With one free hand, Lu Xun patted at his girlfriend's head. Seeing the happy look on her face made his fatigue fade away.

"Are you that happy to see me?"

Song Xing Xing was about to answer when she heard Mr. Fluffball's voice. She pulled away and lowered her gaze only to find that her love rival was trying to climb up her boyfriend's pants.

The grey cat saw that Song Xing Xing had stepped away and finally used his claw to climb up Lu Xun's body. Then, he rested his head on Lu Xun's shoulder.

"Alright, let's go in." Lu Xun lifted the bag in his hand. "I bought some snacks for you." He raised his head and saw that the house was a little quiet.

Usually, at this time, his girlfriend would be hanging around in the living room with Mr. Fluffball while watching television.

"Why is it so quiet?" Lu Xun asked. He turned to his girlfriend with an inquiring look. "Are you going to bed this early?"

As the word came out, Lu Xun began to worry about his girlfriend. He stretched his hand and placed his palm on her forehead. "Are you feeling unwell?"

"It was boring without you around. So Mr. Fluffball and I were planning to head to bed early."

His gaze turned warmer. "Sorry. These past few days, I was busy with my work. We didn't get to spend as much time together."

Although he was busy preparing for the surprise, Lu Xun realized that he shouldn't ignore his girlfriend.

"It's alright. " Song Xing Xing wrapped her arms around his waist. "I know that you are busy with work. It's just that... I miss you."

Lu Xun kissed her on the top of her hair and returned her hug. No words could describe the warmth in his heart at this time.

The couple was hugging at the front door until Mr. Fluffball came to nudge his paw on the bag that Lu Xun was carrying.

"Meow."

Lu Xun finally pulled away and led the two of them to the dining room.

Song Xing Xing's nose picked up the smell of something delicious and suddenly her stomach started to grumble. Her eyes lit up upon noticing the spicy crayfish. Her gaze shifted to the small bag at the side. Song Xing Xing took out the container and saw that steamed chicken breast inside.

A puzzled look crossed her face.

Song Xing Xing thought that the steamed chicken breast was a little random.

"This is for Mr. Fluffball," Lu Xun explained. "Last time we ate together, Mr. Fluffball seemed to enjoy this dish. Earlier, I passed that area and thought that I should get some for him as well."

Song Xing Xing watched as Lu Xun took out a bowl from the kitchen and poured the dish into it. Then, he took a small piece and fed her cat.

"You seem to treat Mr. Fluffball really well. Lu Xun, do you like him?"

The cat raised his head and stared at Liu Xun with a pair of bright eyes. No one knew whether he was waiting for Lu Xun's answer or another bite of that chicken.

Lu Xun chuckled, noticing that there was something wrong with her tone of voice. He stretched his hand and scratched the grey cat at the back of his ears.

"Mmm... I like him."

Song Xing Xing narrowed her eyes at her cat.

"After all, Mr. Fluffball is yours and he's as adorable as you."

Once she received another kiss from him, Song Xing Xing quickly forgot about her dissatisfaction with her cat.

The two of them sat around the table and Song Xing Xing began to eat her spicy crayfish. A soft sigh escaped her once the food entered her mouth. The food taste good especially because they were something that her boyfriend had bought and delivered personally.

As his girlfriend was eating, Lu Xun sat at the side and helped her to pour some drinks while feeding the cat at the same time. The two of them chatted about their daily life while having supper together.

The atmosphere between them was very harmonious. Lu Xun thought that this feeling was really good.

There was someone at the door greeting him warmly when he came home. He could really get used to these scenes.

"That's right, Xing Xing, have you informed Producer Ming that you will not be at work next Thursday?"

Song Xing Xing stared back at him in a puzzle. "Why wouldn't I be at work next Thursday?"

"Have you forgotten that it will be your birthday? I've promised you that I will take you to somewhere fun."
