Chapter 133: Chapter 131: An Awkward Conversation and Strawberries



[3rd POV]

"Sarah, can I talk to you for a minute?" Lana Lang asked her daughter, Sarah, who was sitting

across from the twins.

"This isn't going to go well, is it?" Clary asked with a mutter, causing Talia to nod.

"Definitely not"

"Whatever you wanna say, you can say it right here" Sarah replied to her mother.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Glancing at the twins, and then Talia and the girls, Lana sighed slightly before speaking "Do you wanna explain to me what happened back there?"

"What happened" Was that Sarah ended up quitting cheerleading, something that she had been doing for a while now, and something that her mother had been teaching. The two had a rather...awkward argument in front of everyone, which led to her quitting, and the current conversation between the two, that was about to get even more awkward.

"Isn't it obvious? I quit the team" Sarah replied, with a bit of an attitude, something that caused the girls to get very interested in their menu's.

"Mmhmm, you don't need to give me attitude" Lena replied, not liking the tone that Sarah was taking with her.

"Well you don't have to hover every single day" Sarah said, annoyed with her mother. The booth beyond the three was also glancing at them, as the father and son began to hear as the two spoke louder.

"Look, I'm just trying to keep you safe" Lana responded.

"Because you think I'm going to kill myself?" Sarah asked with an eye roll.

At these words, the twins both leaned back slightly, trying to not look towards either of the two. Talia and the girls were doing the same, as they grimaced at what was said.

"This is so awkward" Kara whispered, causing Talia to give a small nod.

"Okay, this is not the appropriate place to be having this conversation" Lana replied, noticing the reactions what her daughter said, got out of the boys across from Sarah. She was also right, as such a conversation was not something you talked about in front of two teenage boys, and in the middle of a diner.

"How many times do I have to tell you I am fine? Can't you just trust that and back off?" Sarah asked, her voice raising slightly.

"I know you're not telling me everything that happened" Lana replied.

Scoffing, Sarah spoke "That's hilarious, coming from the most full-of-crap lady in all of Smallville"

"Okay Sarah-" "No, you act like our families so awesome, when it's literally a dumpster fire" "Enough" "Dad sleeps on the couch every night. Sophie bullies all of the kids in her class, and you can't go to bed without taking a pill" Sarah spoke, borderline yelling.

"I said that's enough!" Lana said, raising her voice to get Sarah to stop. What she was saying was...true, but it wasn't something you say in public, where everyone can hear you.

"Look, grab your stuff, let's go" Lana added, causing Sarah to turn to her with a scoff, before grabbing her bag and getting to her feet.

Putting her hand behind her daughters back, the two walked to the door, as everyone stared, before the door opened, as a man began to walk in.

"Lana?"

"Not now, Clark" Lana cut him off, marching past him, daughter in tow. Turning towards the twins and walking towards them, the man's full face was shown, as Kara struggled not to show a reaction, as standing there was...

Clark Kent, aka Superman

"That might have been one of the most uncomfortable things I have ever witnessed in my entire life" Talia said to the girls, who all tried not to giggle at what she said. They were pretty much on the same boat as her, finding the situation to both be uncomfortable to watch, and to hear.

"So what do you girls want to order?" Talia asked, as she looked over the menu.

"Hmm, I was thinking either chilli cheese fries or a burger" Kara replied.

"I'm gonna get the chicken strips" Clary said.

"Burger for me"

"And I'm just gonna get a salad" Isabelle said with a shrug.

"You sure? You can order anything you want, love" Talia replied, causing Isabelle to nod.

"Alright then, let's get some of that grub" Talia said with a smile, as she motioned down the nearest waitress.

[The next day]

"Wow, when you said they'd grow quickly, I didn't think it'd be like this" Clary said in surprise, as she and the girls stood in front of lines of different fruits and vegetables, all of which were perfectly grown.

"Well you girls said you were okay with some magic being used, so I made the soil a lot better than normal ones, and the plants too. They'll give more nutrients than before, with nearly none of the negatives. Not only that, but they'll help build immunity to certain diseases and build up the immune system. And, they taste great!" Talia said with a pleased smile, as she popped a small tomato into her mouth, only to cringe.

"Blegh, I forgot I hate tomatoes!" Talia cringed as she swallowed the nasty tomato.

Giggling at her reaction, Isabelle asked "Can we try some? I want to see how good these are after magic was used"

"Hmm? Of course, I'm growing these partially for you girls, you know? Which ones do you want? The strawberries, tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, and zucchini are all done" Talia said, causing Clary to instantly reply.

"Strawberries! They're the best fruit in the world" Clary said, causing the rest of the girls to

nod.

"""Agreed""" They all said, causing Talia to just smile fondly, as she plucked a few strawberries and cleaned them off, before handing them to the girls.

They each took slow bites of the strawberries, which Talia was pretty sure was done to get her going, as they accentuated the way they wrapped their lips around them, with only Kara

eating it normally.

'Little minxes' Talia thought with an amused smile, as she watched them all sigh.

"Rao this is way better than what I was expecting! You definitely have to make some jelly with this! Or even a pie!" Kara said, as she bit into the strawberry again.

"Oooh, what about strawberry icecream?" Clary added, causing the girls to all look at her like

she was a genius.

"That please" Kara said nodding at what Clary said, while Talia just popped a strawberry into her mouth, after taking the leaf off of it.

"Oh wow, these are really good" Talia muttered, surprised by the taste.

'I am totally choosing a farmer class the second it shows up' Talia decided, as she realized it could be really fun, and plus it'd make some delicious fruits and vegetables, AND it could be useful for potions and such.

"Hmm, how about tonight I make some homemade starberry icecream with these, would you girls like that?" Talia asked, causing them all to nod rapidly.

"Could you leave some left over for pancakes in the morning?" Kara asked, causing the girls to soon look at her like she was a genius as well, causing Talia to look at her with a spirited

chuckle.

"Absolutely. Anything else you girls want me to make from these? Mattering on what it is, I might have to grow more" Talia asked, causing them to hum before shaking their heads.

Seeing this, Talia smiled and spoke.

"Alright, let's get these picked and then cleaned, shall we?"
