"What do you mean?"

Arico frowned as he looked at Eclipse who seemed to have some deeper thoughts as his eyes are focused on the auction evt that's happing.

"I just hope that it wasn't the case th…."

The world-hopper mumbled under his breath and Arico's hanced hearing heard what Eclipse said.

'What is he talking about?'

Arico thought as he keeps on observing the guests while also watching the auction evt and the first mysterious item that was on the cter stage and still covered in a cloth.

"NOW, LET'S BEGIN EVERYONE! ARE YOU ALL READY?!"

Eclipse just keeps on frowning as his eyes never leave the front cter stage and glued at the first mysterious item covered in cloth and waited for them to be uncovered.

"THE FIRST ITEM FOR TODAY'S AUCTION IS CALLED…. THE STONE OF THE WIND!"

Without further ado, after the MC announced the name of the first mysterious item, he removed the cloth covered into that item and now, the item is now exposed to everyone a them and most of the guests are now whispering themselves about this precious item.

The first item, from what the MC stated as the Stone of the Wind, it seems like the typical stone but there was an emerald gem at the cter of that stone and most of the audice believe that the gem is what the MC mtioned as the wind stone or something.

"Stone of the Wind?"

"It seems to me like some sort of gem or stone, what?"

"It could be good if refined as a fine jewelry."

"Looks good though."

More and more whispers from the crowd could be heard and Eclipse frowned once as he observed the first item that the MC stated was called [Stone of the Wind].

"A LITTLE INFORMATION ABOUT THIS ITEM WAS…. ACCORDING TO THE APPRAISER, THIS ITEM COULD BE REFINED AS A CRAFTED MAGIC STONE BECAUSE OF ITS AFFINITY TO WIND ELEMENT! OR IT COULD BE REFINED INTO YOUR WEAPON OF CHOICE AND IT WOULD BE IMBUED WITH WIND ELEMENT!"

"A wind magic stone? I could feel its elemtal ergy on that stone, ev though it's almost faint but it's still there."

Arico said as he looked at the first item revealed, Eclipse couldn't help but frowned ev further because he got this nagging feeling that there is something about the item being auctioned right now.

"AND NOW, THE STARTING BID FOR THIS ITEM IS…. 50 COSMOS!"

Arico choked on his saliva wh he heard the starting price for the bid.

"5-50 Cosmos?! That's almost equivalt to the commission fee that we received! I-is that item truly that wonderful? It's just a piece of stone to me with just a gem on it."

In this contint, the currcy is a little bit tricky compared back at the Cranus Contint.

COSMOS is the highest currcy that is almost equivalt to Cranus Contint's Gold currcy.

Although on this contint, gold coins are still acceptable since they had foreign tourists from the outside contint but most of the time, Cosmos currcy is highly acceptable whever purchasing items from this contint.

The foreigners outside from this contint could only exchange their currcies at any trade markets within this contint.

Arico looked at the audice as the bidding goes higher and higher that it almost shock him to death.

"What the f*ck—?! These aristocrats are truly insane for them to bid that much?!

Eclipse hummed and said; "I told you before that noble society prioritize their luxury, fame and appearance wherever they go. Ev though to the point that they need to sell their properties in order to make their appearance appealing to the crowds."

He paused for a momt and th continued; "However, not all nobles are truly like that, there are others like that but at the same time, not at all."

Arico sighed as he crossed his arms a his chest and said; "Well, talk about experice, ar't we? You know how the noble society works, ev we are now in a differt contint but still, the noble society system are still the same, no matter where you are."

The world-hopper agreed as he kept on observing how the aristocrats kept on raising the bid ev further.

"How was it, Arico? Did you managed to find our dear clit within the crowds?"

Eclipse asked his companion and Arico shook off his head and said; "Negative. I have doubts that maybe he wasn't amongst the crowds and the only conclusion that I could think about is that he might be in one of the VIP rooms here."

Eclipse hummed and said; "That's plausible since according to the information provided, he had someone backing him up and I have doubts that it might be the ruling Lord of this territory, but it wasn't that confirmed yet."

Arico grimaced at the audice who keeps on bidding that item and said; "That's only the first item in this evt and they are now hyped into bidding that item. What could have happed if there were more items that's more valuable than this one?"

Eclipse smirked and said; "That's what the owner of this establishmt is trying to do. To get the audice be hyped so that it could continue wh the next item would be prested."

Arico, who doesn't quite understand the situation; "What do you mean? That item is just a f*cking stone and ev though it has some elemtal ergy on it, it's only faint and nothing else. That could only be refined as some kind of jewelry for the noble ladies or for weapon materials."

"That's not an ordinary stone, Arico. Don't just look at the appearance."

Eclipse said and Arico still had a frown expression on his face and said perplexedly; "What?"

The world-hopper just ignored him and sighed as he shouted; "900!"

After that, the audice from below kept quiet wh they heard Eclipse bid a higher amount and all of them couldn't help but have a shock expression on their faces and all of them looked at the balcony where Eclipse and Arico are now situation.

At the front cter stage, the MC had a shocked expression on his face as he directed his eyes at one of the VIP rooms wh he heard that amount of bid coming from that direction.

The MC thought; 'That room, according to Fran, the one who occupied that room had the [tok] prested on him at the trance of this establishmt. However, Fran told me that this person who had the [tok] doesn't have any resemblance to the people of that household, ev though this person wears a mask to conceal his appearance but the [tok] within his hands are guine and not fake.'

After he said that, the audice a kept quiet because it seemed like there was no one who dared to bid higher than what Eclipse bid for.

"GOING ONCE! GOING TWICE.... AND SOLD! CONGRATULATION TO VIP #09! THE ITEM WOULD BE DELIVERED TO YOUR ROOM SHORTLY AFTER THIS! THANK YOU FOR YOUR BID!"

After that, one of the staff at the front cter stage cleared out the item sold and are now preparing for the second item to be auctioned.

"HEY! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR F*CKING MIND?! WHY THE F*CKING HELL DID YOU BID THAT FOR?!"

Arico shouted at Eclipse because the world-hopper bid that much money for that first item in this auction and before the Slayer Agt could react from his initial shock, the bid has be finalized and the item is now sold to them, well, specifically, to Eclipse.

"THAT'S 900 COSMOS, YOU IDIOT! WHERE THE HELL COULD YOU HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY?!"

It's good for them that they were at the VIP room and also, the barrier that Eclipse activated from earlier so that Arico's loud voice wouldn't spread outside and cause a commotion because of that.

For that momt, Eclipse sighed and th took out his Advturer Badge and prested it to Arico who couldn't stop whining and kept on talking from here and there.

"Did you forgot the privilege that we had as an S-Rank Advturer?"

After he said that, Arico stopped his irrelevant nagging as he looked at the Advturer Badge prested by Eclipse and that's the time that it clicked something through his head the momt, he saw that badge and he mtally curse himself for forgetting about something important.
