Chapter 39: A maid



As his words fell, a white-gray domain spread out, covering both him and the hydra.

The domain wasn't large, only a few hundred meters wide.

"A domain? Human, Is your intellect as lacking as your courage?" The hydra looked at the domain in disdain. Domains are useless to anyone above Emperor Profound realm, they are only used to bully the weak.

Within this domain, Yun Wuji exists everywhere at once. Each figure is a perfect embodiment of him, not just an illusion or a copy. Every movement, every breath, every flicker of his gaze is synchronized, yet independent. If one attacks, all attack. If one defends, all defend.

It's as if the very concept of being in only one place at a time has been shattered. The domain bends the rules of space and time, making Yun Wuji omnipresent in the truest sense within its boundaries.

"An illusion won't save you, human! You're at your wit's end. Just give up and let me eat you!" All of the hydra's heads spoke in unison, their voices echoing menacingly.

The hydra's heads opened wide and shot out beams of energy at one of the Yun Wujis. The beams twisted and combined as they traveled, merging into a massive, blinding ray of light that surged toward him.

Yun Wuji's body swayed slightly and then vanished just as the massive beam reached him. The beam shot past, missing him completely and soaring off into the distance. He reappeared a few meters away from where the beams had passed.

"I can only maintain this state for a few seconds. Let's end this." He raised his hand, and a giant ball of crimson phoenix flame appeared on his arm. At the same time, all the Yun Wujis did the same. He sent the fireball toward the hydra.

Star Scorching Demon Lotus!

A hundred giant fireballs flew toward the hydra, filling the entire few hundred-meter domain. The whole area turned red from the blazing fire.

"Mer illusions won't do anything to me," the hydra sneered as the fireballs flew toward it. It didn't try to dodge, thinking the attacks were just illusions and only one of them was real. It believed a single fireball couldn't do much damage, especially since earlier it had shown that this human wasn't a real threat.

"...!!!" Feeling the intense heat burning its skin, the hydra finally reacted. But, like many dumb people in this world of cultivation, it was already too late for them.

With a loud explosion, the fireballs erupted, sending out layers of blazing phoenix flames. The flames spread quickly, wrapping around the hydra and forming a huge, fiery lotus. The hydra was completely engulfed in the intense, glowing flames, which lit up the whole domain.

Yun Wuji felt a severe weakness hit him as the domain vanished, along with all the other Yun Wujis. He slowly began to fall to the ground.

Recently, after breaking through to the tenth level of the Sky Profound Realm, he started trying it out. Today was the first time he had used it in a real fight.

nearby.

Honestly, he was pretty disappointed about what happened last time. Although he could understand Dongfang Xiu's actions from his perspective after all, he didn't know Wuji's strength and had the responsibility to protect the royal family.

However, understanding and accepting are two different things. After all, humans don't always follow logic, and Wuji is no exception

Cang Yue arrived at Floating Cloud City alone. Dongfang Xiu had dropped her off outside the city, worried that Yun Wuji might misunderstand their intentions.

She nervously clenched her robe and lowered her head, she opened her mouth trying to speak but no words came out. After several failed attempts, she finally took a deep breath, lifted her head, and blurted out loudly, "I want to become your maid!"

"Is that so? Okay, follow me," Yun Wuji tilted his head, looking at her body from head to toe. His eyes lingered for a moment on her thighs before he simply agreed.

"..." Cang Yue stared blankly at him. She got the result she wanted, but why does his response feel disappointing?
