Book 2: Chapter 8 (6/9)
Dorgan wasnt wrong when he advised Jaane not to loyally love someone who is dead. Kains ex-girlfriend, Sofia Verardi, had married Kubas Urvor, a tenth-tier warrior, one of the Admirals in the West Navy, through an arranged marriage set by her parents. Jaane and Kain weren't in a relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend, if Sofia can move on to marry someone else, Jaane should do so as well. Sofia wasnt a talented magic caster, but she managed to advance into level 31 of Legend-tier at the age of fifty-one after seventeen years of marriage.
Who do you think you are butting into my personal affair like that? Kain is alive! Even if Kain is dead, you will never be able to compare yourself to him! Jaane wanted to yell that out loud into Dorgans face but she controlled herself from doing so.
After swallowing her anger, Jaane said, Guild Master, I thanked you very much for saving my life today. However, I dont want to discuss my personal affairs. Please respect my decision. Jaane bowed again toward Dorgan to show her respect and appreciation.
Such a stupid bitch! Dorgan cursed Jaane out of his mind for daring to reject his marriage proposal. Even so, Dorgan maintained his fake smile and said, I understand. Please pardon me for my rudeness earlier.
Their original plan was to return to Vucran city first but then Dorgan Lanik and Jaane Almos located a safe spot to rest to recover their mana pools. After three hours of resting, they returned to the goblin tribe and finished them all in order to complete this quest.
Flumen city, Bifjorkian Theocracy. Inside the Meeting Hall of the Mages Council. The Holy Mage, Gwenn Bigham, gave a list of all suspected Blood Mages to all the Lords of Colors.
After giving the Lords enough time to read the list, Gwenn said, Lords, I summoned you here today because the names you see in the list I just passed out are suspected Blood Mages. After twenty fours years of investigation, we have located where the Blood Mages Guild is.
Oleos Fosnes, Leader of the Purple asked, Where is this Blood Mages Guild located, Holy Mage?
It was secretly built underground near Erbi city of Sungaria Kingdom.
Just give me the command and my Purple will make sure all of them will die tortuously.
Wrenn Fasketel, new Lord of the Red, slammed the table and said, Nonsense! The Blood Mages Guild was suspected of being responsible for Lord Vonda Hardys disappearance. The Red should be entrusted with the task of killing the entire Blood Mages Guild for revenge.
Lords, all of you will be entrusted with this task. Gwenn quickly explained to prevent Oleos and Wrenn from getting into an argument.
With all due respect, but are you saying that all Lords of the Colors will team up to take down this Blood Mages Guild? Gerda Mork, Lord of the Blue asked.
Not all Lords, Lord Clerico, and Lord Donoghan will still stay in Flumen city to assist me in dealing with the suspected Blood Mages. We must interrogate them before placing judgment on whether they are Blood Mages, or work for the Blood Mages Guild or not.
I believed that I would be the leader for this attack on the Blood Mages Guild. Am I correct, Holy Mage? Lord Fasketel asked.
Beside Lord Clerico and Lord Donoghan, only Lord Fasketel had reached level 100 in magical training. Therefore, you will be the leader of this attack.
I thanked you for your trust, Holy Mage Bigham. Wrenn nodded his head to show appreciation for Gwenn's trust in letting him lead other Lords of Colors to battle.
Lord Dasha Vaelbe of the White, Lord Larissa Krasnaia of the Black, and Lord Bohdan Brish of the Green, do you have any question? Gwenn was wondering why they have been remaining silent since this meeting started.
Dasha, Larissa, and Bohdan looked at each other to see who would like to answer that question. Bohdan sighed and said, Holy Mage, we are ashamed of letting Blood Mages recruited into our Colors. From the list of names that you have shown us, White, Black, and Green have the most suspected Blood Mages. We deserve no rights to speak in this meeting.
Noe got angry and slammed his hand on the table as he said, Even I made a mistake. One of my most trusted associates, Executioner David Bodwyn, is a Blood Mage. Do you think that I feel good about it? We have found out before they could put any actual ruins on the Mages Council is what really matters. Blaming yourself or feeling ashamed wont change anything.
Kath said, Lord Clerico is right. Even some of my trusted members are suspected of being Blood Mages. You guys just needed to clear the Blood Mages Guild from existence and let us interrogate the suspects.
The next day. Each Lord brought three hundred (300) Master-tier members, one hundred (100) Legend-tier members, fifty (50) Legend-tier Executioners, ten (10) Saint-tier Executioners, and twenty (20) Saint-tier members. The total of a thousand eight hundred (1800) Master-tier members, six hundred (600) Legend-tier members, three hundred (300) Legend-tier Executioners, sixty (60) Saint-tier Executioners, and a hundred twenty (120) Saint-tier members teamed up together then headed to Erbi city of the Sungaria Kingdom. People were amazed but confused as none of them had any idea why the Mages Council decided to send these many powerful magic casters to a small nation until they arrived at Emberun, the capital city of Sungaria Kingdom.
Because this battle will be conducted inside the Sungaria Kingdom, the Mages Council sent a confidential letter to the King of this nation letting him know about it. Of course, they didnt tell the King anything about the Blood Mages Guild and lied to him saying that they were hunting down a powerful Rogue Mage who was last seen near Lastown city. Lastown city is close to Erbi city and was built in the same direction as the Northeast from Emberun city, capital of Sungaria Kingdom. The Mages Council doesnt know if the King of Sungaria Kingdom allied with the Blood Mages Guild or not, that was why they didnt want to tell him the truth until everything was over.
Following the map given to them by the Holy Mage, they have located the underground access believed to be where the Blood Mages Guild was built. Lord Fasketel shouted, Today we will avenge Lord Vonda Hardy by executing all Blood Mages on the spot! Everyone, lets kill them all! Wrenn casted [Flame] spell to melt down the hidden steel door to the underground secret hideout of the Blood Mages Guild. Because of his powerful Fire Magic power, Wrenn melted the steel door using [Flame] in just five seconds. Members of the Blue quickly casted [Ice Barrier] spells on themselves and others to protect them from any unsuspected attacks from the Blood Mages.
