Chapter 262 262: Part 1: The Glade Wars VII
The fifteen minuets that Cole had to keep a hold of both the core and the territory was child's play for him. At this point it was almost as if he was an adult bullying children. His appearance had wiped out all of the darklings, allowing more people access into the western Glade. However it was all akin to throwing eggs against a rock, they did not even get the chance to come close enough to Cole as Neral pretty much left holes in many of their bodies before they could even get past the pillars.
"Well that's another rather anticlimactic end don't you think Neral?" Cole asked as the cyber dog shrugged his shoulders in response. There was quite a lot for the both of them to think about anyways, for Cole it was the notifications now hanging at the edge of his vision. He wanted to check, because he felt and knew that it would be significant, but he had to be focused on what was in front of him.
[Glade New Deron Has Been Conquered By Aspirant Cole 'World Breaker' Raen Of Glade Solitude!]
[Absorb New Glade As Part Of Glade Solitude Or Part Of Territory?]
[New Glade Has Been Absorbed As Part Of Territory! All Prior Upgrades And Buildings Have Been Dissolved And Reverted Back To Its Origin State.]
The moment Cole saw this notification, he immediately cost a sense of wrongness. Space seemed to fold into itself as reality fractured for a bit. He felt himself move, or rather the very earth itself, And he was still standing in one place. And everything happened in a single moment, as if he had blinked and opened his eyes And everything had changed. And indeed that was true, because Cole suddenly found himself at the entrance to his territory.
The valley that his territory encompassed was big, but compared to the valley outside that's bordered by the glades, his territory still had much ground to cover before it could grow like that. It was massive, it took him a whole forty minutes to get to the western Glade, and that was saying something as even when walking, Cole was really fast, perhaps three times as fast as a grown man's walking speed.
Now though his valley, Raen Valley seemed to have exploded in size. The pillars that made up a Glade were now actual pillars or they were still just rockets that now surrounded his manor, a shabby piece of architecture over a well structured land. A house in the middle of a garden as the flowers that fill a Glade were spread all over. But unlike the glades that had a variety of color, the flowers here were in shades of blue, purple, black and red. Those were his colors, And it was as if it was the colors of a flag, perhaps it's time he worked on a guild emblem.
The farm land was still the same, but it was now to the west, along with the orchard, a significant distance away from the house and in an area that could still be expanded upon to make the orchard and farm bigger. The forest bordered the farm, having grown larger, the same could be said for the rocky area that held the mines and former darkling nest, now it was on a cliff face a few ways up an incline.
The sheer magnitude of it's expansion baffled Cole, and this was just from getting one Glade, there were still two more to grab a hold of, and then the prize that was at the middle of the massive valley they were all in. Cole needed to figure some things out, and frankly speaking he was quite in a good mood for it after seeing just how much his territory has grown. Neral gawked, if at all such a thing was possible for him as the cyber dog turned round and around in abject shock and excitement over the change, there was just so much space.
"Boss let's go get the rest of the Glades!" Neral said as he spun around multiple times as if he was chasing his tail. Cole nodded his head, with all of this in sight, his greed for everything else just came up, he couldn't and wouldn't let anything go, he was sure the entire geography had experienced a significant change.
He raised up the map for his territory and realized that it was now showing him the places he has been outside of Glade solitude. Now the entire area that had been under the Western Glade's control, were now massive green denoting it as his territory, while the piece of land between both Glades had been swallowed by Glade Solitude, making it a part of the Glade proper and increasing the size of the dome to covert the entirety of the new territory.
One thing that was advantageous was that the new influx of land still needs to be purchased, but at the moment it brought with it a lot of natural resources that the people of Glade Solitude can exploit and harvest. It would mean Cole would not see the large influx of resources he has been getting recently, but at the very least it would shut some mouths up. He was tempted to perhaps buy up more land, but the way he saw it there was no use, he already had enough and was going to get more.
Ultimately he was going to see these Glade Wars to the end, the end of which means he would be the one in charge of the entirety of these areas. He got the feeling that after this there would be a larger world exposed to him, but in the end it was more territory for him to build the fortress that he was waiting for, he could see that the wooden fence covered his entire territory now, And frankly speaking Cole did not even want to see measurements for his territory now, what he had was as big as either a large town or a small city. It was time to move on to the next, a territory the size of Manhattan can no longer be called a territory, it'll be a kingdom.
