You're My Only Star

As she was gathering her belongings, Song Xing Xing noticed the unread message on her phone. Her eyes lit up upon noticing that it was a message from Lu Xun's sister, Lu An Ran.

A few days ago, she had exchanged her contact number with her and the two of them have been communicating daily.

It was Friday night and Lu An Ran had invited her out to dinner and Song Xing Xing had agreed to accompany her to shop around.

Initially, they were planning to meet up at the shopping mall, Etoile which was not far away from the studio. However, Lu An Ran had surprisingly shown up at the studio and was now waiting for her.

After replying to Lu An Ran's message, Song Xing Xing sent a text message to Lu Xun to report her activity.

The man replied to her in a few seconds, telling her to have fun, and reminding her to be careful.

"Xing Xing, do you need a ride?" Liu Yu Sheng asked when they came out of the office together.. "Ning Yan and I are heading to your area as well."

Song Xing Xing was getting used to seeing the two of them together. Recently, the couple loved to try a different restaurant to eat at and would often offer to drop her off at her apartment.

"It's fine. A friend of mine is coming to pick me up."

Liu Yu Sheng raised her brows teasingly. "Oh? A girl friend or a boy friend?"

Song Xing Xing chuckled. "It's a girl." Her relationship with Lu Xun was still hidden and not many knew about it. One of these days, she should introduce her boyfriend to her friend as well.

Liu Yu Sheng narrowed her eyes, seeming as if she did not believe her word. In her opinion, the delighted look on Song Xing Xing's face was a little too suspicious. In the end, she did not say a word.

The two of them leave the studio together. Just as they were passing through the guard's house, Song Xing Xing heard someone call out her name from a distance.

Turning around, she found that Lu An Ran was waving in their direction.

Liu Yu Sheng followed her gaze and saw the stylish woman who was heading towards their way. "Is that your friend?"

Song Xing Xing nodded. After saying her goodbye, Song Xing Xing walked over to Lu An Ran and greeted her. "Have you been waiting long?"

Lu An Ran shook her head. "No. I just got here five minutes ago." She motioned towards the Volkswagon Beetle behind her and spoke, "Come on."

Song Xing Xing entered the passenger's seat and the vehicle entered the main road. It did not take them too long to arrive at Etoile Shopping Mall.

Once they found a parking spot, they decided to find a restaurant to have a meal at before they are going to shop.

After walking around for a while, the two of them finally decided on a restaurant. Fortunately, there was not a long queue outside and the two managed to get seated in less than five minutes.

Song Xing Xing looked around the place and remembered that she had visited this restaurant with Lu Xun previously.

At that time, she was walking around on her own and had coincidentally run into Lu Xun. Because she was attracted to the seafood dishes on promotion as well as the free dessert, Song Xing Xing had dragged Lu Xun to come with her.

Unfortunately for them, they did not manage to eat to their heart content as the reporters had suddenly arrived to find materials on Lu Xun.

In the end, they could only escape.

Now that she was visiting the place again, Song Xing Xing was planning to taste the food that she did not manage to taste previously.

Song Xing Xing snapped a few pictures of that place and send them over to Lu Xun.

Without waiting for his reply, the two girls began to eat and chat happily. Seeing that Song Xing Xing was really easy to talk to, Lu An Ran felt very relieved.

The two of them were in the middle of eating dessert when Lu An Ran suddenly stopped and put down the spoon on the table. "Xing Xing, do you mind if I ask you something?"

Song Xing Xing was still indulging in the taste of ice cream when she heard Lu An Ran's question. She looked up and saw the anxious look on the girl's face. Sensing that the subject might be a little heavy, Song Xing Xing took another spoonful of ice cream before she finally put her spoon down.

"Un. You can ask me anything," Song Xing Xing said. "If it is something that I can answer, I will try my best to answer."

Lu An Ran laughed with ease. "What do you think of my brother?"

She was not expecting that Lu An Ran would ask her such a question. Song Xing Xing's face turned a little red and she quickly picked up her spoon again and ate her dessert. "That... he is a good person."

Lu An Ran sighed. Her brother's girlfriend is an adorable person and she could tell that it would be fun to tease her.

"Actually, it's good to see the two of you together," Lu An Ran said. "My brother, he has been alone for a long time. We had all thought that he would not want to be in a relationship forever."

Song Xing Xing laughed. "I am sure that you are exaggerating. Your brother seemed to have a lot of admirers. It would not be hard for him to be in a relationship with anyone."

Before she had dated Lu Xun, there were already a lot of girls who were eying Lu Xun. If he had turned to look at them, they would be willing to be in a relationship with him.

"That's true, but among those girls, my brother had eventually chosen to be with you."

Hearing her words, Song Xing Xing became shy again.

Lu An Ran smiled. After a while, the smile disappeared and was replaced by a reluctant look on her face. "Then... Xing Xing, have my brother told you about his previous relationship?"

"I know." Song Xing Xing nodded. "I have met that person before."

Her eyes widened in surprise. Lu An Ran was not expecting that Song Xing Xing would have met that troublesome ex-girlfriend.

There was a complicated look on Lu An Ran's face. "How did you run into her? Did she cause you any trouble?"
