You're My Only Star

When Lu Xun woke up in the morning, the sky has already turned bright.

He looked at his surroundings and then, his gaze fell on the pajama on his body. A frown appeared on his face as he tried to figure out just how did he return home and changed the clothes on his body.

Lu Xun seemed to remember that he had accompanied Song Yi for a drink as they discussed some business matter.

Initially, Lu Xun had no intention to drink too much. After all, he still remembered his father-in-law's reminder not to drink too much.

However, Song Yi had diverted the topic of their conversation to Song Xing Xing. Song Yi was a little drunk as he mentioned a few things about his cousin. In the end, he had mentioned a few matters that made him unhappy.

Lu Xun wanted to suppress his unhappiness and drink a little bit.

In the end, what happened?

In his memory, Lu Xun seemed to recall hugging Song Xing Xing outside the house. Then, the person who took him back and helped him back into this room should be her, right?

Lu Xun turned around and saw that the girl was still sleeping on the other side of the bed with her long hair covering half of her face.

Seeing that she was sleeping soundly made his heart go soft. Lu Xun leaned over to push the hair off her face. Then, he stared at her sleeping face for a long time.

His fiance was very pretty.

Previously, she would always worry about letting him see her face when she had woken up in the morning. It was him who had convinced her that she would still look adorable even with her hair sticking out everywhere.

Lu Xun leaned over to peck at her forehead.

Since the girl was sleeping soundly, Lu Xun was planning to let her continue and sleep. Although Lu Xun was confident that he would not cause a lot of problems when he was drunk, he still knew that Song Xing Xing was the one who had looked over him last night.

Just as he was about to get off the bed, someone grabbed his wrist, preventing him from leaving. Turning around, Lu Xun saw that the girl was rubbing her eyes with her free hand.

"You're awake." Lu Xun flashed a smile

"Un... Where are you going?" Song Xing Xing stretched up her body a little bit. "Sleep with me for a little while."

Meeting her gaze, Lu Xun did not have the heart to decline. He lay down on his pillow and soon, the girl leaned into him. Her head rested on his chest and she had one arm around his waist.

Lu Xun kissed the top of her head and hugged her tightly. 

Song Xing Xing raised her head and pecked at his jaw. Then, she continued to bury her head on his chest. "Why did you drink so much last night?" Song Xing Xing asked. Her voice sounded muffled as she was leaning into his chest. "What did you and Song Yi talk about?"

Lu Xun had a feeling as if the two of them had had this conversation before but at this time, he was not too sure.

"And don't say nothing because that's not true."

A helpless sigh escaped him. Lu Xun was pondering about what he should be telling her when Song Xing Xing pulled away from his embrace and meet his gaze.

"Do you want to know what you did last night?"

Lu Xun stared at her and did not answer.

Song Xing Xing still remembered how Lu Xun had hugged her tight and made her promise that she would not leave him. After thinking about it for a while, Song Xing Xing decided to mention what he had said and done before she could safely bring him upstairs and help him change his clothes.

Lu Xun had heard that he was obedient when he was drunk. Naturally, he was not surprised to hear her tale.

"What are you worried about?" Song Xing Xing asked again.

His lips pursed into a thin line and Lu Xun lowered his gaze. He did not plan to tell her anything but seeing the worried look on her face, Lu Xun then spoke. "Song Yi and I were discussing some business plans and I mentioned a project with Qiu Yang's company. As we were discussing, Song Yi mentioned that in the past, your mother had the intention to set you up with Qiu Yang."

Song Xing Xing stared back at him with her eyes wide. She did not expect that Song Yi would know about her mother's intention. But then again, it was not strange for Song Yi to know such matters.

"There's nothing going on between Qiu Yang and me," Song Xing Xing quickly explained. "Moreover, back then, we are still unfamiliar to each other."

"I know. But I still could not help to be jealous. I keep thinking of what will happen if you agreed with your mother's arrangement."

Her lips parted. Song Xing Xing wanted to say something but in the end, no word came out of her mouth.

"And then, Song Yi warned that if I dared to make you unhappy, he will introduce someone younger to you."

Song Xing Xing had heard him mentioning this matter last night. At that time, she had thought that perhaps Lu Xun was worried about their age gap.

"Don't listen to him. He probably said those words to play around with you."

"Song Xing Xing, I was unhappy when I think that you would leave me for someone younger," Lu Xun said. "I panicked."

His arms around her subconsciously tightened.

Lu Xun would always remember the day when Shi An Na had suddenly decided to leave him. Although he was confident in Song Xing Xing's love for him, he had panicked the moment he heard Song Yi's casual remarks.

Chatting with Song Yi triggered a bad memory.

When he thought that the same thing might happen again, Lu Xun felt his body grow colder. In the end, he had drunk a lot more than he should. When he drank a little bit, Lu Xun would show or say what was in his mind.

This was probably why he had hugged her tightly and made her promise not to leave him.

Song Xing Xing stretched her arms and cupped her hand on both his cheek, forcing him to look at her. "Lu Xun, who am I?"

Lu Xun stared back at her with a puzzled look before he answered, "Song Xing Xing."

"It's good that you know." Her expression turned serious. "Lu Xun, I am not your ex. I won't leave or hurt you as that person did, do you understand?"

He stared at her in surprise then his gaze gradually softened. "I know."

Lu Xun understood this. But this does not mean that he could stop worrying.

Song Xing Xing stared back at him for a long time before she hugged him again.. "Lu Xun, you're quite silly."
