When Lu Xun walked out of the bathroom, he found that Song Xing Xing was lying on her stomach on their bed. Her hand was holding her phone tightly as she concentrated on playing the game on the phone.

Beside her, Mr. Fluffball lay down with his eyes closed. His long tails moved around lazily.

Seeing the scene in front of him made his heart grow warmer.

Lu Xun rubbed his hair with a towel and walked over. Hearing his footsteps, Song Xing Xing turned around to say something. However, the moment she sat up, her gaze fell on his abs.

The mattress sunk as he sat down. Mr. Fluffball opened his eyes and raised his head slightly. But once he saw that it was his papa, the fat cat continued to sleep.

"Are you sure you wanted to do it this way?" Lu Xun asked. The space between his eyebrows creased and he was staring back at her with worry.

Her expression turned serious when she heard his question. "Miss Shi has been provoking me again and again. I just wanted her to stop. Although what she had done did not affect me much, it was too annoying." Her head cocked to one side. "Are you worried about her?"

Lu Xun narrowed his eyes. "Of course, not." He stretched his arms and pushed a few strands of hair behind her ear. "I'm worried about you. I don't feel comfortable knowing that there are people who talked badly about you."

"They are merely strangers who had nothing to do with me," Song Xing Xing said. "Their opinion doesn't matter."

She did not care whatever Shi An Na wanted to call her. However, she did not like it when those people talked about Lu Xun. Moreover, Song Xing Xing knew that her family would worry.

This was her way to make her family feel more at ease.

Lu Xun was relieved upon hearing her words but this does not mean that he had stopped worrying. He knew well that a woman's reputation was very important. Those strangers might not know her but their harsh words could still hurt her.

"You don't have to worry about my family. I will talk to them and my Cousin Brother will help us. Besides..." Song Xing Xing flashed him a smile. "Didn't we agree that we will clarify this matter soon? When the truth comes out, they will stop talking about it."

His eyes darkened. "Are you sure? Xing Xing, you know well what does it mean when you come out as my fiance."

All this while, it was her who wanted to continue being in a relationship with him in secret. However, once she responded to the rumor, her identity as the young miss of a reputable family from Y City will be known to the public.

Although the major news portals had never reported this news, the rumors had gotten very big and were discussed among a lot of people.

The small fire that Shi An Na grew bigger.
