Chapter 190 – That… didn’t sound half bad (1)
Lu Mingzhe’s classmate greeted him through the glass window. When he was ignored, he ran outside of the coffeeshop to yell at Lu Mingzhe.
“I was calling for you from inside the entire time!” The teenager by the name of Xi Ru grumbled.
Lu Mingzhe had heard him, but his expressionless look betrayed no guilt whatsoever.
Seeing that he was chatting with his classmate, Lin Yiyi handed Meng Shanshan over to him to watch over before she went inside the supermarket by herself with a shopping cart.
Following happily behind her was Boss Lu.
Xi Ru looked at their backs a few times.
He spotted the four of them as soon as they walked out of the elevator. The entire family was way too attractive in appearances!
“That is your little uncle, right?”
Seeing that Lu Mingzhe had nodded, Xi Ru mumbled an “oh” before he carried on, “Then, that’s your little aunty?”
Nowadays, Lin Yiyi always had shades on when she left the house.
She didn’t like doing that, but she had no choice. Never mind that she had always been bashed in the past, she made the most trending list twice not too long ago and had been identified by others in the middle of the streets several times.
Okay, that wasn’t a big deal. But then they’d ask for her signature!
Okay, even that wasn’t a big deal. At least not enough to irritate her..
Then there were these two unfortunate and oblivious girls who rambled on in front of her and told her how much they loved Meng Yan, her ex-husband.
Alright, so they loved Meng Yan, whatever the heck did that have to do with her?
They then went on and asked her to say hi to him for them!
She worried that she would not be able to control herself but would start shouting at him if she had called him up. She hasn’t even settled the scores with him over the incident over her two children last time!
She was much safer now with her shades on!
Xi Ru wasn’t able to see her face clearly as half of her face was blocked by the shades, but he could still tell that she was tall, pale, and had a pointy chin where the shades couldn’t cover. Any way he looked at her, she must be a beautiful woman.
As one of Lu Mingzhe’s very few friends (self-labeled), Xi Ru had only seen his friend’s little uncle before but never knew that his little uncle was married!
Xi Ru was merely grumbling to himself.
Lu Mingzhe’s ears perked up.
Little Aunty?
That… didn’t sound half bad.
But that awkward happiness of his was short-lived.
He strongly believed that, if left by himself, his little uncle has the strong potential to stay single for life!
He would never be able to find himself a girlfriend with that EQ of his.
Be faster if he just dreamed about it!
“So this is your cousin then?”
Xi Ru, who was already used to Lu Mingzhe always keeping a distance between himself and others, had no problems carrying on the conversation all by himself. As he was saying that, he had already squatted down, reached out his hand at her with a smile and said, “Hi, little kiddo, what is your name?”
Meng Shanshan was still feeling dizzy even now after being lectured by Meng Yuran for days to not walk away with strangers, especially those with the surname Meng.
That being said, her brother’s “lecture” was somewhat effective after all.
Seeing the passionate teenager in front of her, the little girl abruptly hid behind Lu Mingzhe.
Xi Ru had a look of disbelief on him as his hand was still held up in midair.
Was he some sort of a virus?
Meng Shanshan peeked out from behind Lu Mingzhe curiously as she looked at the unknown teenager with her large and bright eyes filled with curiosity.
She was a pretty girl who was oh so cute. All of a sudden, the only thought that was going through Xi Ru’s head was how cute she was!
She was practically an angel compared to his own two cousins who’d just jump up and down like monkeys.
Xi Ru was, once again, envious of Lu Mingzhe.
In the past, he was envious that Lu Mingzhe was good looking and had good grades at school, then he was envious that Lu Mingzhe was athletic and good at basketball. Oh, and “rich” too, of course.
“Rich” being the key part!
And now, he was envious that even his sister was cuter than others’!
