Chapter 93: Chapter 93: System's Fairness
A magical attack struck Elio with brutal force, hurling him several meters away from Varick and Lucien.
The air evacuated his lungs as he tumbled across the ground, his world spinning in a chaotic blur.

Meters behind, his elephant, now reduced to its original size, became intangible. Varen, Lotar, and Mordred had managed to break through its defense.
The elephant, without another mana injection, couldn't keep taking hits instead of its summoner, leaving Elio exposed and vulnerable.
"Stand back, it's dangerous!" Varen's voice resonated through the street, addressing Lucien and Varick. "That monster just killed three members of our family!"
Elio rose in an instant, his eyes blazing with renewed fury.
He knew it.
All these beasts were in it together after all. There were no innocents among them.
Three magical shots hurtled towards him. Varen, Lotar, and Mordred attacked in unison, determined to end this threat once and for all.
But Elio was ready. With a roar that seemed to shake the very foundations of the city, Elio counterattacked. A ball of ignited carbon, larger and more ferocious than anything he had created before, erupted from his hands.
Elio Mana: 4
The projectile devoured the Summoners' attacks as if they were insignificant sparks, heading relentlessly towards Varen.
Elio's lips curled into a bitter smile of satisfaction. Another trophy for his collection of vengeance.
Suddenly, a metallic sound resonated to his right. Elio's lance fell to the ground, bouncing and catching his attention with its characteristic clang.
'What...?' Elio's confusion lasted only an instant.
As if materialized from thin air, Fathoran appeared before Elio's attack. With a fluid motion, the Patriarch raised a carbon barrier. The defense disintegrated under the impact, but it had served its purpose.

The remainder of the attack struck Fathoran directly, but his three familiars remained unscathed.

Chaos erupted in everyone's minds as they struggled to comprehend what was unfolding. Fathoran's wound and the hole in his armor were closing, defying all their logic and expectations.
It did hit Fathoran's heart, right?
Lucien, having recovered, seized the opportunity to drag Varick away from the epicenter of the conflict.
Varen, Lotar, and Mordred watched with awe and terror, unable to believe that Fathoran had survived Elio's initial attack.
Selene and Raelar, freshly liberated from their icy prison, observed the scene with horror, their minds reeling as they tried to grasp the full scope of the situation.
Amidst it all, Elio stood, his body taut as a coiled spring ready to unleash its fury. His gaze locked onto Fathoran, disbelief and hatred burning in his eyes with an intensity that seemed to scorch the very air between them.
Fathoran straightened, his body still trembling from the impact of Elio's attack.
His System's Armor, a combination of the Summoner's Robe and the highest-level armor he had possessed for decades, glowed faintly as it repaired the damage.
By placing the armor over the robe, one can combine them by paying mana.
God personally gave him this information 100 years ago. No one else knew the secret of this armor, not even his closest allies.
His eyes bore into Elio, noticing for the first time the Summoner's Robe the young man wore. 'So he has surpassed level 5,' Fathoran thought, surprise and concern flashing across his face.
He silently thanked the fact that Elio seemed unaware of the possibility of further enhancing his armor.
The pain from Elio's attack still pulsed through every fiber of his being, but Fathoran was far from defeated. His total resistance still exceeded 80%, and as long as his head remained attached to his body, the System's Armor would keep him alive.
However, fury burned within him. How had the damned boy survived being thrown from the wall?
How had he obtained so much power in such a short time?
He himself couldn't survive down there, let alone make it back to the top of the wall...
And most unsettling: how had he acquired the fifth invocation? Questions swirled in his mind like a tempest. "Did he kill a million monsters? Impossible! Or perhaps..."
Before he could speculate further, Elio's movement caught his attention. The young Summoner extended his hand, and Fathoran felt the power of carbon responding to his will. Sharp, black stakes began to materialize around Lotar, who paled at the imminent threat.
"Lotar!" Fathoran cried out, his voice laced with concern.
Elio stood tall, his body still vibrating with the energy of his previous attack. The confusion over how Fathoran remained alive after being impaled by the lance quickly dissipated, replaced by a cold, calculating determination.
'If I can't kill you now,' Elio thought, his eyes locked on Fathoran, 'I'll end your legacy first.'
Images of what he believed had been done to his family flooded his mind, fueling his thirst for vengeance. A sinister smile played on his lips as he imagined inflicting the same pain on Fathoran's loved ones.
His eyes, burning with a cold fury, fixed on Lotar. The carbon stakes vibrated with contained energy, ready to converge on their prey.
Fathoran, perceiving Elio's intention, attempted to take control of the carbon stakes. His eyes widened in shock when he realized he couldn't. The elephant granted Elio a control over carbon that he couldn't match, not even with his decades of training.
The system that God called 'utopian' constantly proved to be unjust...
With a subtle movement of his fingers, Elio made the stakes close around Lotar. One of the sharp points grazed Lotar's neck, drawing a bead of blood that gleamed ominously in the fading light.
"Elio," Fathoran called, his voice laden with respect and warning. "Stop, let's negotiate."
"Silence!" Elio roared, his voice reverberating through the street.
"Enraging me further would be a mistake," Fathoran threatened, tilting his gaze as if trying to intimidate Elio.
"A mistake?" Elio's voice cracked for a moment, fury giving way to raw pain. "The mistake was trusting that you would protect the city. The mistake was believing that Lucien would fix a rotten system."
The stakes closed a little more, eliciting a pained groan from Lotar. Elio fixed his gaze on Fathoran, his eyes burning with a mixture of hatred and anguish that seemed to pierce through the very soul of the Patriarch.
"Tell me, motherfucker," Elio growled, his voice resonating with a force that made everyone present flinch, "what would you be willing to do to survive? To protect your own?"
