UNLIMITED SPEED

Chapter 153 153. BEACONS

Noah's words startled everyone present, but when paired with the danger of the beast before them, it sounded possible enough for all the village heads to scramble.

A frown instantly appeared on Noah's face at that sight. Each person ran towards a different direction, putting enough distance between themselves.

Only at full speed did he have a chance at catching up to them. But the issue of knowing their exact positions remained. He couldn't see In the dark, and the whole place was surrounded by trees.

Noah made all these conclusions in less than an instant. His thinking speed, already didn't match his power level.

Not minding its growls, Noah slid of the panthers head, then quickly trapped Jon's trainees and the remaining three elders with his consciousness.

For some odd reason they had not fled. He could understand the situation of the three elders, their minds probably wasn't fast enough to react, but Enik and Delius were different.

His figure flashed between the duo's figures. Placing his hands on their shoulders, a chilling aura seeped out of his figure to interact with his audience.

"I'm only saying that once, whose side are you truly on?," Noah's voice rang out slowly.

He felt their bodies tremble at his touch, so he understood that his words had gotten somewhere.

No replies came after a few seconds, and he didn't hesitate to slide his hands down their arms and apply a powerful tug on them, resulting in the entire limbs being removed.

Blood flew everywhere, but he didn't mind. Before their screams could escape their mouths, he crouched and punched one of their knees each.

A crunching sound escaped those body parts, as their legs snapped forward abnormally. Their bones piercing the other side of their legs, causing them to stumble and fall.

He didn't want to kill them since he hadn't gotten permission from Jon to do that. But those light Injuries would prevent their escape.

Ignoring the shivering elders, Noah crouched in front of Jon. His voice ringing out immediately.

"The village heads are getting away. Do you have something I can work with?," He spoke.

Jon nod his head at those words, and a series of inscriptions flickered on his palms. His mouth releasing words while he continued whatever he was preparing

"During our fight I placed inscriptions on them in case of a situation like this," He explained.

"What do they do?," Noah enquired, curious.

A smile broke on Jon's face, "My work will speak for me," he muttered, then the shining lines and runic words rotating on his palms glowed brighter, but they suddenly died off, startling Noah.

Almost immediately the inscriptions disappeared, pillars of light shot towards the sky at different positions in the village, and an excited smile inevitably shone on Noah's face.

The event had shocked the escaping village heads, who noticed hundreds of inscriptions running on their attires and even parts of their skin, producing bright beams of coloured lights that stretched towards the sky.

Fear and confusion slammed their minds when they realized that they had become beacons, and they would soon be hunted down.

"Do something about your body already," Noah snorted after that show of Inscriptional mastery.

Jon immediately brought out a few bottles, and he immediately chugged down their contents.

"We'll deal with the village heads, while you sort out your family issues," Noah mocked him, before quickly shifting his gaze to ignore Jon's complaints.

Glancing at the panther that had not taken a step since they arrived. He felt her gaze land on him, and a foreign method of communication transpired between them.

He totally didn't understand how, but he felt he could understand the panthers growls and feelings, now that she wasn't enraged.

Low growls exited her mouth as Noah tried to communicate his desire to go hunt the moving beams of light, and he wanted her to also do that. He needed her help.

A frown soon appeared on his Noah's face. From what he understood, she felt reluctant to leave Jon alone, since his death could lead to hers, as they were already bonded by 50%.

'I promise, he won't die,' Noah spoke to himself hoping she would somehow understand him, and she did, since she straightened her back and shot towards one of the moving pillars of light.

Each stride she took caused the ground around her to shatter for multiple meters. Her mere steps; powerful explosions in their own right.

Noah felt a wave of pride wash over him after that weird scene. 'I literally just spoke to a magical beast,' Excitement bubbled in his mind, but he quickly focused on the mission a hand.

Applying a light pressure on the heads of the elders, Noah watched them pass out and he immediately dashed towards a red pillar of light, that looked to be almost outside the borders of Enil.

From his guess, the lights probably indicated their elements, since it would be easier to identify them that way.

His figure crossed hundreds of feet in seconds, and he soon found tier 2 cultivators running for their lives.

His consciousness expanded to its limits, then he applied his full mental pressure on them, causing their heads to explode into a bloody shower of brain matter and chunks of gory flesh.

Noah resembled the god of death simply moviy through the battlefield, and everyone around him died, except for the individuals dressed differently than the masses. He didn't want to kill Jon's people unintentionally.

His figure smashed through the gates' wall to arrive inside a cluster of trees just before getting to the hills base.

The pillar of light had stopped moving at this point, to probably face him, since his aura had never receded into his body. His monstrous potential was on full display.

Cudgel appeared in his grip, and a quick spin with his control over air caused the entire area to fall into chaos.

Trees left their roots, as Noah spun his staff. He had gotten that idea on the spot and quickly praised himself for following through with it.

His mind touched the wind currents around him, and hundreds of tiny blades materlized around him to barrel towards his target.

A powerful explosion resounded when the blades of wind collided with a static ball of orange flames.

The environment suffered that clash, and whole chunks of the ground disappeared due to it.

Noah arrived in front of an over 15ft tall and 8ft wide ball of flame. It didn't move from its position, and he could surprisingly still sight the pillar of light originating from within it.

"A defensive spell," Noah muttered. "Futile," he immediately concluded.

Raising Cudgel above his shoulder, Noah charged it with lightning affinity, and launched it towards the individuals defense, an action he shouldn't have taken due to its repercussions.

Noah instincts screamed, and he managed to jump backwards before an explosion of pure flames spread out engulfing an area of about 60m in radius.

The flames surprisingly flickered into a blue colour before returning to its orange radiance. Tree's within the blast radius directly turned to ash, a cavity just as large as the explosions' radius appearing.

Barely escaping the explosion, Noah stretched forth his right hand, and Cudgel shot into his grip, its bright figure crackling with long strides of electrical currents that touched the ground and burnt it. His attire even suffered from it.

Sending his consciousness forward, Noah found a badly burnt man laying right in the middle of the charred crater. His attire barely hung to his body, while big patches of his skin had gone black.

Sensing Noah's consciousness inspect his body, words quickly exited the man's lips in hopes to stop the monster before him.

"Stay back!," The individual shouted trying to crawl backwards, but mind reeling pain paralyzed him at that simple gesture.

[Mark]

[Race: Human]

[Title: Village head]

[Tier: 3(Lower)]

[Affinity: Fire]

[Level of danger: Unknown]

Simply checking to see the man's name, Noah raised Cudgel above his shoulder, and Mark began to plead.

"Please! I'm sorry! I swear I'll leave for good! Don't do this!," He tried to crawl, but kept getting reminded that his body was on the verge of breaking down.

With a cold expression, Noah sent Cudgel forward, impaling the man's head with impeccable precision.

The head exploded, and a orange spherical core immediately shot towards him, which he stored without a moment of thought. But the corpse suddenly disappeared.
