Chapter 185: Crossing The Gate
Chapter 185: Crossing The Gate
As she was revelling in her thoughts, the colossus behind her began to move. 'Ah shit, guess we're all out of luck!' Vaskra knew better than to try and flee. Doing so would only make the creature think that they had something to hide. To be fair, they really did. However, only Vaskra knew of this fact. So there was practically no risk of the giant realising.
Yul gazed around groggily as his tentacled beard came to life. Relief soon flooded his mind when he realised the expected bombardment never came. As he regained his focus, he noticed the ragtag group of monsters standing before him. The dead bodies of the heroes who had kept him in such a weak position lay broken and scattered around the clearing.
It was not hard for him to work out what had happened. Basically, this group had saved him from being cut apart piece by piece. He would have to treat them as friends and reward them if he could. He gathered his thoughts for a moment as he tried to remember everything that had happened recently.
He could remember ruling over this island once he broke free about a year ago. Perhaps it was longer. Ever since that bastard of a monster failed to uphold his end of the deal. Things had been pretty great for him since then. Every now and then the heroes would send a sacrificial offering to him. He had no idea how they knew that he liked his food to fight back, but he would not complain.
Then this strange guy appeared all on his own. When he had attempted to skewer him on a sharp rock, he suddenly discovered that his magic had been sealed! This had placed Yul in an embarrassing situation. Without his magic, his body was actually pretty weak. He constantly supplied mana to it, using a strengthening effect.
It was the first time in his life that he cursed not being born with his father's sturdy body. There were very few things that could actually threaten a God. Yul looked at the group and was about to say his thanks when something did not feel quite right. He slowly rose to his feet and as he did one of his tentacles that made up his beard slipped around his leg to reveal that he actually had no genitals in that area. It was as smooth as a freshly carved rock!
Instead, he noticed that a rather chunk of his most important body part was missing. This caused him a great amount of distress. You see, Yul's genitals were located where a human belly button would be. With the way, he was laying, it could have easily have been mistaken for a finger.
Vaskra realised her mistake when the giant stood up. 'Shame, if it were what I thought it was earlier it would have been far more impressive!' Despite having the gall to humour herself, a guilty look flashed across her face. Like a thieving child caught red-handed in the act!
"Do you know who did this to me!"
"Um, I think it was one of the heroes that ran into that cave over there just before we landed." Vaskra put on her best poker face while letting out a soft whistling noise.
Everything about her screamed guilty, but luckily for her, Yul believed her. Since cutting up his body was their aim when they captured him, it was only too believable. Yul's demeanour changed drastically to one of pure wrath. He began to lurch towards a rocky outcrop just above where the tunnel should lead too. With heavy strikes, he dug his way down into the tunnel. Revealing the gate to the rays of the sun.
A few heroes were inside and were currently running around like headless chickens in a panic. Yul grinned savagely as he grabbed ahold of all ten of them with his tentacles. The hands at their tips grabbed ahold of their very delicate parts. The look of fear on their faces was like no other. All of them but one were terrified of losing their junk.
The last one was getting a little hot and bothered as he remembered the images that he used to search on the internet back on earth. In particular, the ones that involved a tentacled monster and some rather adult orientated content. 'This is my favourite part!' The hero squealed in his mind as the anticipation was getting to him.
In the next moment, Yul tore off all of their junk and tossed them to the side of the cave with a casual flick of his tentacles. They looked like little sausages flying through the air which would have made Vaskra feel hungry if she witnessed it. Yul let them squeal for a short while before popping them one by one into his cavernous mouth like candy. The crunch made him feel slightly better for the trauma that he had just experienced.
Vaskra and her group made their way over and peered inside of the gaping hole. It was dark, dusty and unloved. Reminding Vaskra of her own cave. 'Maybe when I see Kace again we can change that.' She chuckled at her own obscene thoughts. Looking inside, she spotted the gate, and it just so happened to still be active! This was their chance!
"Thanks! You've really helped us a lot! It would have been hard for me to squeeze through that cave!" Vaskra yelled up to the giant.
Leaving him dumbfounded as she glided down into the cave and directly into the gate. The others shrugged their shoulders and immediately followed her lead. It took them a bit longer to get there since they did not possess a fancy flying chair. Shizran complained about it more than anyone else as they disappeared into the gate.
'What a weird bunch!' Yul thought. 'They did not even let me thank them. Oh shit! That's right! A reward!' Yul subconsciously stretched out a tentacle to the gateway. When they made contact the magic that made up the portal began to compress Yul in size, before sucking him through to the other side along with the ragtag rescue group
