Chapter 586: Chapter 586 - The Legacy of Cecilia’s Soul

Immortal Legacy.

Broken had returned to Slumdon Town. Since the expedition to the Moonlight Fae Land, he hadn't done much, having taken a few days off to handle things in the real world. But today, The sat in his study, reviewing the town's progress.

There was a knock on the door. After he granted permission, it opened, and two young women entered—a girl with short orange hair in a maid dress, and another, a straight-haired blonde elf. Yara and Nimue.

Yara, as usual, wore a bright smile, while Nimue, Elowen's younger sister, kept her usual reserved and slightly shy expression.

"My Lord, is there anything I can help with?"

"Well, yes. I'd like to hear about the town's progress from your perspectives and get an update on your magic training. How about we take a walk around the town? Are you both finished with your tasks?"

"Yes, My Lord, we'd love to take a stroll with you."

Broken stepped out of the House of Slumdon, noticing how the gardens were now filling with blooming flowers.

"I like this place more and more," he said, taking in the fresh, colorful scene. "Feels so much more alive."

"My Lord, it's all thanks to the seeds you provided us, and that rain-summoning ritual-it's really helped bring life back to the town," Yara replied cheerfully.

"Thank you for all your hard work, Yara. I love what you've done with the flower garden."

"I'm planning to plant more flowers around town, my Lord. It's something I love doing." "Just don't overwork yourself, okay?"

They continued down the town's streets, with many people glancing their way. A few of them even bowed as they passed.

The town had truly changed. It was no longer dry and barren; the streets were cleaner, free of the dust that once covered everything. Flowers were beginning to bloom in pots outside homes, and the number of people in the town was steadily growing, with more players arriving each day.

Yara chatted away, filling him in on all the latest town updates, while Nimue walked quietly by her side.

"Since the Temple of Resurrection was completed, we've had even more players staying here," Yara continued.

Broken suddenly remembered that he hadn't yet set his revive point to this town. It was still set in Deadbay City. He'd need to change that soon.

The marketplace was also starting to flourish. Many townsfolk had begun setting up stalls, selling food, mined goods, and adventurer supplies. It was exciting to see the town slowly coming together, piece by piece.

The inn and restaurant established by PussyCat and RememberMe were filling up with visitors, too. As more facilities like these opened, the town's tax revenue increased, which would help it grow even faster.

One of the biggest attractions had become the Gorilla Statue in town square. Once people found out it was a real golem, visitors flocked there for photos, turning it into a bustling spot.

While the Golemancer class wasn't uncommon-many players had it-Broken was the only one in Immortal Legacy with a Legendary-grade golem.

Then, a message from Freya appeared:

[Freya: "Livelywood and Cedric are waiting for you at the HoS."]

Ah, he'd nearly forgotten he had a meeting with Livelywood. With Yara and Nimue accompanying him, Broken turned back toward the House of Slumdon.

As they walked, Yara's bright energy and Nimue's quiet presence seemed to draw the eyes of everyone they passed. Broken couldn't help but wonder if people were staring because he was walking with two striking maids-or if they were just paying more attention to him these days.

There were fifteen Faes who had joined Broken, including Cedric, and each had found a role that suited their talents. Some worked as farmers or builders, and five of them, including Cedric, had even joined the Knights team.

"Anna told me she had a lot of fun going on an expedition with you. Can I come with you next time, My Lord?" Yara asked.

Broken turned to her, raising an eyebrow. "What exactly did she do, and what does she mean by 'having fun'?"

"Uh... maybe she got to taste lots of delicious food or hang out with the other Knights?"Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"You really should be more careful with what you hear, Yara," Broken replied, amused. "I'm sure you wouldn't find it so interesting if you knew what Anna actually did when she came with me."

"Oh, really?"

"Yes, battles of life and death, no joke," he said, his tone firm. "Though maybe Anna found that exciting. Still interested?"

Yara swallowed nervously, then grinned, clearly unsure but intrigued.

Broken returned to the House of Slumdon and entered the living room, where Livelywood and Cedric were waiting.

"Good morning, Broken," Livelywood greeted him with a friendly smile.

"Greetings, My Lord... hahaha..." Cedric chimed in with his usual cheerful expression.

"Hi..." Broken replied casually.

The three of them took their seats on the soft, plush sofas in the living room. Broken had something important to discuss with them-specifically, the Soul Stone that Livelywood had given him at the end of the expedition a few days earlier.

"So..." Broken began, turning to Cedric. "Livelywood found your sister's Soul Stone."

"Yes, My Lord..." Cedric replied, his expression calm but with his gaze slightly lowered.

Livelywood then recounted the events of that night in the battle, and Cedric listened, his face composed, clearly prepared to hear what had happened.

The battle that night had been pure chaos. Many on their side had been wounded, fending off attacks from monsters coming at them from every direction. The situation only worsened when Fang, the massive Eternal Flame wolf, entered the fray.

Cedric's expression tightened slightly at the mention of his father's name.

Fang was incredibly powerful. Without the presence of two Knight Grand Crosses, Fang could have easily wiped out many in their ranks. But just as they were barely managing to push Fang back, a new threat emerged—a figure, Eternal Flame, a creature with white fur, walking on

two legs.

The creature let out a piercing scream-not just a cry, but a stunning wail that froze everyone in their tracks.

Because of this Eternal Flame, several of the kingdom's forces were killed, and even Starfall was severely wounded. Livelywood had been forced to push himself beyond his limits to break free from the creature's crowd control and end her rampage.

Cedric sat in silence as he absorbed the story. His sister, Cecilia, had gone all out to protect

their father, nearly overwhelming the attackers single-handedly.

After a moment, Cedric smiled faintly. "Cecilia did her best," he said.

Broken nodded, considering his plans for the Soul Stone.

"Tell me, My Lord, you mentioned you needed something with the Soul Stone, right?" Cedric

asked.

"Actually... I intended to use Cecilia's Soul Stone to craft a new item."

"My Lord, with all my humility and respect, please use it as you wish; that's your right," Cedric said firmly. "I'm sure Cecilia did her job well, and I know she wouldn't regret any of it."

Broken nodded slowly, moved by Cedric's calm acceptance.

Cedric continued, "Cecilia fulfilled her role with honor, and I'm sure she would be glad for her Soul Stone to serve a purpose for you." He gave a resolute nod.

"And, my Lord," Cedric added, "there's someone I'd like you to meet, if you don't mind."

"Someone?"
