You're My Only Star

The vehicle pulled over in front of The Orchid Hotel in the middle of Capital City. As they were going to meet the President of the Zhang Group Worldwide, naturally, the meeting will be held at their hotel. 

Lu Xun walked around the car to help his girlfriend get off. While Song Xing Xing was holding to his arms, the two walked into the building together. 

When they appeared together, Zhang Yu Han's assistant, Xiao Ye, was surprised to see the couple together. He had met the two of them a few times and knew their identity. 

Xiao Ye quickly recovered the expression on his face and walked over to greet them. Even though he was puzzled as to how the couple got together, Xiao Ye did not bother to ask. He led the couple to the private room where his big boss was waiting for them.

As they were approaching closer, Lu Xun could feel his girlfriend's grip around his arms became tighter. A faint smile appeared on his lips. "Are you nervous?"

Song Xing Xing nodded. She was so anxious that she thought that she might pass out anytime soon. The smile on her face became stiff and she could not open her mouth to speak.

It would be better if Lu Xun's friend was a stranger like Celine. Meeting someone she knew only made her anxious. She did not know what will they think when they saw Lu Xun and her together.

The three of them stopped as they reached the door. Song Xing Xing inhaled a deep breath as Xiao Ye knocked on the door. The door opened and Xiao Ye stepped aside to let the couple into the room.

Her grip on Lu Xun's arms tightened. Her heart was beating furiously and Song Xing Xing lowered her head shyly.

"Lu Xun, you're here," Zhang Yu Han stood up and greeted. He exchanged a look with his friend before moving to the girl beside Lu Xun. 

Since the girl was still lowering her head, Zhang Yu Han was not able to look at her face well. It was just that… Why does it feel as if this person was a little familiar?

"Uncle Lu Xun!" Zhang Li Xue saw the face of the person she knew and grew excited. She jumped off her seat and ran over to the man with her short legs. Her movement halted when she realized that there was another person beside him. Zhang Li Xue peeked at the woman's face and her expression lit up. "Auntie Xing Xing! Why are you here as well?"

Song Xing Xing's face turned pale and her palms were sweating. The smile on her face became forced.

Meanwhile, Zhang Yu Han was shocked when he heard the way her daughter had addressed Lu Xun's girlfriend. He exchanged a glance with his wife before he turned to look at the girl again.

Zhang Li Xue seemed to recall the reason her parents had brought her to have dinner at the hotel. Earlier, her father had said that Uncle Lu Xun was going to introduce his girlfriend to them. Her expression brightened. "Auntie Xing Xing, are you Uncle Lu Xun's girlfriend?"

Song Xing Xing realized that she could no longer hide. She finally looked up and let out a nervous laugh.

The little girl was too smart. There was no way for her to hide.

Li Qin Yao was the first to snap out of this sudden news. Flashing an amiable smile, Li Qin Yao waved her hands to the couple. "What are you guys standing at the door for? Quickly, come over and have a seat."

Hearing her words, Lu Xun quickly led his girlfriend to the table. He looked at his friends and spoke, "Everyone, I'm sure that you have met her before. This is my girlfriend, Song Xing Xing."

Zhang Yu Han looked at his friend again before he quickly recovered his thought. Although he had a lot of questions he would like to ask Lu Xun, this was not the appropriate time. He gave Song Xing Xing a nod and spoke, "Have a seat."

Sensing that the girl was feeling a little awkward, Li Qin Yao sat beside Song Xing Xing and patted her hand. "Don't be nervous. We have known each other before. Just act like you usually do."

Song Xing Xing heaved a breath of relief upon hearing her words.

Meanwhile, the little girl kept watching Song Xing Xing for a long time. Then, she tugged at her mother's arms and whispered something in a low voice. Her mother explained a few things and the little girl's expression turned bright again.

Li Qin Yao whispered a few words to her daughter again. With a nod, the little girl turned to the side to look at her baby brother who was sleeping in his stroller.

The servers entered the room and started serving some food. Then, the group started to eat while chatting a little bit. After a while, Song Xing Xing began to get used to the situation and was no longer as shy.

Soon, both Lu Xun and Zhang Yu Han's conversation shifted to their business matter while Song Xing Xing chatted about her family in Y City.

Li Qin Yao watched as Lu Xun quietly put a deshelled prawn on Song Xing Xing's bowl. A smile curled on her face. After knowing Lu Xun for a few years, this was the first time that she had seen him in a relationship. Looking at the way the two interacted, it doesn't seem as if they were faking it.

After a while, the baby in the stroller started to cry.

Li Qin Yao checked at her son and found that they need to change his diapers. With the little girl pestering to follow her mother, Li Qin Yao then asked Song Xing Xing to accompany her as well.

Anyway, Song Xing Xing would only get awkward if she was to stay in the room with both Lu Xun and Zhang Yu Han.

As the women left the room, Zhang Yu Han turned to his friend and  asked, "How did the two of you get together?"

Lu Xun sipped at his drinks. "She worked for my studio. After running into each other a few times, I think we're both quite compatible."

"It's a surprise. I did not think that the two of you would get together." Zhang Yu Han said. "Did her family know?"

"It's still early and she did not want the others to know. However, her cousin, Song Yi already knew."

"He did not say anything?"

Lu Xun flashed him a mysterious smile. "He threatened me with this and that. As long as I don't do anything that will hurt her, Song Yi is alright with me dating his cousin."

Zhang Yu Han was not surprised that Song Yi would threaten Lu Xun. He had known Song Yi for a few years and thought that this man is a little strange. His way of doing things was also strange. However, his Granduncle Qi and his family seemed to have a little bit of respect towards Song Yi.

"The Song's family is a little complicated. If you wronged Song Xing Xing, I'm afraid that even I won't be able to help you."

"Do I look like such a person?" Lu Xun said. "I won't pursue her if I'm not sure about her. Yu Han, after Anna, there's no one else who had moved me like Xing Xing. I'm serious about her. I am not playing around and I'm not using her to move on."

Zhang Yu Han studied her friend's expression and saw the serious look on his face. He then heaved a sigh and decided to let the matter go. Although he was a little worried, he was assured that his friend knew what he was doing.

As long as they were both happy, that was all that matters.
