Chapter 104: Sinister Presence In Academy, Changes
The wings Aleron conjured for the carriage were fast. Despite the distance of a thousand kilometers, the journey would end in three hours.
During these hours, Aleron was constantly working and stationing the Xorgs while marking people for Xorgs to contain them.
He didn't have time to expand on that right now, but he would later send subordinates.
After three hours, the carriage finally arrived in the Central Lightdusk region of the continent and Rias called out softly, "Aleron, we are here."
Aleron nodded while his eyes constantly flashed as he was finishing up the last few of the places on his radar.
All in all, he stationed Xorgs in over a thousand villages and three hundred towns on the way! He was only left with around forty-two Xorgs!
[Gachapi: Master, I had already started creating the serums since we departed, so we can make more.]
'Good.'
Aleron finally stopped his operations as his eyes returned to normal. However, he had vertical dizziness immediately.
Just as his head was about to be tiled down on the sofa, Risa's thigh appeared there and cushioned it as sat beside him.
"Take some rest," Rias smiled and caressed his head with soothing medium cool mana. "You are working too hard."
Aleron mind was getting dizzy and he really wanted to close his eyes and rest, so he let out a small "Mhmm" and quickly fell asleep.
The carriage flew towards the Lightdusk Academy steadily as the floating guards who had winged-horse mounts let them pass through after seeing Roxen.
Roxen meant that Princess Rias was here and as a top student of the academy with favor from the principal, Rias's influence was strong here.
Away from the Empire, she had built her fame and network here.
Of course, in front of power, all of it was merely dust and she perfectly knew that. But in this world populated and run by the weak, she could make some gears move here.
Roxen directly parked the carriage in Rias's private courtyard in the vast academy's most private and magic-rich area only given to the top 10 students of the academy.
Meanwhile, at the most luxurious courtyard known as Star Shattert two kilometers away,
Inside a closed aesthetic wooden blue pavilion, a handsome man sat cross-legged in meditation wearing a plain loose robe at the center of the room facing a large open window showing a small planted forest of bamboo and other plants.
The young man looked mature and muscled with a thin beard, but he was 22 years old.
As footsteps rang nearby, his eyes slowly opened.
"Draven, she is back," said the possessor of the footsteps, appearing in his early twenties with short green hair and a thin body frame but a powerful legendary aura.
Draven calmly got up and nodded, but his eyes were sharp and fairly cold, "Let's go."
"You're really gonna make a move in the secret realm?"
Draven shot a glance at the green-haired boy, "Neel. Shut your mouth or I'll forever shut it." Neel wryly smiled, "My bad."
The duo left the pavilion with walking haste as their figures blurred and soon arrived at Rias's courtyard.
However, in Draven's body lurked something sinister. In the depth of his eyes flashed a dark violet glint while a raspy thick voice echoed in his head. 'You just want to control a woman, right?'
'Do that, and I'll help you,' Draven replied to the voice.
'You better hold your promise or I will fill your mind with despair and regret. My brother is dead and I don't sense the demonic continent's seal anymore. If you want to survive the upcoming turbulence, you can't afford to piss me off.'
Draven's expression slightly darkened before returning to normal. 'I know. Give me her, and I will give you the Divine Clay Heart of my clan. Once I give you that, you must also hold the second part of your promise.'
'I already told you, your clan will be under protection even if the war starts. Demons obey me even if they don't know me. Because we have the power to control them forcefully due to racial hierarchy.'
"What brings you here, young master Draven?" Roxen raised her eyebrows as she got off the carriage.
Draven and Neel walked toward the carriage while Roxen opened the door and looked at Rias, "We have guests."
Rias frowned.
"Where is Rias?" Draven asked as he arrived at the carriage and looked inside. However, his pupils shrank immediately upon seeing a young man of similar age sleeping on her thighs.
'It seems the woman you want already has someone, bwahahaha. Though it wouldn't matter with me here.'
"Keep your voice down," Rias created a barrier around Aleron's head with her hand gently on Aleron's forehead. She placidly looked at Draven outside the carriage through the door and replied in a light voice containing a firm tone. "Come later if you want to talk. I am busy right now."
Draven greatly held back his fists from clenching as he didn't want to show anything on the surface. The voice inside him laughed and spoke, 'I can control her right now if you want to, but that could be risky for you, haha.'
Draven didn't heed the voice in his head. "Alright," he indifferently nodded at Rias and turned around as his figure vanished.
"Umm..." Neel didn't know what to say and just awkwardly looked at Roxen for a second before following Draven.
As they arrived at their courtyard, Neel quickly said, "Draven, is he her candidate?" "Doesn't matter," Draven replied before he sat back in the pavilion and closed his eyes. "Keep an eye on their movement. She will find out about the new changes in the secret realm
opening soon."
"Alright," Neel nodded before he left, his mind filled with thoughts. 'Draven seems a bit changed. Why does he want to make such a big move on Rias suddenly?'
Neel remembered Rias and the tone along with that young man and felt tumultuous in his heart, 'it felt like she cared greatly for that guy. Maybe the Star Flower of the academy is no
longer single.'
