Chapter 146: Chapter 143: Call



[3rd POV]

Walking through the farm, as she plucked the fruits, Talia let out a low sigh.

It has been a little while since Talia had talked with Lois, and she had enjoyed the time relaxing at home, and doing some reporter work here and there, giving Lois information on a couple of Cults, and even some information on the Inverse Society, a cult ran by Ally Allston, a woman who wants nothing more than to merge with her Inverse World (the other dimension) counterpart, giving her a major boost in power. And through this, she'd get godlike levels of power, a level of power that even Talia would have to try a bit to defeat.

The Lucy Lane of this world was a part of this "Inverse Society" and was...causing quite the issues for Lois and the Gazette. All because she was one of Lois's major sources involving the corrupt and horrible actions of Ally Allston, but, she was also deep in the organization, and manipulated easily, causing her to turn her back on her sister, and publicly denounce what her sister had written. Considering Lucy was Lois's major source, it was doing a lot of bad to her reputation at the moment.

Talia wasn't paying too much attention to all of that, as she was more focused on just enjoying the Farm life, while helping Lois where she could.

Her own cult called the "Followers of the Light" had massively grown over these few weeks, as her clones continued to save people around the world, at a rate that far surpassed the Superman of his prime, even when he lived in Metropolis. And thanks to this, the cult was only continuing to grow larger and larger. Thankfully they weren't sacrificing anyone in her name or anything, but should it turn to that, then Talia would have to personally take care of them.

Plucking a strawberry from it's leaf, Talia smiled at the perfect shape and color of it. "Seems the magic has only continued to strengthen you little fella's" Talia spoke, noticing the increasing amount of magic inside of all her fruits and vegetables.

"How are they looking?" A voice asked, causing Talia to look behind her to find Hope standing there.

"Perfect, wanna try one?"

"Definitely" Hope said with a grin, before watching as Talia washed the strawberry and handed it to her. Taking a big bite of the juicy strawberry, Hope let out a pleased sigh at the perfect mixture of sweet and sour, and the juicy interior of the large strawberry.

Talia chuckled at her girlfriends reaction "I'm glad you like them. They're only going to continue to get better and better, not to mention more and more magical" Talia said, causing Hope to nod.

"I thought there was more in it. Feels like it's boosting my magic by a bit more than before, maybe 5-10% more?" Hope wondered, causing Talia to glance at the strawberry.

"Hmm, that is about right. And I expect it to get to roughly a 100% increase by the time the new year starts" Talia said, causing Hope's eyebrow to raise.

"100%? Thats a pretty big boost. Back in Danmachi that'd cause people to go nuts" Hope said, glancing at the strawberries, realizing that they were going to get even more helpful than she thought originally.

"Where's the others?" Talia asked, causing Hope to snort.

"Gaming. They're playing Smash and are getting crushed by Kara" Hope said, causing Talia to just smile, happy that they were enjoying themselves while she went through the farm and made sure everything was good (plus she needed to make sure the damn moles didn't come back).

"Well why don't we get in there and join them. I'd hate to not crush all of you at least once" Talia said with a smirk, causing Hope to roll her eyes fondly, as they made there way back into the house.

A little later in the day, Talia was sitting comfortably on the living room couch, the girls were playing some monopoly, while she was watching in enjoyment. While watching them, Talia felt her phone begin to ring.

'Lois? Let's see what she needs' Talia thought, before answering the call, still watching the girls play.

"Yes Lois?"

"Hey Talia, you have been doing research into the Inverse Society, right? And into Ally Allston herself?" Lois asked on the other end, causing Talia to respond.

"Yep, I know quite a bit about that woman and her cult, and the methods they use to recruit them, and show them the "Other World" or whatever it is that they do. Why do you ask?"

"I need your help. Ally Allston has been...doing some shady crap, and I want your help in taking her down, for good" Lois asked, causing Kara who heard this, to look to Talia. "Should be easy enough. There's tons of evidence of illegal shit in the background, be it their presence in the dark web, the method they use to show people the otherside, which involves basically dying, and a host of other things. Where should we meet up so we can plan this out?" Talia asked.

"My house, it's private and perfect for this. My husband can help us" Lois replied, causing Talias eyes to raise.

"Alright, and what of your dad? I imagine he's going to want to be involved considering who is in this group still" Talia asked, causing Lois to sigh.

"I-I don't know. I'll ask him, but I'm not sure how that'll go. He doesn't want to lose my sister, and he thinks that doing this might do that" Lois replied.

"Alright, I'll be over in a few minutes with Kara. I'll have some evidence I've gathered with me" Talia said, causing Lois to breath out, slightly relieved for the help.

"Thank you, Talia, really"

"No need to thank me, Lois. We're friends afterall" Talia replied with a chuckle as she gave Kara a small nod, causing her to go upstairs to get changed.

"I'll see you in a few minutes" Talia said, before they both said "Bye" and hung up.

"How long are you guys going to be gone for?" Clary asked, making Talia shrug.

"No idea, love. But I imagine it won't be more than a few hours. As even with all the evidence, actually getting rid of someone like Ally will be annoying for them. I'm also interested in those necklaces of hers, that allow her to gain so much power" Talia responded.

"So you're going to wait until they merge?" Hope said, causing Talia to nod slowly. "Yeah I think so. I'll let them merge then absorb all their power. That way the merge of this world and the bizarre one, will be stopped before they even happen"

The power the merged Ally Allstons had was immense, and Talia wasn't going to let that just sit there, so why not absorb the power for herself while also defeating Ally? It wasn't going to harm anyone, and will increase her own power by a decent bit. She still had the Eradicator and was planning on using that eventually too, should she ever get a Kryptonian subclass. Hearing Kara walking down stairs, Talia pecked Hope, Isabelle, and Clary on their cheeks, before speaking.

"Now, let's go see how to help Lois"
