Chapter 104: | 104 | War For Liberation Part 23: Battle of Servusarator(Finale)
Inside the bridge of the capital battleship of the combined-offensive fleet, Spear of Longinus. Abraham read through the new reports transmitted by the Marine Vanguard Forces. And from the looks of it, they had won the battle of Servusarator.
The Marine Vanguard Forces steamrolled through the defensive fortifications of the town after the Special Response Unit took out the leadership of the local garrison. The guards couldn't mount a proper defense against the Marines, causing them to be completely defeated half an hour later.
It was practically a complete victory for the United Navy.
But that didn't mean that they had no price to pay.
According to the report, a single Marine got KIA'd during the intrusion of the municipal hall and the interior walls of the town. As the Marines were pushing through enclosed space, some Marines were unlucky enough to be ambushed by the maddened guards.
Other than the Marine that died, there were also two that got injured by a spear and an arrow respectively.
The news of the death caused the fleet admiral to frown. He understood that it wasn't possible to eradicate casualties during battle, but that didn't make it less tasteless nonetheless.
"I guess we should host a funeral for the Marine." Abraham sighed to himself and continued reading through the report presented by the vice admiral beside him.
The next lines in the report were primarily about the captured prisoners of war. But what interested him the most were two individuals amongst the list of recorded names. According to the list, they were the captain and the war master of the expansionary battleship.
The fact that they were captured instead of killed was a piece of good news. The United Navy was dwindling its treasure troves of intelligence, so they needed more to keep their information up to date. These two practically appeared at the perfect time.
Not only that, there was also the identity of the war master, which could help them in researching the subject of magicraft. Though... The problem of whether or not he would comply and assist the R&D Department of the United Navy was another aspect the fleet admiral had to tackle.
But there were many ways to make an individual give his accord. Perhaps, Laplace has the skills to make the war master assist them in their research efforts. Nevertheless, this was for the future him to handle.
Another segment of the report was the Minokin tribe. With the help of the so-called Warchief, the United Navy identified over four to five thousand Minokins in the plantation colony. A fairly large number, but an understandable one.
All of the captured Minokins practically got dragged into the plantation colony of Servusarator to be enslaved by its colonists and assist them in the plantations scattered throughout the island.
However, the numbers also pose a problem. Unlike before when the United Navy saved over a hundred beastfolk slaves, the Minokin tribe was more or less intact, making them somewhat difficult to handle.
There was also the consideration, questioning whether the Minokin tribe should be assimilated into the newly established town of the Port of Dawn.
While he would like them to join their town, he understood that the great numbers of the Minokin would create an imbalance in the beastfolk population. Though... The problems of the Minokin tribe didn't have to be taken care of now.
There was still time left, and the liberation of the plantation colony was far from over.
At any rate, the report about the conclusion of Operation Phantom Liberation was lengthy, but detailed. It made the fleet admiral understand the situation in the field despite not being actually in it.
'Before I tackle the problems recorded in the file, I should consolidate the navy's power and authority over the island.' Abraham thought to himself as he was confident that the Colonial
Dominion of Terra wouldn't take this liberation well.
They would probably send their navy, army, and the expansionary fleet, Principatus Humanum to reclaim the lost colony of Servusarator.
Since the United Navy had liberated the island from its colonial overlords, it was their duty to make sure that it stayed liberated over a period of time. They simply couldn't retreat and watch as the Colonial Dominion of Terra took over the island once again.
However, staying and defending the island poses a troublesome situation for the United Navy.
Instead of being on the offensive, they would be on the defensive. This course of action would be costly for the naval organization, and there was also the maritime protection of the Port of Dawn.
"This is a problem of conquering a territory. Our forces get split up trying to defend every single one of them." Abraham muttered under his breath while Charlotte raised an eyebrow and remarked.
"To be not on the defensive, fleet admiral, is to stay on the offensive." Her remark was painfully obvious. Every nation throughout various wars from several eras never stopped in one territory. They continue on the other so that the former would stay protected while they take more.
It was a simple logic.
The question was whether or not the United Navy could support such an endeavor. It would be costly to their logistics if they ever dared to continue warring against the Colonial Dominion of Terra without resting.
There was also the stamina of the Marines that they needed to take care of. They simply couldn't keep sending the Marines into battle. They would sooner or later collapse from mental exhaustion.
"I understand that, Charlotte. But the question is, should we?" As he had said before, should they stay on the offensive instead of calming things down? Well, no matter how much he tried to question it, the answer was clear.
Charlotte only smiled at the fleet admiral, who sighed upon meeting her determined gaze. While he thought that it was a bad idea as they might be chewing more than they could handle, he also understood that offense was the greatest defense.
As if responding to his thoughts, a mechanical bell rang inside his mind.
*Ding!*
Abraham raised his eyebrows as the only time it rang was when the declaration of war was declared and Operation Phantom Liberation was created. Either the mission was completed, or perhaps a sub-mission emerged.
Fortunately, however... It seems to be the former.

It has been a while since he received a sub-mission reward from the Naval Gacha System. So, the notifications bombarding his head were a welcome one as they might assist him in their offensive plans of action.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the northern seas of the sea region of Terra. A fleet of five expansionary battleships was heading towards the plantation colony of Servusarator. They had previously received a distress call regarding a rebellion and an infiltration of UN forces in the colony.
While they could have activated their spatial transmission array to arrive instantly at the plantation colony, they were sadly met with a turbulent storm that practically left them stranded in the northern seas during the entire night.
After the storm calmed down, they wanted to immediately activate their spatial transmission array.
However, upon trying to contact the plantation colony, no response returned.
This forced the fleet commander to withhold the spatial transmission and call for assistance from the main fleet. After all, the situation in the plantation colony of Servusarator might be far from simple.
*Fleet Commander, has the storm calmed down in your area?* The voice from the runic communicator questioned. The fleet commander took a deep breath and responded to the voice.
"The storm has calmed down, Sir."
*Well, then... Have you arrived at your destination?* The strange voice inquired once again, while the fleet commander earnestly replied.
"No, Sir. The plantation colony hasn't given any response from our runic transmissions. I believe that we have lost the colony." The fleet commander was cautious. The moment the plantation colony didn't reply, he immediately thought of the colony's defeat.
*Hmm... The plantation colony of Servusarator cannot be lost, Fleet Commander. But... The loss of five expansionary battleships can be damaging to the Colonial Dominion's naval power.* Luckily for the fleet commander, the voice didn't order them to go on a suicide mission.
*However, the colony has a population of over ten thousand subjects of the Albion Empire. We cannot simply abandon them. Try to contact the troublemaker and negotiate for their release.*
*Otherwise, the Albion Empire will hold us responsible.* Hearing the orders of the voice, the fleet commander nodded and responded. "I shall do so, Fleet General."
With that, the runic communication between the two was cut off. The fleet command sighed to himself as the safest sea region of Terra had become embroiled in a problematic situation. This kind of problem was something he expected in the Frontier.
Not this far back in the territorial domain of humanity.
But there was nothing he could do about it as it was the gears of destiny turning in a direction that shouldn't have been possible. He could only adapt and try to survive for what was to come.
"I hope that the United Navy will be open for negotiations." The fleet commander mumbled to himself before turning his head to his men. Without any further delays, he immediately ordered his war master.
"Activate the spatial transmission array! Send us to the waters near the plantation colony."
When the war master heard the orders of the fleet commander. The war master nodded and swiftly activated the spatial transmission array along with his fellow war masters.
A gigantic radiant spell circle materialized in the heavens above the fleet and the spatial transmission began. The space around the expansionary battleships distorted as the waves became turbulent.
Then... In an instant, the fleet of massive battleships disappeared.
