ruling the Thirteenth Gate was a dream come true to any demon. That was until I met Ursula, who was visiting the Hell Realm at that time because of a mission entrusted to her by her Emperor.
You told me that you and Ursula fell in love and because of that, a Devil killed her to punish you. Because of your authority and ability as the Demon Lord of the Thirteenth Gate, you managed to convert Ursula into your Soul Weapon.
Yes. Do you know why Ursula and I fell in love despite knowing its against the rules in Hell Realm?
I also fell in love with a girl when my identity as a Blood Mage was still a secret in Toria Continents. I was supposed to kill her to secure my identity but I chose to spare her and to run away. I could understand how you feel. Love can blind your judgment. That was why you didnt care about the rules.
Not quite correct in my case. Kain, do you know who I was in my previous life?
A warrior?
Yes. But I was not just a warrior. I was an Army Lieutenant in the Thoen Kingdom of Lochwind Continents.
Lochwind Continents, is it a planet under Watcher Tykans control?
Correct. Do you know who Ursula was?
Hmm... I guess y'all already knew each other when you were still alive huh. Let me guess, Ursula was someone important in that Thoen Kingdom?
No, Ursula was my enemy. She was a Master Earth Mage of the Elaysien Empire.
Huh. How did you guys fall in love then?
This went way back millions of years ago when we were still young. The Thoen Kingdom used to be under the Elaysien Empires control. Ursula and I met in Erioak, the capital city of the Elaysien Empire. Before we met, Ursula was a magic caster in training in the Mages Academy of Erioak while I was a Sergeant of the West Army of Thoen Kingdom. One day, the King of Thoen Kingdom sent the Third Prince to pay tribute to the Emperor and I was tasked to escort him. During my time staying in Erioak, I met Ursula and our relationship started there
Kimaris told Kain how he met Ursula and fell in love. Things were going great for them and they were on track to be married. However, because of political dispute, the King of the Thoen Kingdom allied with other countries to rebel against the Elaysien Empire. As a Master Mage of the Elaysien Empire, Ursula and Kimaris became enemies regardless if they wanted to or not. Unlike Toria Continents where powerful magic casters were prohibited to serve in the military rank of any country. Lochwind Continents had no Mages Council, and every country had its own Mages Academies to train magic casters, as well as Warrior Barracks to train warriors. On the day the Thoen Kingdom fell against the Elaysien Empire, Ursula looked everywhere on the battlefield and managed to find Kimariss corpse. Ursula was heartbroken, begging a White Mage to cast [Resurrection] spell on Kimaris. But because Kimaris was killed for more than forty minutes, he couldnt be revived.
Because of his fighting style and bravery, Kimariss soul was dragged to the Thirteenth Gate of Hell Realm where he became a demon inside that gate and served as the Demon Lord of the Thirteenth Gate for millions of years. The only thing Kimaris could remember was his first name and the fighting abilities that he had when he was still alive. After advancing into Eleventh Stage Saint Warrior, Kimaris became undefeated within the Thirteenth Gate and he became favored by the Demon Lord very much. Many Conjurer Mages have encountered Kimaris but no one could defeat him in their astral forms which resulted in Kimaris never becoming anyone's Conjuration Magic spell. No one could have conjured Kimaris to even have a chance to ask him for a Soul-Bound Contract either.
After the Demon Lord of Thirteenth Gate became God-tier, Kimaris was chosen to be the new Demon Lord. He then slowly regained the lost memories of his past life as a human of Lochwind Continents. One day, Ursula visited the Hell Realm on a mission entrusted to her by the Emperor of the Elaysien Empire. The mission was for Ursula to persuade the almighty infamous Demon Lord of the Thirteenth Gate, Kimaris, to allow one of his avatars to be summonable because Elaysien Empire was fighting a great war against Lothelish Empire and the Elaysien Empire was on a losing streak. Demon Lords of the first Twelve Gates could not allow or not allow their avatars to be summonable through [Summon Demon Lord] Black Magic spell. However, the Demon Lord of the Thirteenth Gate can enable or disable his/her avatars to be summonable at any time. Kimaris, as the current Demon Lord of the Thirteenth Gate, has the ability to prevent any magic caster from summoning his avatars or conjuring him to another realm.

Of course, a Devil can always open the Thirteenth Gate in another realm to force Kimaris and his demon army to go through and obey that Devil's command. Even so, Devils are powerful creatures and rarely have a chance to visit another realm. Even when they travel to other realms, they have to be extra careful in not murdering anyone or recklessly opening the Hell Gates because the Watcher of that realm could punish them.
Upon meeting Kimaris again in Hell Realm, Ursula immediately recognized Kimaris as his human look has never changed. Kimaris was her first love, and he was the man that she gave her virginity to. Despite being married many times already and have plenty of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren. The love Ursula had for Kimaris never faded away.
Kimaris on the other hand took a while to recognize Ursula as she had matured much more than he had remembered. Notwithstanding being the almighty Demon Lord, Kimaris could never marry anyone because the rules prohibited demons and Demon Lords to have sexual encounters with anyone including other demons, creatures, humans, or even Demi-Humans. Devils on the other hand have the right to marry each other and have children as those rules were created by them to enforce on the demons, not for them.
Being as cocky as he was, Kimaris didn't give a shit about the rules and secretly had sex with Ursula thinking no one would ever find out. After Kimaris and Ursula had sex more than several hundreds of times, one of the Devil Overlord's spies eventually exposed them. Executing Kimaris isn't an option as he was chosen by the Watcher to hold the position as the Demon Lord. The Devil Overlord decided to punish Kimaris by publicly executing Ursula to set an example. Even though Kimaris was incredibly strong, his physical power isn't comparable to a Devil Warrior let alone a Devil Overlord. Because of that, Kimaris failed to protect Ursula and was forced to watch her being executed publicly.
Using the ability of the Demon Lord of the Thirteenth Gate, Kimaris bound Uruslas soul into his scythe and turned her into his Soul Weapon knowing it would upset the Devil Overlord much further. Despite knowing Kimaris and Ursula have sexual encounters now, the Devil Overlord couldnt do anything to him because the rules she created didn't prevent Demon Lords to have sex with their Soul Weapons. Even if the Devil Overlord creates new rules to prevent Demon Lords to have sex with their Soul Weapons, Kimaris wouldn't care about it anyway because he knows that she can't kill him. Physical punishment? Nothing makes Kimaris happier than feeling his flesh rip apart or burn for hours. It doesn't matter how many times the Devil Overlord punishes Kimaris to death, she eventually will still have to revive him as he can't be truly killed without Watcher Tykan's authorization.
