Legendary Shelter Survival Guide

Chapter 58 Dismantle?

"So... what now?" Lucas asked John, everyone was sitting at the newly created camp inside the defenses but Lucas and John were on the other side discussing things related to survival and the shelter.

"The shelter has upgraded, the long-time progress we were going for is completed now. The only thing left is to complete the objectives." John said while looking at the shelter from the outside with crossed hands.

"I know, I haven't seen the upgrade requirements for this time but they will be too much, I can tell that. Completing the objectives is our only long-term plan for now." Lucas said, his eyes were at the entrance of the defenses.

It had become evident that in order to be safe, they had to upgrade the defenses.

"Oh, Uncle John, I was surprised so I didn't tell at that time but I got a new skill for the shelter," Lucas said and opened the shelter's ability prompt.

"What is it?"

"Dismantle" Lucas spoke and clicked on the skill to get the skill description.

Dismantle

Uncommon

Level 1

Dismantle is a valuable utility skill that allows the user to efficiently disassemble objects and equipment into their individual components. With this skill, the user gains the ability to break down items into their raw materials, salvaging valuable resources for crafting, repairs, or trade.

At Level 1, it can take a lot of time to dismantle a single thing but the time will lessen with each upgrade.

"Hot Damn! Such a good skill!" Lucas shouted with a laugh.

He told the whole description to John to which he could only look at him with his eyes wide.

"Lucas... this skill is... too much. Are you saying that we can dismantle anything? Like the big corpse and the Coyates?" John asked, a small excited smile forming on his face.

Lucas was surprised, he hadn't thought about it that way as his mind was gone toward the possibility to dismantle his sword. He wondered what would come out as a raw material if he did that.

But it was impossible for now and would also be a dumb move to dismantle the only good weapon he got after all this time.

Lucas and John went inside the shelter with quick steps, the others were busy with their conversation and eating the smoky meat that they didn't care about what they were doing.

Lucas went running inside the storage room getting the same cold feeling again, it had been a while since there had not been any cold temperature this whole time he was here as getting sweaty was a norm.

Lucas looked at the giant carcass in front of him, the one that was all this time sitting outside half done by Sean, Barney, and Sarah.

"I don't know how to proceed, but let me activate it first."

Lucas thought of using the dismantling skill which made the whole storage room turn blue, it was not the storage room that was blue but Lucas's vision.

He looked at each and everything inside the storage room which was normal until his eyes fell on the various carcasses on the ground.

There was an arrow right above their body and Lucas couldn't help but tap on the one above the big one by moving closer.

[10 mana points and 5 hours needed to dismantle. Continue?]

Lucas got the same yet different message at the same time, he clicked on the same old 'Yes at the end and waited for something to happen and he was not disappointed.

The carcass shone in white and after five seconds, it changed to a not really see-through rectangle.

It was whitish and Lucas could still see the silhouette of the carcass but aside from that, nothing.

"Uncle John, are you able to see this too?" Lucas said with a calm, he had become surprised, dumbfounded, and many more emotions in a single day that made him see all this as the norm in this world now.

"If you are talking about the white rectangle, then yes," John said while going around and looking everywhere around it.

Both of them hadn't dared to touch it as they could see some minuscule movement inside.

"It will be done in 5 hours, Uncle John. Let's go outside, it took most of my mana anyway." Lucas went outside the storage room but John didn't. He told him that he wanted to stay and look around a little more that Lucas didn't mind.

He went out and sat with the group that talked about random stuff from the past. While Sean and Barney were happy they didn't have to go college anymore, Sarah was different, she was going to complete her college soon and get a degree yet all that had gone in vain.

She had taken business as her major and said that she was going to open her own business someday which made her get a big lecture on how it is a work that demands a lot of sacrifice and time from Ella.

Lucas was sitting there listening to everyone but deep down he was still stuck with the same discussion that the other had moved past a long time ago.

If things were going to be normal, Lucas was on the verge of completing his schooling and had to pick a college for the future but he had interest in nothing other than fighting and adventures.

It was not like he was a normal student, Lucas was always fifth or sixth in the whole batch of students when it came to grades. But he had no interest in studying things he didn't like.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

But he was taken out of that loop and sent here to survive in a whole different way. It was a way that Lucas liked and always wanted.

When everyone went inside to sleep on the next floor, Lucas was thinking of a plan to move along.

After thinking a lot, a frown formed on his face as the realization of something that was in their sight all this time but they didn't care was just discovered by him.
