Chapter 614 The Strategist
Other than finding out whether his True Undying Essence was really called Carylon of Souls, or if he had a different type of True Undying essence- if something like that existed, to begin with-, Dilan had lots of things to do.
After fighting side-by-side with everyone, he got a rough understanding of everyone's combat prowess and their strong and weak points. That made things much easier for him because he wouldn't have to think about saving them at any given moment like that.
He could tell which opponents were easy to deal with them and which required some help.
"That's everything you could find out without getting found? Not bad…" Sven blurted out his thoughts when he listened to Victoria's report.
She had scouted the Tribe of the 12 Apostle's settlement and came back not too long ago with everything they had to know.
"More than thirty thousand Blood Orc Warriors, a little bit more than thousand Blood Orc Champions, close to…one hundred Blood Orc Shamans…and 12 Demi Gods who look like bigger versions of the Blood Orc Champions… that's less than expected but somehow a lot more troublesome than I could have hoped for," Sven continued to say as he took a look at the map Dilan had manifested with the help of Victoria's memories.
His control of mana was the best among everyone present because even Rory was not up to his standard. Thus, he was capable of doing things rather easily when others would have to play their entire focus on the same task.
Dilan added a few images and the number of monsters that awaited them in the Orc settlement. He kept his silence while Sven was thinking of a plan to eliminate the Tribe of the 12 Apostles without a single casualty.
That should be given but Dilan had given Sven a particular mission before the strategist began with the struggle of coming up with a plan to kill everyone.
"Because none of you has seen me fighting after I came back from my advancement mission, don't add me to your planning. Think of me as if I'm as strong as Siegfried…nothing against you," Dilan ruffled through Siegfried's hair, ignoring that his nephew didn't really like this.
He didn't want to be treated like a kid, but it was not as if he tried to prevent Dilan from doing anything.
"But I saw you fighting, and you were ama–." Siegfried responded to Dilan's claim, just for his Uncle to stare at him with a knowing smile.
"You saw me create a bunch of lightning bolts, nothing else."
Dilan's claim was a huge underestimation but Siegfried didn't say anything. He grasped that his Uncle wanted to see how much of a strategic asset Sven had become after he returned.
Sven was the only one, whose actual strength was hidden behind his commands rather than his abilities. Dilan knew that and he wanted to see for himself what a strategist at the fifth Tier was capable of.
"Each of the Blood Orc Champions we've encountered until now was extremely strong and their abilities were weird as well. All of them seem to be in possession of one or multiple abilities related to space distortion, but Dilan says that that's not the case. There might be a few other means to jump through space such as wandering through the shadows or a simple illusion that made it look like they jumped through space while they were actually too fast for anyone to see, neither can be traced in the fights against the Blood Orc Champion.
That means the biggest problem will be the 100 Blood Orc Shamans and the teamwork of the Orcs…" Sven said once again and Dilan nodded his head in approval.
He was pretty sure that the Blood Orc Shamans, or some of them, were in possession of a strong Spatial affinity. They used their intellect to test the strength of the invading Ascenders and to fool them with the use of their spatial affinity.
Dilan didn't sense any of the Blood Orc Shamans nearby from the moment they entered the Crimsonwood forest. That gave him a few hints about the Blood Orc Shamans' powers, or their trickery, to be precise.
"So you want us to kill the Blood Orc Shamans first? We can assault them with our combined powers and eradicate them the moment we invade their settlement!" Kathrine proposed, also understanding that the Blood Orc Shamans might be the biggest problem within the Orc settlement.
"You want to ignore the Blood Orc Champions, where each of them is as strong as one of you guys, and kill the Blood Orc Shamans, who can probably escape through teleportation the moment an enemy appears in their proximity? That won't work, you know…" Yvonne said, bringing back reality to her older sister.
Yvonne's mind was calm with the few pieces of information spread out in front of her, quite literally. The map Dilan had weaved in front of him was a near-perfect 3d projection of the Orc's settlement.
It gave them better insights into the situation and ways to imagine how to attack their settlement in ways they could have never imagined without the map.
"This won't be easy. Their numbers are not exactly something to be afraid of, but each monster is quite powerful. The least troublesome would probably be the Blood Orc Warriors. Most of them are only at the second or third Tier. Siegfried and Dilan would be able to obliterate them within minutes…" Sven said before he stopped for a second.
He glanced at Dilan with a wry smile as he lightly added, "I guess it's okay to plan you in the raid like this, right? They're just the Blood Orc Warriors, after all…"
Dilan just nodded his head before motioning Sven to continue with his train of thought.
Sven turned silent once again, his gaze focused on the 3D projection.
Meanwhile, Dilan's gaze turned to the treetop of a certain tree.
He lifted his hand in which Oricalm appeared in the Desert Eagle shape before he released a shot with a loud bang.
Everyone was startled for a moment but Dilan just smiled.
"Sorry, but I welcomed a guest," He said a moment before a large body smashed into the ground behind him.
