You're My Only Star

After their meal, the group took a walk around the place where Long Fei showed them around. Then, everyone returned to their room for a quick rest.

Song Xing Xing went through her luggage, and her gaze finally stopped at the garments that she had bought during shopping with Liu Yu Sheng.

Her movement halted for a long time. After a while, Song Xing Xing picked up the swimsuit and headed to the bathroom to get changed. Her swimming suit was a two-piece with a halter top and high waist pants. It was not overly revealing, and she liked the floral pattern on it.

After looking into the mirror for a while, Song Xing Xing finally put on a t-shirt and shorts.

As she was still deciding what she was going to wear tomorrow, someone knocked on her door again. Song Xing Xing glanced at the time before she walked over to open the door.

Lu Xun stood in front of her in his t-shirt and knee-length shorts.

It was rare for him to wear something like this. Song Xing Xing could not help but take a few more glances at him. He looked a lot more laidback and hot.

"Come on. Let's go to the lake."

Song Xing Xing nodded. "Un. Let's go and call Song Wei to come with us."

Even though she did not enjoy this light bulb's presence, Song Xing Xing knew that her brother would complain once he found out that they left him to have fun.

Lu Xun coughed. "Song Wei had already left with Long Fei a few minutes ago."

Her eyes widened. "My brother left?"

"Un." He nodded. "Your brother heard that he could ride a boat to go around the lake and said that he wanted to take a look. Long Fei is with him now."

Song Xing Xing blinked. "We're not going with them?"

During the meal, they had already agreed to take a swim around the place. Why did the plan suddenly change? 

"We're not going with them."

What is this? She also wanted to ride a boat and look around the place.

Song Xing Xing opened her lips to speak, but the words she wanted to say were stuck in her mouth when Lu Xun had grabbed her hand.

"Let's just go to the lake with just the two of us."

Her eyes lit up. With Song Wei's sudden decision to tag along, Song Xing Xing had already given up on being alone with just Lu Xun. She did not think that she would still have this chance.

Song Xing Xing grabbed a few things before the two of them left the courtyard.

Because Long Fei had shown Lu Xun the way around the place before, Lu Xun had no problem leading her to the lake.

The walking distance from the courtyard to the lake took around five minutes.

As they were walking around, Song Xing Xing took the chance to look around and snapped a few photographs.

She had expected that it would be difficult to get an internet connection in a small town such as this. It turned out that the internet connection around this place was good. She posted a few photos on her moments before she slid her phone back into her pockets. Her gaze stared at the big house on top of the hill.

Lu Xun followed her gaze and explained, "That's the Long family's residence. Long Fei's grandfather and parents are staying there. On our last day here, we'll go over and visit them."

Song Xing Xing did not ask more questions and merely nodded.

After walking around for a while, the two of them finally arrived near the lake.

Song Xing Xing looked at the blue lake in front of her and sucked in a deep breath. The scenery was just too beautiful. On the tree nearby, there was a swing facing the water. One could go for a swing and jump into the lake. On another side, there was a small shack with floaters and emergency kits.

It made her think that the Long family loved going on a swim around the lake a lot.

The couple walked to the wooden platform and Song Xing Xing looked into the water. The water looked calm, but Song Xing Xing's mind was going wild. At the edge of the lake, the water was still clear and transparent. But the water was darker and deeper towards the center.

She could not help but wonder what if there would be some predatory animals in the water.

"Is it safe to swim around here?"

Lu Xun raised a brow. "Are you afraid?"

"I've never swum in a lake before."

His gaze softened. "Long Fei assured that this place is very safe and clean. Nothing would go wrong with me around."

Song Xing Xing looked at her boyfriend and smiled. She raised her hand and poked at the man's chest. "President. Lu, are you good at swimming?"

Lu Xun lowered his gaze and grabbed the misbehaving paw. He met her gaze and did not miss the teasing glint in her eyes. "Didn't I tell you that there's a lake like this behind my parent's house? I used to swim in the lake a lot."

In fact, Lu Xun first met Long Fei around the lake behind his parents' house in C Country. Later, the two of them became friends and he found out that they were studying at the same university.

Lu Xun leaned over to peck at her lips. However, one of them was never enough. After meeting her lips briefly, he couldn't help but lean over to steal a few more kisses.

"Come on." Lu Xun stretched his hand at her, waiting for her to put her hand in his.

Song Xing Xing stared at his palm. This gesture... it was as if he was asking her to put her trust in him. Taking a deep breath, she then placed her hand in his.

The corner of his lips tilted up into a smile. Thinking about his plan, Lu Xun hoped that Song Xing Xing would repeat this scene again and place her trust in him.

Lu Xun clasped his hand around her tightly until they reached the end of the platform. Then he took off his shirt, placed it aside along with his glasses, and jumped into the water.

The lake water splashed on Song Xing Xing's face, making her annoyed. She wiped her face with her hand. When she looked up again, Lu Xun was staring back at her with his pretty eyes.

"Song Xing Xing, come in."

Her heartbeat accelerated upon seeing the scene in front of her. Song Xing Xing looked around the place before she finally took off her shirt. Her face turned bright red as she noticed the way Lu Xun was looking at her.

With her swimsuit on, she finally sat on the edge of the platform before she slid into the water.
