Book 2: Chapter 12 (12/12)
Book 2: Chapter 12 (12/12)
Kain couldn't believe what he had just heard. He asked Iris to make sure, Did you just say a Magical Portal Key?
Iris nodded, smiled, and said, Indeed, I did.
The Portal Key that can open any portal connected to any planet in the lower realms?
Yes. You can use it once every hundred years.
There are only three Portal Keys in Toria Continents but the Mages Council kept them all. This is the fourth one and it will be under my possession.
Yes. If you become a God-tier, that Magical Key can open any portal connected to any planets in the higher realms as well.
After Iris gave Kain all the rewards. Kain immediately drank the Life Potion. If Kain ever dies again, he can choose to revive himself within one year after his death. This Life Potion was priceless, Kain wouldnt want to give it to anyone.
Kain put all other rewards in his Magical Storage Ring and said, Im ready to get the hell out of here.
Iris said, I wont see you again, but good luck in your journey.
Yeah yeah Im ready to leave.
Please close your eyes. I will teleport you back to Toria Continents.
Kain quickly closed his eyes and he could feel his body was floating in mid-air. A few minutes later, Kain felt his body become normal again. Kain opened his eyes and saw he was standing inside the Magical Forest of Redkeep city. Even though only several hundred years passed in Toria Continents, Kain had been living for millions of years in the Timeless Dungeon. Despite having a good memory, Kain looked around and saw the Magical Forest was completely different from what he remembered but it was still quite as it should be.
Kain whispered to himself, Watcher Tykan, I have the Portal Key now. Would you please help me to travel to the realm of Thunder Eagles without being killed by Watcher Sivna?
As expected, Watcher Tykan could hear his whispering. Tykans voice appeared in Kains head and said, I was just lying about that. Finwe is perfectly fine. He is still hiding in the mountains like he always did.
Kain bit his teeth in anger because of being lied to by Tykan, but he shook his head to clear all negative thoughts and asked, Will you help me travel to that realm without being killed? I wanted to give some of my rewards to Finwe.
That was also a lie. I cant save you from Watcher Sivna if you come to that realm.
You, lying bastard! Kain angrily screamed.
Sensing how angry Kain was, Tykan waited for him to calm down and said, You can send Evienne Lucifuge. She is your Soul-Bound Creature now and must help you when needed, right? As long as you dont instruct her to kill anyone there, Watcher Sivna wouldnt mind since you didnt directly disobey her punishment.
Kain thought about it for a few minutes, then said, If I send any other conjured creatures, they may steal the rewards I wanted to give to Finwe. But Evienne is a Devil Warrior so she cant even use magic. Evienne wouldnt steal any of the rewards I wanted to give Finwe. Plus, Evienne is strong enough to protect those rewards without killing anyone in that realm. Such a good idea.
Kain casted [Soul Bridge] spell to conjure Evienne Lucifuge and was about to give her the High-tier Advancement Potion, one Soul Advancement Stone, then ask her to take it to Finwe. But then Kain heard Tykan's voice as it said, "I disagree. You should instruct Evienne to find Finwe and bring him back to Toria Continents then give the rewards to him yourself. It doesn't matter if Evienne is your Soul-Bound Creature or not, don't trust anyone completely."
Hearing that, Kain thought, Despite being my Soul-Bound Creature now, I still don't know much about Evienne Lucifuge. Watcher Tykan is right, I shouldn't trust her with those precious rewards.
Kain thought about it again for another two seconds and said, Watcher Tykan, thank you for your instruction.
Anytime. Glad that I can help.
Watcher Tykan knew Evienne wouldn't steal any rewards Kain wanted to give to Finwe, but he still instructed Kain not to completely trust Evienne. It was because Tykan wanted to create trust between Kain and him, allowing Kain to follow his instructions more and more instead of letting Kain make decisions for himself. Every time Kain doubted his decisions, Tykan gets closer and closer to successfully manipulating Kain into the dark path.
Kain then instructed Evienne to travel to the realm of Thunder Eagles using his Magical Portal Key to help Finwe travel from that realm to Toria Continents. Finwe didnt want to live in that realm anyway, so its better if he comes to Toria Continents to be with Kain instead. Evienne didnt know the difference between Finwe and other Evolved Thunder Eagles, but she could always communicate with Kain using the permanent abyss chained between them. In that way, Kain could help Evienne to identify who was the real Finwe.
After Evienne opened a portal to the realm of the Thunder Eagles and walked in. Kain casted [Conjured Imreia] and said, I need-
Imreia immediately refused despite didnt know what Kain wanted her to do, she said, No.
You didnt even hear my command yet.
It doesnt matter. The answer is no. Im busy. Banish me back to my realm. My tribe is currently at war. They needed me there.
Okay.
Kain banished Imreia back to her realm and casted [Conjured Fyre] and commanded, Fyre, I needed you to guard this portal. Except for Finwe and Evienne, kill any Thunder Eagle or Evolved Thunder Eagle walk through it. I will notify you when Finwe and Evienne are about to walk through the portal.
After hearing Fyre acknowledged his command, Kain flexed his Vampire Wings and flew out of the magical forest toward the Sungaria Kingdom and attempted to visit the Blood Mages Guild.
Hmm? Demi-Humans? Isnt this the Commonwealth of Krorg? Why are there Demi-Humans here? Humans? Why are they being chained? Kain asked himself those questions when he saw over ten thousand Demi-Humans were leading at least a hundred chained humans toward the West.
Before landing in front of a Bear-kin Warrior, Kain concealed his Vampire Wings and jumped down from the sky. Kain put on a smile and attempted to ask a question but that Bear-kin Warrior immediately attacked him despite Kain trying the best he could not provoking it. Kain calmly stood still letting that Bear-kin Warrior repeatedly attack him using its bear claws for approximately three minutes. After that Bear-kin Warrior calmed down and backed away, Kain said, I have a question.
The Bear-kin Warrior saw all of his attacks were useless on Kain as it created no injury on him, he shouted, There is an alien here! Attack him!
Other Demi-Humans have been watching that Bear-kin Warrior attacked Kain but they didnt interfere because they thought Kain could easily be killed. Kain started losing his patience and threw one powerful kick onto the Bear-kin Warriors head, creating a loud explosion as the entire body of that Bear-kin Warrior exploded.
Kain was surprised by that as well because he was only intended to decapitate Bear-kin, not causing his entire body to explode. Kain looked at his hands and legs then thought to himself, Did I somehow surpass the power of an Eleventh Stage Saint Warrior? No, that cant be possible, can it? Perhaps this Bear-kin Warrior was too weak? Yes, that must be it. I have learned the Eleventh Stage is the highest a Saint Warrior can achieve. If I transform into a giant demon using [Demon Anatomy III], then it made sense if my power increased to be stronger compared to other Eleventh Stage Saint Warrior, but I haven't transformed yet.
Like Watcher Tykan has said before, Kain could gain more access to his power if Kain surrenders his souls to him and allows him to possess Kain's body. Even so, Kain wouldn't be able to gain that much access into Tykan's vast power since it could break the balance of the lower realms. The Creator would definitely take action against Tykan when that happens. It's fun to play with Watcher Zorim about destroying planets, but it's stupid to break the balance The Creator had set. Watcher Tykan wouldn't be stupid enough to risk losing his position as one of the strongest Watchers in all universes. End of Volume 2.
