Unpredictable Marriage.

The betrothal gifts showed how much the Liu Family loved and valued Chen Lihua.

Imagine if the Public should get wind of this, I don't think they will be able to take the blow, especially for some haters lurking around with nothing to do, but hatred and envy in their hearts.

Chen Lihua was oblivious to what was happening as she dragged Liu Longwei into her room to open the presents she received from her engagement party.

She did that because she felt he needed to see the gifts given to her by their friends.

Liu Longwei knew it was her method of getting away from their morning workouts.

But nevertheless, he still compiled with her and allowed himself to be dragged into her room still in his sportswear.

He sat on the sofa comfortably. Inhaling her Vanilla Scent that was not difficult to notice in the room, he relaxed the more on the sofa as he rubbed his temples.

Then he looked at the woman who was trying to open one of the small gift boxes and asked, "This is one of your ways of trying to skip the morning exercise right?"

Chen Lihua's heartbeat increased a pace as she put on a serious expression on her face and turned to look at him, replying to him as she denied seriously, "Not at all. Am not that Lazy".

Liu Longwei smiled, "Good! Since you are not lazy, then we will do some exercises to keep fit once you are done opening your presents".

Chen Lihua bit her lower lips as she cursed him in her heart. She then dropped the present on the table. Putting on a fawning smile, she sat on the armchair as she tugged on his clothing.

She then agreed with his reason and begged him to let her off for that morning.

Liu Longwei smiled as he stared into those pair of helplessly pleading eyes.

His smile was taken by Chen Lihua as his approval, so she pecked his cheek and smiled happily saying, "Thank you Husband".

Then she got off the armchair and continued with unwrapping the gifts.

Liu Longwei saw how happy she was from just skipping the morning exercise and sighed.

But then, he started wondering when he who was so principled started deviating. He stared at Chen Lihua's back and came to a conclusion, 'She is the reason'.

Chen Lihua untied the ribbon and unwrapped the gift wrap, revealing a square-shaped black box with the imprint 'Rolex' on it.

Then she proceeded to open the box, revealing the dazzling 'Rolex GMT Master II ice'.

This wristwatch is made of white Gold and includes numerous diamonds everywhere you look. And by 'everywhere', I mean every inch of the watch.

"This wristwatch exudes luxury on its own. And I am sure this might have burnt a hole in the guy's pockets. And Rolex is my favorite wristwatch brand. OMG am so happy". Chen Lihua said with a smile as she showed the item to Liu Longwei, for him to see it properly.

"Oh, it's fine. At least they have wisdom". Liu Longwei said nonchalantly but still gave the wristwatch another glance.

Chen Lihua was almost tempted to give the wristwatch a kiss, but then, she changed her mind.

She closed the box and kept it aside as she proceeded to open other presents.

This time around, she picked up another Square shaped box. She opened the box, displaying a pair of emerald green jade bangles.

Immediately, she knew it was from Liu Longwei's friends.

She smiled happily and kept it away without trying them on.

Then she started to unveil the presents her friends gave to her.

She opened a big square-shaped gift Box to see butter-yellow Indian saree, and so with that surprise, she screamed happily and in shock.

She had her hands over her mouth as she screamed, almost startling the servants who almost barged into her room to know what was wrong with their mistress, if not for seeing her drag their Master into her room.

Liu Longwei was more composed because he was with her, and knew she wasn't frightened because she screamed out of excitement. So curiously, he leaned in to take a look at the content of the box while asking, "What's the matter?"

"My friends got me an Indian Saree. OMG!" Chen Lihua replied as she brought the clothes out from the box to take a good look at it.

Then she held the Silver blouse, on the other hand, to look at.

Turning the blouse to see the back, she discovered that it had no Zip or button, but had strings of thread. Then her eyes widened in shock.

She then began to wonder what they were thinking when they got her that style of blouse because she can't wear it herself without needing someone's help to tie the thread.

Then she took a peek at Liu Longwei who was looking at the clothing in her hand with furrowed eyebrows because he still could not understand the mechanism of what he was seeing.

Chen Lihua hurriedly folded the blouse and kept it aside as she placed the saree on her body and admired the color and beautiful silver embroidery on it.

Liu Longwei continued looking at her without a word.

So when she felt that she had admired the saree enough, she folded it and put it inside the box carefully.

She moved over to the next box, on opening it, Indian silver jewelry met her eyes. The jewelry included a pair of earrings, necklace, bangles embedded with some colorful gems, then some hair accessories to match the outfit.

Chen Lihua was so happy. She ranted happily to Liu Longwei for a while before opening the last gift box.

She saw different varieties of Indian sweets there, and this almost caused tears of joy to drip from her eyes.

She immediately picked one and put it into her mouth and savored the taste.

After munching it, she said to Liu Longwei with a creamy look on her face.

"My friends know me so well. Oh! I miss India right now".

She then offered Liu Longwei one of the snacks to taste. At least she remembered to give him a bite.

Liu Longwei shook his head, refusing to eat.
