Book 2: Chapter 4 (6/8)
Long story short, it had been more than two thousand years since Kain joined the Timeless Dungeon. Kain finished the ninth quest and was waiting for Iris to appear to him again to deliver the tenth quest so he can complete this tier and move on to the next tier of the Timeless Dungeon. Princess Phyrra and Rolanda have died of old age since over nineteen hundred years ago. Nearly five hundred years ago, Kain broke through the barrier of Legend-tier and advanced into level 51 of the Saint-tier.
Now, Kain is currently a level 62 Saint-tier magic caster and he is also a Second Stage Saint-tier Warrior. The humans of this realm went from five million population to over a billion and they converted a small city into a giant country containing fifty cities. Each city could hold at least twenty million population. Kain was no longer just a hero, but he was considered as a living God for these people. They created a giant golden statue and a palace reserved just for him. The Bersk family is one of the biggest families in the country and they were considered God-kin people. Even though the human population has greatly increased, the threats of the Demons invasion have never stopped.
Iris finally gave Kain his last quest for this tier. That was to kill the Demon King and wipe out all demons from this realm. Kain immediately accepted the quest and headed out alone to start hunting the demons. Less than five years after that, Kain killed the Demon King who was even weaker compared to a ninth-tier warrior, and completely annihilated all demons from this world.
Iris appeared in front of Kain and said, Congratulations on clearing the First-tier of this Timeless Dungeon. Your rewards will be based on your Elemental Soul. Since you have a Blood Soul, you can choose one of the following rewards: A Blood Pendant, five Blood Rings, or fifteen Magical Blood Stones.
Did you just say Blood Pendant?
Indeed, I did. Do you want to receive it as a reward? Or would you like to hear the rewards for other Elemental Souls as well?
Please give me the Blood Pendant.
Granted. You will now be transported to the Second-tier.
Kain was then transported to the Second-tier of this Timeless Dungeon. He was excited to finally get out of this realm and move on to fight stronger monsters. Too bad, Kain appeared to be transported to another human realm just like the First-tier. Except, this time it wasn't just a small city but a huge civilization.
Kain looked at Iris and asked, Did the Watchers run out of ideas or something? Why was I transported to another human realm? Do I need to defend them from the demons again?
No, this time is different. Remember the small human city that you have saved in the First-tier? This is them again but three million years later. The population has grown to be more than sixty billion people. There is no more demons invasion that is how the people here can live a peaceful happy life. It was all thanks to you, Kain Bersk.
Okay and? Kain knew Iris wouldnt transport him here just to show him this.
And now the Watchers had given you a quest to complete the Second-tier.
Alright, what kind of quest is it?
Kill every human living in this realm. All sixty billion people. Slay them all and demolish their civilization.
Kain laughed out loud and stated, Hahaha. I knew it! In the First-tier you wanted me to help out the humans from being annihilated by the demons. I even have to marry two women who later gave birth to my children. You wanted me to build up a strong connection between them and myself by constantly defending them from the demons invasion and train their city guards into soldiers. I have lived with them for at least two thousand years. Normally a sane person wouldnt want to massacre all the humans of this realm because of all the sympathy bullshit they had for them. But I am not a normally sane person. I am happy to kill them all.
Very well. You may now begin your quest. Good luck in every way. Iris disappeared after she wished Kain luck.
Kain thought it would be an easy task, but he was wrong. The humans here are much different compared to the First-tier. Their weakest warrior was at last fifth-tier and the strongest warrior had even reached the Third Stage of Saint-tier Warrior. However, it seems like no warrior accomplished to reach the Fourth Stage of Saint-tier Warrior yet. Therefore, Kain could still manage to massacre everyone in just under thirty years. To be actual, it was fairly easy because Kain could continuously wipe out city after city using [Vampire Lord Transmutation]. As long as there are humans to be slain, Kain can convene as many vampires as he wants through [Blood Extricate] and [Convene Vampires] spells.
Iris appeared in front of Kain again and gave him a list of rewards to choose from. Kain chooses a magical robe embedded with six Magical Blood Stones, six Magical Conjurer Stones, and six Magical Black Stones.
I didnt have to use any of my self-created Saint-tier magic spells yet. I hope the Third-tier of this Dungeon could have a strong foe that made me use it. Kain thought to himself as he was being transported to the Third-tier by Iris. After being transported to the Third-tier, Kain could hear the voices of Iris advising him about the quest, Your quest is to survive in this realm for a hundred thousand years.
Hmm? A room? No, a cave? Kain asked himself as he opened his eyes widely and couldnt see anything due to the pure darkness surrounding him. Kain casted [Conjure Fire Demon] and commanded it to cast [Flame] to create some light. The first thing that Kain could see was a giant slamming his fist toward him. Kain immediately dodged the punch from the giant but his Fire Demon was killed in an instant.
Kain thought, My Fire Demon is not weaker than a level 50 Legend-tier magic caster, but it was killed in just one hit by this giant. Finally, I have met a strong opponent. Let me see how long you can last!
Kain casted [Demon Anatomy V] to transform himself into a flying demon wearing full platinum armor wielding a flaming greatsword. Kain decided to continue using the flaming aura instead of changing it using [Aura Adjustment]. Because the flaming aura could help Kain see things better in this dark cave.
Kain smirked and taunted, Stupid giant, show me what you got. Kain then flew toward the giant and attacked it using his flaming greatsword.
