Chapter 93: Guardians Stationed
Chapter 93: Guardians Stationed
"Awesome, I'll summon from those banners later after gathering everyone," Aleron grinned.
He wanted to finish the task at hand and arrived at the Colosseum as he looked at the four thousand slaves who were slumped on the ground out of tiredness and exhaustion.
The other twenty-six thousand slaves were also in the same situation.
"It's time, Gachapi. Bring out the serums."
[Gachapi: Yes, Master.]
After a few seconds, Aleron teleported all serum vials, teleporting a vial to each of the four thousand slaves. Without hesitation, he forcefully injected the serum into them directly into their body.
In the next moment, the entire arena started filling with screams and roars of the four thousand slaves, waking up the other twenty-six thousand people as they saw a terrifying scene unfolding before their eyes.
But the noise didn't last much longer as their mutation into Xorgs finished quickly.
Aleron scanned them using Monitor Dome enveloping them and his eyes lit up. 'All of them have stats equivalent to Exceed-rank and higher.'
Each of them had 100,000 or higher in stats!
In exchange for losing further growth potential, all of them were turned into Xorgs.
Their Xorg mutation was related to their innate talents and affinity towards certain Arcane syllabuses.
'A direct control on limited individuals would be nice.'
Aleron randomly picked 50 of them and teleported them in front of him, their slave collars shining as patterns appeared on them with Aleron modifying them.
After a few seconds, he finished modifying the workings of their slave collars before something manifested in his hand.
It was a stone tablet with fifty slaves' names. Of course, he only gave them a number in place of names, like Guardian 1, Guardian 2, and such.
Of course, all of them wanted to scream and curse Aleron at the moment, but they couldn't speak as he sealed their voices. Aleron didn't want such noise from them.
"I don't know what all are feeling at the moment. Angry, helpless, despairing? I don't care. You've inflicted all those onto others, quite terribly at that, that's why you are here. This stone tablet can control you, not directly, but inflict you pain."
"The slave collars also won't ever be removed. The only way for you to get freedom is to protect the Nailzim city until you die protecting it. This is your punishment. Once you die, your souls will go to their natural destination as I won't hold them in my hell," Aleron said with a chilly smile. "You've been causing suffering to others, so now, you all will repent by protecting others until your death."
--
Aleron left Eldertide Archipelago and arrived in the Aurspec clan's mansion, teleporting right into the office room where Melkern Aurspec was working. He had become quite busy since Aleron had sent him two hundred thousand prisoners, all of whom had family members in the city and they all wanted to know the truth of their crimes.
"Looking busy, eh?" Aleron smiled.
"I am willing to do this work for my city thanks to you," Melkern said with a smile. "What brings you here, Young lord Ale?"
"The guardians are ready," Aleron said before he waved his hand and a portal briefly appeared before spewing out an Xorg. It was a two-meter tall humanoid with a blue crystalized body bearing flame-orange patterns.
Melkern was startled at the sudden appearance of the strange humanoid creature, but he was shocked when he felt its physical aura that was more powerful than Exceed-rank, "This..."
"Guardian," Aleron smiled. "Let's go a wider space so I can bring them here."
The duo left the room and arrived at the huge clan training ground behind the clan residency
area.
Aleron teleported all fifty of the Xorg Guardians he had formed into the group on the ground, greatly shocking and knocking the socks of Melkern and other powerhouses who had arrived there.
Lake's lips trembled, "T-They are all more powerful than Exceed-rank...or am I sensing their aura wrong."
"All of them have stats over one hundred thousand, so you are not sensing wrong," Aleron smiled and took out the stone tablet as it flew towards Melkern.
'Guardian 1, Guardian 2.... their health status...' Melkern was shocked.
"You can use this tablet to control them. Your command will be absolute as their slave collar's ownership is imbued in the tablet. Use them to keep this city in order and peace. If there's any external danger, use them first."
Aleron looked at the Xorgs as his eyes glinted, "They are tough and strong. The arsenal of their powers is limited, but those limited number of powers are still powerful."
"But what are these things?" James asked, appearing confused as he had never seen such creatures before.
"They are people with black marks. Since I had to punish them, I thought I might as well make use of them while inflicting punishment, just like how prisoners do labor work."
"This is their labor work until their death. I've mutated them and made them more powerful, though their lifespan is reduced, so they are bound to die. They will probably die after fifty or sixty years, but until then, make good use of them to do good at their hands."
...
After talking with Melkern about the prisoners and seeing that they were speedily and properly working to give information to the family of each prisoner about their crime, he was satisfied.
'I guess I don't need to stay in this city for two more days. We can depart tomorrow.' He returned to Eldertide Archipelago and looked at the remaining Xorgs as he fell into thought. "As for you all....hmm, this idea is good. There are many villages and towns that don't have big powerhouses and often get trounced by evil people. Having a single Xorg stationed can already give them protection."
After all, Exceed-rank powerhouses were exceedingly rare! Most of the kingdoms didn't even have them while these Xorgs were more powerful than Exceed-rank in terms of stats but weaker than Primeval-rank powerhouses.
'Gaah! I need to get more powerful. If I can envelop this entire continent within my Monitor Dome, I can instantly station these Xorgs at various villages and towns and even teleport whenever and wherever I want.'
'Or...should I actually try and see how far my Monitor Dome can spread?' Aleron thought, his eyes sparkling. 'I have unlimited Magilore, after all.'
