Chapter 155 155: Epilogue II
Cole idly noticed the arrow tower and spike walls that surrounded the Glade, somehow they too had begun to expand, following the fields of green grass and beautiful flowers as they spread out into the area that used to be the forest. Honestly Cole would have loved for them to remain where they were, kind of like a way to make an inner city for the elites while the forest and whatever territory that comes next would be the normal areas. Never the less Cole has lived most of his life being an elite and some of it being a nobody…. Perhaps walls between the privileged and those not as privileged is not the right thing to do for new world or new universe order.
Everyone was busy, and from the looks of things it seems as if the Glade had gotten a few more aspirants. Either way everything was a process and everything had a method. Cole noticed that all eyes were on him as he marched his way towards the nearest pillar. The quest that had been given to them should be complete by now, Cole felt that's what the rest of the notifications were about. He wanted to be close to the pillar and make sure that he could take care of everything at once. As soon as he got to the pillar he sunk deep into the notifications waiting for him, ignoring everybody else.

It was weird, the quests changed, maybe not but much, but enough for Cole to realize that everything that he has been doing so far has had a little bit of foul play in it. But ultimately all of the quests had been completed. This Glade, everything that he has done so far was all a part of plan. Everyone here as annoying as it was to realize meant nothing. They were all just cannon fodders as the system, or whatever the fuck was that being he had come in contact with had moved things to make sure that Cole ended up here. But there were rules to follow and frankly speaking he would never have been to clear this floor without all of these people…..maybe that was being to humble as he would have beaten the darklings with time and about a dozen or two levels ups.
But that would take time, way too much time. But in the end it was still a fight and burden that was foisted onto him, and others were dragged in. A lot of the people here had lost a life or two if not more to the floor, and while Cole couldn't exactly say that it was harder than the other two floors, he had to say the darklings made the entire experience somewhat horrific. It was like being in a horror movie or something and Cole really didn't like that, but that was not the end of the notifications as what came next was a system announcement.
[CONGRATULATIONS TO GLADE SOLITUDE AND ITS MAYOR COLE 'WORLD BREAKER' NIGHT FOR DISCOVERING THE PATH TO THE FOURTH FLOOR]
[Every Glade able to Discover Their Path to the Fourth Floor would be able to return back to the third floor and continue development of their glades. The land purchase and acclimation menu will not be available at your Glade's architecture guild. The home management menu will now be open to all who have successfully purchased or owns land of their own. Also all previously owned land can now be added to your Glade's territory after purchase of a land. Everything you own would be in one place an accessible to you from any floor. Collapse of the third floor would only be imminent for Aspirants and Glades who have not found the path to the fourth floor.]
There was a rumble felt across the entire glade as the pillars all began to move, all of them going on to converge right at the middle of the Glade where they all combined together into one big diamond pillar with millions of glowing lights on its form, all of them twinkling and moving from one side to the next. Cole moved closer, along with every other person who was in the Glade, however the notifications or rather system announcements themselves were not over yet.
[+1000 Glade Points To Glade Solitude For Being The First To Find The Oath To The Fourth Floor! +500 to all stats for all Aspirants]
In all honesty to Cole everything just seemed like it just got a whole lot more complicated. His original plan had been work hand in hand with these people and then get the hell out of town once it was done. But with the third floor now being accessible and him being the mayor it meant that he would still have to deal with all this shit…. Not unless he did something about it. Cole smiled and the makings of a plan began to form in his mind, sure some people might hate him or call him a coward or they'll just overlook it and take him back should his path every lead him back to this place but ultimately he did not want to be tied down, at least not yet.
And yes building something here would be to his advantage and he would not be loosing out on it. But too much responsibility when he is not ready for it would cause problems for him. And it might seem rushed but honestly every single floor so far has been annoying and at the end of it all, Cole could not just wait to get to the next floor and leave all of the bullshit behind himself.
"Glade Solitude! We have done it!" Cole called out loud, making sure his back was to the pillar as he addressed everyone. Not that this moment needed a speech, but it would help so that they wouldn't notice what he was doing, and he also did not want somebody else to be the first to the fourth floor by taking the initiative to touch the diamond pillar. There was still a standing order of rewards given to the first person to get to the next floor, he wanted it this time. Plus it was about time he expanded his repertoire of skills, to round up his abilities once for all, but of course that would be after a little training.
"It hasn't been easy and a lot of us have had to give our precious extra lives just to see that we got to this place. I'm grateful for the trust that you have placed in me and I hope to earn it even more as we progress across the floors. Ultimately we are now all in this together and will have to do great things with one another, and in light of that I would like to decree that from now on, Glade Solitude would be led by a council of 7 voted aspirants. At the moment you Have me, Cassandra, Janus, Farida, and Thunderbolt-Jack. Which means elections will be taking place for our final two members that of course are not Raven Nightmoon or any one of his lackeys." There was a cacophony of laughter at that, Cole nodded his head.
"We will grow! We will thrive and we will survive. And in light of that all questions and everything else that should be taken care of would be handled by the other council members. And as such it is time for me to say…. Hasta La Vista SUCKERS!" maybe it wasn't so necessary for Cole to say that, but ultimately he was a bandit at heart, the was able to etch the looks of fury on both Cassandra and Farida's face as his back touched the pillar and he was swallowed….Cole knew for sure he would never forget it…. Or what came next.
