You're My Only Star

In the beginning, the route was not so steep. The air was cold and fresh. Song Xing Xing could still walk around with a bright smile on her face, thinking that it was such a rare occasion for her to go hiking and enjoy nature.

However, half an hour later, Song Xing Xing began to wonder if waking up early to watch the sunrise was worth it. She really wanted to go back to her bed and hide under her warm blanket.

Song Xing Xing raised her head and watched her brother who was chatting with Long Fei in excitement. Seeing the way her brother was behaving gave her this feeling as if Lu Xun had planned this trip to D Town to entertain Song Wei.

"Tired?"

Song Xing Xing turned around and nodded. Her lips pouted slightly as she was acting adorable towards her boyfriend.

Lu Xun chuckled when he saw the look on her face. He placed his hands on both her shoulders and gave them a gentle squeeze. "Song Xing Xing, you can do it!"

"At a time like this, shouldn't you be offering to carry me on your back?"

"Hmm?" Lu Xun tilted his head to one side. "Didn't we agree to stand side by side and face danger together? Of course, when you're about to give up, I'll be right beside you and encourage you."

Song Xing Xing thought that the words she had heard yesterday gave her a different feeling. It was definitely as pleasant as the first time she heard those words.

Pursing her lips into a thin line, Song Xing Xing turned around and continued to walk forward. Suddenly Lu Xun grabbed her hand and intertwined their hands together. No matter what she do, it was hard to break away from him.

"We'll arrive in an hour," Lu Xun said. "Long Fei had already said that we'll stop after we reached the first peak. If you're tired, we'll rest here for a while, okay?"

Song Xing Xing finally nodded.

"Do you want to take a rest?"

"No. I'm fine. I can still walk."

His lips curved into a smile. He already knew that his girlfriend was not tired. It was just that, at a time like this, she would prefer to laze around rather than go out hiking.

"I have a question." Song Xing Xing spoke after a while. She looked at Lu Xun and asked, "If Song Wei did not tag along with us, would you still drag me out early in the morning to watch the sunrise?"

"If your brother is not around, we'll climb up just the two of us."

Song Xing Xing gave him a look over. "President Lu, I didn't think that you are someone who would enjoy an activity such as this."

"It's fine to go out like this once in a while. Moreover, I just wanted to look at the sunrise with you."

It was said that the sunrise represented the beginning. He had already decided to let go of his past and was ready to move to a new beginning with the person he was holding.

Watching the sunrise together felt very meaningful.

If only a certain lightbulb was not around as well.

As if knowing that someone was thinking about him, Song Wei turned around in time and waved his hand at the couple.

"Sister, are you alright? If you don't hurry we might miss the sunrise."

"You can go ahead first. I'll come over slowly."

Song Wei stood there in silence as he observed his sister taking slow steps to climb up. Beside her, Lu Xun continued to accompany her in silence.

"Sister, you're going to be a year older tomorrow. But why did I feel as if you are already moving like an elderly?"

"Song Wei, if you don't shut up, I swear to God I will beat you." She was doing her best to climb up and did not have the energy to fight her brother.

Song Wei laughed happily before he ran off.

Song Xing Xing gritted her teeth as she watched this scene. Her brother never failed to annoy her. She really could not understand how did this person had so much energy.

"If you want to, we can leave him in this town. Let him return on his own."

Song Xing Xing waved her hand. "It's fine. There's no meaning in fighting an immature kid."

Lu Xun laughed. He always thought that the siblings' bantering sounded very interesting.

After almost two hours of hiking, the couple finally arrived at the first peak. When they arrived, Song Wei and Long Fei were sitting on the rock, enjoying the scenery in front of them.

Hearing the movement behind them, Song Wei and Long Fei turned around.

"Sister! Come over quick!"

With a deep sigh, Song Xing Xing gathered her energy and walked up. As she arrived on top, Song Xing Xing took a deep breath and looked up.

From where she stood, Song Xing Xing could see the sky turn light orange.

Fortunately, they arrived in time to watch the sunrise.

The view was too breathtaking.

The atmosphere around them turned silent as everyone was enjoying the view in front of them. The only sound they could hear at this time was the sound of the birds chirping.

All of the sudden, Song Xing Xing felt something on her shoulder. She turned around saw a hand on her right shoulder. Just as she turned to her left, her lips were suddenly caught into a kiss.

Her eyes widened in surprise. Song Xing Xing grew panicked, thinking that her brother and Long Fei were still around. However, a certain someone only pulled her into a deep kiss. She did not dare to make a sound lest she would attract unwanted attention on them.

Fortunately, Lu Xun pulled away before someone noticed what was going on. He looked at the angry kitten in front of him and could not help but smile. He put a hand on her shoulder and rubbed her arms to keep her warm.

A sigh escaped him at the thought that things might be different if there were only the two of them at this time. It was a romantic scene but he was forced to share this view with another two men.

Lu Xun was not satisfied with this arrangement. He was slightly regretting his decision to let Song Wei tag along with them.

Fortunately, he had a backup plan. He only has to rely on Long Fei to help him later to distract Song Wei away.
