You're My Only Star

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Lu Xun asked as soon as he walked in. Noticing the way Song Xing Xing shifted her gaze between him and her cat made him feel a little uncomfortable.

Lu Xun thought that the smell of vinegar was particularly strong in the room. However, he quickly dismissed that thought. After all, there was no unnecessary rumor about him outside. He had no chance to make his Xing Xing jealous.

Of course, he would never think that Mr. Fluffball would be the reason.

Song Xing Xing narrowed her eyes as she looked at the fat cat. At this time, she was wondering just what it is that made her adopt this traitorous cat when he was still a baby.

When she did not answer him, Lu Xun walked over to his fiance with Mr. Fluffball still hanging on his shoulder. His arms wrapped around her waist and with a gentle tug, Lu Xun pecked on her lips.

The couple's moments were disrupted by Mr. Fluffball's voice.

Song Xing Xing turned around in time to see her cat kissing her fiance on the lips. Her eyes widened in shock.

Did Mr. Fluffball just kiss her man on the lips?

Wasn't Mr. Fluffball a male? Why did he always try to seduce Lu Xun? Could it be that he was possessed by a female fox?

Song Xing Xing's mind was running wild.

Mr. Fluffball stared back at his master with an innocent look on his face. "Meow." He did not think that he was in the wrong. He was only kissing his papa. Why did his master suddenly scold him?

Lu Xun watched this scene and chuckled. This situation was a little funny. The interaction between his girl and the cat was too cute. Lu Xun could not help but think that his life will never be boring with the two of them around.

The girl continued to stare at the grey cat as if fighting for her dominance.

After watching them for a while, Lu Xun stepped forward and wrapped an arm around the girl's waist. "Why are you fighting Mr. Fluffball?"

Song Xing Xing was flustered upon hearing his question. "It's fine if he wanted to kiss elsewhere. But not on the lips. It's unhygienic. Who knows where else did he rubbed his nose at?" As she thought about it, Song Xing Xing began to wipe her thumb on his lips again as if to remove any trace of Mr. Fluffball's kiss.

Lu Xun watched the girl in his embrace with an amused look on his face. With another hand, he gripped her chin, tilting her face towards him. His face lowered and he caught her lips into a kiss.

Song Xing Xing was momentarily confused at what was going on. It took her a few seconds to realize that she was being kissed.

Lu Xun only let her go when she became breathless.

Song Xing Xing took a step back and with a flushed look on her face. Her eyes were staring back at him in a daze, wondering why did she was suddenly kissed heavily.

A chuckle escaped him. "Didn't you say that these lips solely belonged to you?" His brow rose as he flashed her a teasing look. "I'll let you kiss me for as much as you want."

Her cheek turned red. It was at this time that Song Xing Xing realized that she has been fighting her cat for Lu Xun's affection.

All of a sudden, Song Xing Xing felt a little silly.

Why was she fighting against this stupid cat?

Sensing that she was embarrassed, Lu Xun decided not to mention this matter again. "Did you have fun shopping with your sister-in-law?"

Song Xing Xing breathed with relief when Lu Xun did not question her action. "Un."

"What did you buy?"

"Just this and that. Later, I already put everything upstairs. Later, let's look at them together. I'm not sure if your parents were going to like the gifts. My mom said it's better to bring along some local products. My dad sent a bottle of wine. He said to pass the gift to your father."

The two of them arrived earlier at the airport and waited in the VIP lounge.

Lu Xun was still telling her stories about his childhood when the phone in his pocket started to ring. His lips curled into a smile upon seeing the name on the caller ID. He swiped his finger on the screen and pressed the phone to his ear. "An Ran."

"Brother, your flight is today, right?"

Lu Xun glanced at the girl in his embrace and smiled. "Mhm... We're already at the airport. Our flight would depart in less than an hour."

"Then, I'll come over and pick you up at the airport."

A slight frown appeared on his face. Lu Xun was sure that he had discussed this matter with his sister a few days earlier.

When his flight arrived in C Country, his sister was supposed to go and pick up her son from school. He had already decided to grab a taxi. Why would she suddenly want to change the plan?

"An Ran, what is it? Tell me." His tone was normal. As Song Xing Xing was close to him, Lu Xun did not want her to worry.

Lu Xun listened to his sister's words on the other line and his expression gradually turned darker.
