Suddenly, the flames parted as a massive, dark gray snake head burst through. Its scales flickered ominously, and its eyes glowed with a sinister light. The snake's mouth gaped open, revealing rows of sharp, wicked teeth. The appearance of this monstrous creature amidst the raging fire made the scene even more horrifying.

After the first head broke through, more followed, each one crashing through the fire with a deafening roar. The monstrous heads locked their menacing eyes on the man soaring above, their roars echoing across the burning landscape.

"Noisy, that's why I hate fighting beasts. Can't you just stop with that annoying roar?" Yun Wuji muttered, glaring at the hydra. Lightning crackled around his hand as he swung it downward. Bolts of lightning streaked from the sky, slamming into the beast.

BOOOMMM!

The lightning struck the hydra's head directly, and chunks of flesh were blown off, scattering everywhere. Huge holes were ripped through its massive heads, leaving the beast a mangled mess as pieces of meat splattered across the scorched ground.

The hydra didn't bother dodging or moving; it just stood there as the lightning rained down on it, and astonishingly enough, the beast's damaged heads healed up quickly as if they'd never been hurt. The hydra lifted all seven of its heads, glaring fiercely at Yun Wuji. It snarled, "Nice try, human! But these attacks? They're doing nothing to me. You should just give up and let me eat you."

"I won't give up, because you can't say 'I gave up' without 'I gay'," Yun Wuji said. He wasn't surprised by the hydra's regenerative powers. He'd been at it for a while now and knew what to expect.

He had teleported to the far north of the continent, searching high and low for a worthy Monarch rank beast. With difficulty, he finally found this fifth-level Sovereign Profound

Realm beast.

"Fool!" The hydra's seven heads opened wide in unison, and dark gray-blue beams of energy shot out from their gaping maws. The beams twisted and coiled like living snakes, leaving a trail of searing heat and smoke in their wake.

The beams were too fast, in a split instant they were already in front of him. Just as they were about to make contact, Yun Wuji vanished and reappeared on the beast's left side. He looked at the beast with a smirk and said, mimicking the hydra, "Nice try, but your attacks won't hit. Just give up and let me finish you off."

BOOMM!

"...ehhh?!" Suddenly, a long tail blocked his vision before he could react the tail slammed at him. The impact sent him crashing to the ground, creating a huge crater. Rocks and dirt exploded outwards, and a thick cloud of dust rose into the air. The ground shook violently from the blow, making the whole scene feel like it was trembling.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The hydra didn't plan to give him a moment to breathe. It knew how slippery this human was, so it wasted no time. The beast started smashing him with its heads and tail, attacking

relentlessly.

Out of nowhere, a flurry of sword lights shot through the air, slicing through the space around the hydra. They slashed into the hydra's necks, each one cutting deep and leaving bright streaks of light. The beast roared in pain as the lights cut through its tough scales and flesh. The sword lights kept coming, hitting the hydra again and again, making it howl and struggle under the relentless assault.

"Dammit, that hurts! I've been getting too complacent lately." Yun Wuji stared at his broken arm. Since arriving on this continent, the pressure had eased off, making him less vigilant and

more careless.

"Annoying human! Why can't just die?!" The hydra glared at the hateful human and roared. Its wounds started to heal, and in a few seconds, it was fully recovered. It was obviously stronger, but it couldn't land a solid hit. Now that its surprise attack had failed, it would be even harder to catch him off guard.

"..." Yun Wuji didn't respond this time. He took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, they were empty and cold. He looked at the hydra as if it were just a
