You're My Only Star

Lu Xun was in the middle of looking into a few documents when he heard someone knocking on his door. The door swung open after he permitted them to come in.

It took him a few seconds to notice that the person was not his assistant. He looked up and his eyes turned brighter upon seeing his fiance standing at the door.

The corner of his lips tilted up into a gentle smile. Lu Xun stood up quickly and walked over to her side. "You're here."

Song Xing Xing let him kiss her on the cheek.

Lu Xun knew that his fiance was still concerned about the news that has been circulating on the internet for the past few hours. Previously, they had agreed to keep their relationship from the public before their parents met.

Song Xing Xing was not a public figure and Lu Xun also did not want the reporters to harass her. If his girl got into the troublesome situation, his father-in-law would definitely be angry.

It was hard for him to obtain his father-in-law's permission and approval. Lu Xun was not going to ruin his happiness.

"Are you alright?" Lu Xun asked. He gave her a look over and finally breathed in relief upon noticing that she was not injured. "I heard that there were a few reporters outside."

Special Assistant Bei Yuan had already reported that there were a few groups of reporters waiting for him outside the building. They were all camping in a public area. As long as they were not here to cause a disturbance, he couldn't drive them away.

"It's fine." Song Xing Xing lowered her head to look at her outfit. "With how I am dressed, no one was able to guess that they were looking for me." She looked up again. "However, is it really alright for me to be here?"

Song Xing Xing wanted to head home and wait for him.

However, the guards had already called Lu Xun to tell him that a few reporters were waiting outside the residential area.

Song Xing Xing could only return to their place with a cab. However, no cab or unregistered vehicle could enter the residential area. The last time she came to the place with Song Yi, they still have to register at the guardhouse before they could enter the area.

If she returned alone, there would be a chance that the reporters might stop her to interview her. Therefore, Lu Xun had asked her to come to meet him at his office.

It would be safer for them to head back together.

"Rest assured. I have already arranged everything." Lu Xun stretched his hand to pat her head. "However, things will be a little troublesome for the upcoming days."

Song Xing Xing flashed him a smile. "It's fine. As long as you are beside me, I'm not afraid of a little troublesome thing."

His heart warmed. Lu Xun gathered the girl in his embrace and pecked at the side of her head a few times. The warm smile on his face gradually faded when he thought about the report he heard from Long Fei. Lu Xun was not surprised to hear that the culprit would be a good friend of Shi An Na.

Previously, when Anna had exposed his picture and Song Xing Xing to the public, Lu Xun had clarified that he was dating a non-celebrity.

However, the people on the internet were still making rumors that he was dating a celebrity and possibly one of the talents from his company.

Shi An Na was clearly trying to make Song Xing Xing uncomfortable and create a misunderstanding between them.

Song Xing Xing stood at the side and frowned, finding that Lu Xun's action was a little strange. Thinking that it must be an important call, Song Xing Xing decided to sit on the sofa and wait for him to finish.

"Lu Xun, if I found out that you are tricking my daughter, then you will have to bear for the consequences. I don't care who you are or whoever you have behind you. No one is allowed to hurt my daughter."

His lips pursed into a thin line. Although his father-in-law was scolding him, Lu Xun felt very happy that Song Xing Xing's family was protecting her this way.

He could see how much his Xing Xing was loved by her family. Lu Xun did not doubt that his father-in-law was telling him the truth. If he had hurt her, everyone would come to him.

Lu Xun spent a long time assuring his father-in-law that his team is already making plans to stop his rumor with a few celebrities from going on. When he looked up again, Lu Xun found that Song Xing Xing was staring at him in puzzled.

"Who was that?" Her fiance was talking to that person for a long time in a low voice, acting mysteriously.
