Chapter 284 284: Part 1: Territory Defense V
Dealing with Raven Nightmoon was not as easy as Cole would have wanted it to be. The guy was currently still their hostage and they had already sent demands to his family to facilitate his release. And while the negotiations had been rocky, especially seeing as they could not get the authorities involved due to the nature of Raven Nightmoon's capture. Cole could possibly skirt getting in trouble, but Raven would have been looking at upwards to 10 years in prison.
And yet the fucker had still aligned himself with traitors in order to deal a blow to Cole. It seemed he knew about the perma death effect. The denizens and darklings of the northern Glade could kill them all in both this reality and back in theirs. He wanted to kill Cassandra and Razor, and perhaps even Cole too if the corpse woman had proven to be strong enough to match Cole's strength.
But instead she had given a warning, and quite a powerful one it was. She showed that she could just easily walk into Cole's house and kill everyone and everything he loves. This was to prove and show just how powerful the force behind her was, and Cole will absolutely take them seriously. There were hidden powers in every floor, now he has come face to face with one of them on the third floor. But dealing with them would be easier said than done, as Cole returned to the entrance of his territory he looked closer, with just a glance he was able to pick out six people amongst the massive crowd that did seem right to his perception, and probing deeper gave him the same impression as what he had received from the denizens.
*Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!*
They were all dropped in seconds by Cole, shocking everyone by his ferocity as the earth beneath their feet began to shake. The moles desiccated as whatever illusion had been making them appear normal vanished and what was left behind were corpses, not zombies, or undead of any sort, these guys seemed to have been animated in some way, Cole could feel a link between them, a quickly glance at his notifications let him know that he had slain a [Blood Thrall] he chuckled, it seems like he was dealing vampires and necromancers now, or at the very least something similar.
The shaking continued as trees began to grow around them and the entrance of the territory vanished. The trees then growing seemed be pushed back to another direction as all of the people in front of the territory suddenly found themselves outside of it, or outside of the Glade itself. The golden barrier that used to be over the Glade was now over Cole's territory, and then just as they noticed the barrier, it winked out as a basic wooden wall six foot tall was all people could see around and the entrance to Cole's territory.
[Glade Solitude Has Been Claimed And Absorbed Into The Territory Of Cole 'World Breaker' Raen Night! All Prior Upgrades And Buildings Have Been Removed. Purchased Lands Would Still Remain Under The Ownership Of Their Respective Buyers And A Commission Of The Total Sum Spent On The Purchase Of Land Has Been Delivered To The Master Glade Solitude.]
Cole could almost hear the sound of Gold coins dropping down into his account. But still not everyone had been able to buy land from the system, which means many people have been left homeless now. It didn't matter to Cole though, but still he could not have these people running about, especially since he seems to be dealing with an Enemy that might be practicing Necromancy. He would be offering up a small army if he should ignore the Aspirants without land in his territory.
"Those Of you without lands can pay rent to live in the apartment complexes being built. You are all welcome to be a part of my territory but only if you pull your weight, or at least don't get in the way of people who do. The taxes on resources would be reduced to 10% of everything mined and 10% off every sale you make of anything and I mean anything at all within the territory. Those of you who are willing and want to join my guild or change their race to Raen are welcome to do so, though Guild membership would require extensive testing before you can be admitted.
Also for the foreseeable future I would advise all of you to not leave the territory, the enemy we're facing is more powerful than anything any Aspirant or Denizen has faced up until this point. A certain level of unity is required to make sure you survive this, now I can't be bothered to give a shit about a lot of you, but all who live in my territory will be afforded my protection without fail, as long as you do not interfere with my goals. With that said and done, I bid you all a welcome to Raen Valley, as of this moment, Glade Solitude is no more." With that said Cole turned and his eyes met Thunder-Jack's.
"I guess in the end you still got what you wanted." Cole said to him as he moved forwards, and all Thunder-Jack gave in reply was a bow of respect and gratitude. Cole sighed and shook his head before patting him on the shoulder and stepping into his territory proper, he would have to restructure the entire thing again, and make arrangements for more expansion…..because whether or not those Northern Glade freaks liked it or not, he was taking control of the entire greater valley, and nothing would stop him, especially now that the fuckers had made it personal.
That was a mistake he would not let them forget about any time soon. Either since the Glade had now become a personal territory, the original Interface would not work anymore and since Cole's territory had now effectively taken the position or rather have been elevated to such a position, it's own interface would also experience a few changes of it's own, and once Cole got to level 100 or when the Incursion is complete, the interface would change again. But regardless Cole was going to level his territory, beef up it's defenses and attack, he needed to be ready for the northern Glade. But before then, he still had to hunt down every last mole in his territory. And this part…. This part he was going to enjoy very much.
