Chapter 95: Who said you could use your magic energy?
The group of four looked at the weapons lying on the table in a line, curiosity plastered on their faces. In this world, weapons were for the mortals, mages never used them. Therefore, all three girls were clueless about what they should choose.
Noor, being the most curious person in the group, couldn't hold herself back from touching all the weapons one by one, asking about the ones she didn't recognize.
There was a hammer, she tried to lift it but failed miserably, seeing this everyone burst into a peal of laughter.
Though Noor was embarrassed after failing to lift the weapon, the lady pouted and then turned towards Leafwhisk, "Master, what should I choose?"
"You don't need to call me master. It feels too old fashioned, call me a teacher." Leafwhisk smiled towards Noor, "As for what weapon you want to choose, that is entirely upon you just choose the one you like the most. At this moment every weapon is the same for you because you have never practised with any of them."
Noor sighed after hearing the lady, she knew that she had to make her own decision. At the same time, Rebecca and Isobel also started to examine the weapons one by one.
"Alright, I will choose these!" Noor said with an excited voice.
Everyone turned towards her and saw her holding two knives in both hands.
"Not bad, the knives could perfectly work with your space element; with a space element you can become even better assassin than a dark element user." Leafwhisk nodded after looking at the knives.
After hearing the name assassin, Noor frowned and said, "Then I won't select these knives; I want to fight with my enemies face to face and don't run away sneakily like those assassins. I don't want to attack anyone from the shadows, that's too despicable."
"You are stupid. Do you think your enemies will fight you face to face as you want? It doesn't matter how you defeated your opponent the only thing which matters is the result. If I can kill my enemy by any underhanded method, I will gladly use it. Because your opponent isn't going to fight you with your rules."
Leafwhisk looked at Noor, then continued, "And the knife isn't the weapon of the assassin but most assassin's use it when they carry out their missions. Your element is space which is perfect for you to become an assassin because people with dark element would have an advantage in the night but space element doesn't have any such restriction."
"Alright, I will choose knives then, but I won't become an assassin," Noor replied stubbornly. She looked at the knives adorably, wanting to start her practice immediately.
The two knives for her were like two toys for a baby, as soon as the baby gets his hands on the toy, he would start exploring that toy, multiplying the toy in several parts, the same thing was happening with Noor, she got her new toy, and now, she wanted to explore her new toy.
Leafwhisk looked at Noor and shook her head. For her, the weapon wasn't a toy, but a life long partner. Her life would depend on her weapon most of the time, after all.
Ayaan who was standing behind the girl also frowned after hearing her words, 'She thinks everyone will fight with her honourably. I need to show her the cruel side of the world, or she would be in trouble when she encounters someone despicable.'
Nonetheless, Noor selected the two knives and now, it was Rebecca and Isobel's turn. Both of them examined the weapons on the table for some time before selecting their desired weapon.
Rebecca held a beautiful katana in her hand which shined with a metallic lustre. It was about a metre long and three-finger wide. Rebecca held the katana very affectionately. It made even Ayaan jealous of that damn katana.
At the side was Isobel in her hair were two small red coloured pins, connected by an almost invisible thread. It was her weapon which she had selected. Though it was rather peculiar, it wasn't an ordinary weapon. This weapon had a bloody history of its own.
Leafwhisk had told her that the weapon once belonged to the famous killer. The killer was a lady; she had killed hundreds of people with this weapon. Becoming a rather notorious entity in her time. Due to that, her weapon, the hairpin also became famous around the area of hundreds of miles the pin wasn't any less powerful than a pair of knives and a katana.
At this time, Leafwhisk turned towards Ayaan, saying, "You should also choose a weapon which you like. Though at this moment you can't practice elemental energy. You can still practice with weapons."
After hearing Leafwhisk, Ayaan's eyes turned wet and felt overwhelmingly emotional. After encountering so many terrible events, he heard something good. At least, he could practice with the weapon. His eyes became red when he remembered his pitiful experience in these previous days.
'Damn! I am going to tear that bastard dog piece by piece who made me dog!' Ayaan screamed in his head emotionally and walked towards the table.
After looking at weapons one by one, his gaze fell on a sabre; it was black, covered in dust; its blade was as wide as five fingers of an adult. Though the appearance of the sabre wasn't impressive, Ayaan found it rather cool. Not wasting any time, he grabbed the weapon excitedly, shouting, "I will take this sabre!"
Leafwhisk looked at him but didn't say anything. She turned towards the girls and passed them three scrolls. Then explained, "These are the three fighting skills which are compatible with your weapons."
She looked at Isobel, and explained, "Your weapon is rather peculiar, it doesn't need any fighting skill. It depends on you how you use it. In the scroll which I gave you are two skills; one is controlling skill and the other is throwing skill. The controlling skill will let you control your hairpin more perfectly during the fight."
"As for the throwing skill, it could improve your aim. In a fight, it will be very useful, you could attack your opponent from a few meters away. Because you can use your pin as a long-range weapon as well as a short-range weapon; therefore, this aiming skill will be very useful."
In the scrolls of the other two ladies were just basic moves of the knife and sword. Both didn't have any opinion about that; they knew they were just beginners in this area, so they needed to practice from the basics.
Afterwards, Leafwhisk passed one scroll to Ayaan as well.it was also the scroll about the basic moves of the sword art. He looked at the lady, and frowned, "Are you treating us like a child, these are only basic moves!"
"Damn it! It is just, lunge, parry, repose, horizontal cut, vertical cut. What the hell! Do you think we are two years old? This is too much. I want to become strong, but do you think I can become strong with these few basic moves? I can slaughter hundreds of beasts with my magic energy, I don't need this shitty weapon and its technique!"
Ayaan was furious as well as speechless. What the hell was it?! These were the moves those poor people without any magic energy would practice.
Leafwhisk looked at Ayaan and chuckled, "Who said you could use your magic energy?"
As she spoke, a silver light discharged from her hand and went inside Ayaan's body.
Immediately, Ayaan felt something amiss inside his body; when he checked his body, he realised that he couldn't feel any magic energy. There was no trace of magic energy inside his body!
'Wh-what the hell happened?!" Ayaan couldn't help but shout at Leafwhisk.
"You have five minutes to check out the contents of the scroll. Afterwards, you will go to the fourth level and hunt a great mage level beast for dinner." She looked at Ayaan amusedly. She really enjoyed torturing this guy.
"What do you mean I need to kill the great mage beasts? Do you expect me to kill a great mage beast with this sabre?!" his eyes were wide open, he didn't know what to do. 'Is she trying to kill me? No, if she really wanted to kill me she could kill me easily. Is she restricted by something and can't kill the inheritor of the tower?' Ayaan's imagination started to run wild but he couldn't reach any conclusion.
"Four minutes left!" a voice suddenly disturbed his thinking process, looking at Leafwhisk furiously.
Other three girls looked at Ayaan worriedly, Noor looked at Ayaan and couldn't help from chiming in, "Teacher, isn't it too dangerous to fight with a great mage beast? I think you should at least let him use his magic energy."
"Yes, it is too dangerous to let him fight with a beast without magic power." Isobel and Rebecca also tried to help Ayaan.
Ayaan heard and felt like hugging them, 'These three women are great. I should at least gift them a small version of me later.'
"Two minutes!" At this moment, the voice of Leafwhisk was like a demon of hell. He gritted his teeth in hatred and started to look at the content of the scroll. He tried to remember every detail of the scroll, but at this time a hand reached in front of him and snatched the scroll.
"Times up!' Leafwhisk said and before Ayaan could turn his gaze at her, a portal which appeared at his head sucked him inside it.
'Teacher, why are you being so strict with him?" Noor couldn't help herself from asking and the other two as well looked at Leafwhisk.
The lady sneered at her question, "Do you think I am being strict with him? He is the successor of the elementless tower, enemies are waiting for him to slaughter. If he isn't powerful enough to fight them, then he will die. You can become strong and support him but remember, he is our main force."
"Therefore, he has to become powerful faster than any of you. Even in this world, many people are already trying to find him. If he is not strong he will die a horrible death and with him, you will also die."
